Mexican white cheese dip with a hint of jalapeños
Unfortunately it felt the staff was paying more attention to soccer than to their guests. We had children with us (one with a serious egg allergy) and had Mom not intervened we would have had to rush to the ER. The staff did not seem attentive to our table or need for high chairs and a booster seat either. Hopefully this is not the norm.
Good food. The music is overwhelming. If you want to go on a date and never speak to your date, this is your place.
The place has changed since our last visit which was very positive. Unfortunately this latest visit was quite disappointing.
Starting with being seated in the far rear next to a serving aisle to the kitchen--not good!
Next, they had a DJ who played loud music making conversation almost impossible!
Our server was good--friendly, fast and attentive. The meals were so so and worse several were served luke warm. An example would be the chicken fajita which did not come on the usual sizzling plate but was delivered almost cool! To top it off, the chicken was rather tough and not that much of it. The dish was heavy on peppers and onions. When I asked for an extra tortilla they charged me $1 for it!!! The salsa was extremely bland while the chips were paper thin. The refried beans were tasteless.
All in all not a pleasant dining experience and certainly not what we recalled. Too many good restaurants around the area so won't be returning.
Way too loud. The dj would put the speakers facing our table and we couldn’t hear the waiter or the person next to us. Food was good but higher price than most Mexican food places that offer more.
We brought a large group here and sat across multiple tables. The food was excellent. The service was outstanding. Highly recommend and will be back again!!!
You know your doomed when the salsa is bland and I was not a fan of the whole fried under seasoned tortillas it was served with. The best taco was the fried fish the burrata one was pot roast and tasted the same as the pork one. My son prefers Chipotle
Food was subpar. Service was terrible. Sat & server walked up “what do you want to drink”. Smh not even a “hi my name is, welcome” etc.
I don’t understand why this place is rated like it is.
Great food and margaritas! Celebrated a birthday and they sang and put a giant Sombrero on the birthday guy:) will definitely be eating here again.
For the fact that it was Cinco de Mayo they staff was very efficient. Had to confirm my reservation various times but from the time we arrived to finishing our meal it took 45 minutes. Very fast and efficient
El Patron Restaurant cancel my reservation. I don't know why
Overall a great meal. The waitress was good, but was slow to bring drinks and the food was brought out 3 separate times over 5+ minutes for 7 people. We had to sit and watch our food get cold, as we wanted to be polite to our friends 2 on another). I ended up paying for my friend's drinks, as I didn't want to say anything.
Our favorite spot for tacos in Orlando. Highly recommend the Blue Crab taco!
Excellent food and service!! Great atmosphere. Our server was great and all of our entrees delicious!
This was our second visit. We wish El Patron had a St. Louis branch!
Restaurant crammed 6 tables too close together when the other areas had no diners. This was very annoying and not in keeping with web site which claimed they were COVID responsible!
The food was good and attentive server.
Loved the food and service!!
Energetic atmosphere. Food is on par with the average Mexican restaurant. Flavorful queso but it arrived cold. Our server seemed either overwhelmed or spacey. I ordered the burrito with both veggies and shrimp and they forgot the veggies and also charged me for it.
Their chips and salsa/queso comes with round chips. I suggest asking for the triangle chips. Not sure why they give out the round chips other than that they are probably cheaper.
Overall an okay experience and might try again. Servers need to be more attentive.
The Sunday buffet was outstanding! Everything was so delicious! We took our family of nine and everyone loved it!
Their Margaritas are amazing. I highly recommend the flight to taste three different flavors. Their food was delicious and a lot. Definitely will be returning to this restaurant
Excellent authentic food and the best margaritas. The best service we’ve had on our vacation in Florida hands down.
I visit El Patron every time I'm the area as they have great food at
We were looking to try a Mexican restaurant around the Orlando area and found this on OpenTable. Happy we did. Great food, service was excellent, and margarita flight was a great deal and each of the three (Rustics, skinny, and I think classic) all were decent top shelf tequila and mixes that had great flavor. Their guacamole was one of my wife's favorites and our fajitas (steak and chicken) were good portions and flavors. The chips and salsa was also good and our server asked if I like hit sauce and brought out their homemade fire sauce. Use in small amounts she warned and rightfully so. Added great flavor but truly fire. We will be back.
Great food. Great service. Good vibe.
Looked good for families.
Apps & tacos edible, not great. Chimichanga was cold. We had to wait and wait for every course. Asked the waiter for boxes to take home leftovers - he said "sure" & proceeded to stack all the plates and take them away. 20 minute wait for fried ice cream and flan. They both arrived ice cold, neither dish was exposed to any heat. The horrendous service became laughable at the end. I know it's a tourist trap, but........................ it's a rather sad commentary on a place when the complimentary salsa & chips are the best thing other than the drinks.
Drinks arrived after food. Server forgot items that we were billed for. We won’t return.
The food was excellent but the service was a little slow
The food was excellent as well as the service and atmosphere! We will visit again.
We had fantastic service and fabulous food here. The flavors are authentic and the price is very reasonable for the quantity of food received. We will be back!
We enjoyed our visit. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful. Great drinks and food. Pleasant atmosphere. Would visit again.
The staff is very friendly. We had fajitas and they were over priced. My husband asked for cheese for his fajita and we were charged for it . It’s sad to be nickeled and dimes when you are over spending. Nice people subpar food.
Great food. I think the margaritas are a little overpriced, but good.
Excellent food and service.
Great food. Not overpriced. Somewhat of a good service. They can definitely do better but it’s good.
The food was decent, which is the only nice thing I can say about this place. I’m not sure if the staff is inexperienced, or indifferent. Either way, they were completely inattentive, and the sound of dishes being dropped and broken is constant. And it wasn’t even that busy. Our server Daniel, might be a nice guy, but the worst waiter in the world. It actually hurt to tip him. Smoothies were good. The appetizer sampler was good, but came out long after our other apps were completed. In fact, it came out so late, we forgot we had ordered it. Don’t get the salmon.
Worst meal I had in Orlando. It tastes like nothing. Salsa bland
