Food was disappointing. Enchiladas were over cooked and tasted stale. Stingy on the sides. For $20.99 very overpriced. Won’t be back.
Great experience. Thanks.
We love El Pinto! It’s our favorite New Mexican restaurant The food and service is exceptional and the atmosphere is unlike any other restaurant of its kind.
Wonderful service, quick and perfect. Outdoor seating was perfect for our group of 7. The food was superb! We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back again and recommend it to others!
Food was great, but the frozen margaritas were weak, weak, weak!
It took 10 to 15 minutes for our waiter to come to our table just for us to order our drinks, but other than that it was nice.
Thank you for the great service! We will see you all soon. Without THE BLACK CAT though please.
We had reservations for the patio . After waiting over 30 minutes they finally sat us indoors . We waited about 25 minutes for menus , we waited another 25 minutes for drinks . Our order was taken and we waited about another 25 minutes . They brought our food and then disappeared failing to leave utensils . Absolutely nobody passed our table that we could as for silverware . Finally when our food was cold we got our utensils and my salmon was burnt to a crips . The cook knew what they had done and placed it burnt side down . The waiter took it off the bill eventually . It was a huge disappointment.
Table wasn’t the beat location.
Excellent service and food, thank you for always making my choice a a great one!
First time we had to send our plate back, beans dried out, rice was cold. Barely even saw our server except when it was time for the check and "tip". Disappointed, bought family in the first time. Wish it could have gone better.
My favorite place to eat. The friendly service and great gold margaritas makes for a pleasurable visit every time.
This will be our go to spot for sure. A great place for taking guests when they visit and a nice date spot. The tequila menu is outstanding! The ribs were so delicious and literally fell off the bone. The ambiance was great sitting outdoors and enjoying the entire experience!
our visit was a business luncheon/ meeting, our waiter was Awesome Great Customer Service, we appreciate not being rushed and our food was excellent.
Food was mediocre at best. Was not served hot. Server didn’t seem to know the menu very well. Atmosphere was nice as we ate on the patio. Still transitioning from winter to spring so outside was a bit messy. Salsa was very good!
El Pinto is out go-to restaurant when we have out-of-town guests.
The nachos were delicious! Our server, Taylor, was very personable and efficient.
We had an outstanding meal at ElPinto 2 yrs ago. This visit was a great disappointment.
Started off with their soiled upholstered chairs which were a big turn off and we had to brush off the crumbs from previous diners - gross! Then when we sat down the arm on my hubby’s chair nearly fell off which we replaced with a nearby chair.
My club soda with lime was flat and the limes were shriveled and old. My chile relelleno was very tiny, very flat and had hardly any cheese in it. The sopapillas dough tasted like they had sat in refrig too long, absorbed other food odors, were tough and not hot. And the local honey that is raved about on the website was replaced with plastic packets of Kraft honey. Our waiter was brusque, not very friendly, hardly checked back in us. We had reservations and it was not overly crowded. Big letdown and we probably won’t go back
Always consistently great service and ambiance! Front seat can be a little “warmer” at greeting people but overall the staff is friendly. Love this place!
Great food and great service with a roaring fire on a cold and rainy New Mexican evening
The food was excellent and our waitress was very nice we definitely will be back again when we travel to Albuquerque.
Local delicious flavors with lovely ambience and outstanding service. Absolute Albuquerque must!
Lovely space for small or large get togethers. Quality food. Attentive staff.
Good food, service nice patio dining. A little pricey.
Unfortunately we were sat at a table on the southwest side of the building which has terrible atmosphere compared with other seating selections. The table wobbled, service was slow, and food was missing ordered items. Margarita was good, though.
I ordered the sopapillas stuffed with shredded grass-fed beef and had extra green chilli on the side. They were good and the green chilli was excellent. Will definitely go back again.
We always enjoy El Pinto and the outdoor landscape was nice. The service was lacking but I think the server may have been new or overwhelmed but he treated us right.
The patio was still wrapped up with winter barriers, seated on overflow patio despite reservations being made several weeks in advance. When getting seated the hostess advised us that it was our fault for not requesting a different patio by name. House manager and staff having loud staffing conversations about staffing on the patio.
El Pinto ione of our favorite dog friendly places to go. I go the chicken enchiladas with both red & green was very good & generous portion. Hubby got taco plate, did not come with salsa or chili of any kind & he was never asked if he wanted any. Mom & brother liked their orders. Had to ask for silverware & napkins. We were on the dog patio folks next to us were kind to us & our dogs. Some other folks were seated 2 tables away, got up & left when they saw the dogs. Prices have increased significantly. Wait staff appear to be having to bus their own tables, so not as attentive. I would have ordered a second beer but was never asked. Getting back from covid shows but I would still recommend this place.
I made reservations and got there early and still had to wait about an hour. I decided to not spend my hard earn money there so therefore we did not wait nor order food there. I will never eat there ever again. Very rude staff at the check in desk!!!
Absolutely a great place to dine. Outside seating provides base ambiance in my opinion. Popular place...suggest reservation.
Pricy but overall delicious.
Our server was in a big hurry to go home for the evening and left us feeling neglected. We were not given silverware and napkins until we complained. The chips were stale and the bottom of the barrel. When we asked for "real" honey for our sopapillas, not the honey in the packets, she said we could speak to the Manager about that. She also forgot some of the extra items we ordered. Since they came at the end we had to take them home.
We dine at El Pinto about 2-4 times a month since 2009. Generally we have no issues and are well taken care of. We had guests with us this time and felt embarrassed that we recommended this restaurant because we did not have a positive experience.
This restaurant has gone downhill over the years. Now it seems like they just don’t care. We thought it’s still a cool place to entertain guests since it does have nice ambiance.
It doesn’t make up for terrible service, sub par New Mexican food and the margaritas are half the size they used to be. Our meal was also $$$. They are just there to take tourists money. I’d rather go to Golden Pride.
Shaila was an excellent server, and the food was up to the high standards we always expect from El Pinto.
Great food and ambience! I love eating here! Such a treat!
Everything was excellent. Only thing is we day outside but were in an area that was covered with plastic. Didn't have the out for feel like I wanted and couldn't see the trees. That was the only disappointment. Everywhere else didn't have this. I'll Definitely ask next time before being sat
We had tried their salsas in the store and like them so while visiting Albuquerque we made it a point to make a reservation to try some items from their menu. We loved their red chili sauce on the enchiladas and of course their salsa for the chips that were served.
We will definitely stop and eat there again if in the area. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond what other restaurant staff does.
I enjoy my time at el pinto for dinner and drinks with friend's
Having been a loyal diner since El Pinto opened, we’ve always found the food to be good, not great, but always consistent. Last few times we’ve been there the food quality has increasingly gone down hill. Last nights meal was appalling. From none of the 6 entrees being hot to the food being lousy it was a dismal experience. I know El Pinto can do better but it will be a long time before we return. Absolutely disappointing.
