   Food was great! Service was friendly and prompt. We visited on a Saturday at lunch and it was a little loud with the DJ, but we were seated far enough away to be able to converse.

   Key lime pie and pastor tacos were great!!!!! Brisket was a little fibrous and tough but the fat outside was super tasty!! I wished they had the breaded fish, enchiladas were great!!! I didn’t like the green rice, I prefer red rice 😊 Flautas were awesome!

   Read a lot of appealing things about El Patio and the special events that they host. Sounded like a fun place to go. The menu had a number of items that looked delicious. Saturday night we gave El Patio a try. The place wasn't too busy until around 7:00, when the restaurant and bar filled up. The crowd had no impact on us, since our reservations were for 6:00. We were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant gives of a cool vibe....a rustic modern look. I wouldn't say that the ambience was the highlight of the night, but there were some major disappointments that I can't overlook. The service was really slow, without the follow up that you should receive, considering this isn't an inexpensive restaurant. It was a mixed bag when it came to the food. The salsa was watered down and lacked flavor. I've had salsa at so many Mexican and Tex-Mex Restaurants. El Patio's salsa would rank near the bottom, or maybe even dead last of all salsas I've had. It was so unimpressive, that we felt the need to order the White Queso to dip our chips. Mistake. Essentially, this was a stickey mess. Queso should be creamy so you can dip the chips. El Patio's queso was like if you just melted a block of cheese in the microwave. As it cooled, it became like putty. We had to use forks to cut it and place it on the chips. At $15, we expect better queso. When our meal arrived, the experience did take a turn for the better. My wife had the Chile Relleno and I ordered the Tres Amigos Enchiladas (Chicken, Al Pastor Pork, and Brisket). Both our meals were good. The cheese on my enchiladas was creamier than our queso. Remarkable, but true. Regardless, the dinner did save the night we had up to that point. All in all, we could attribute the negatives to staffing....maybe. Maybe, it was a new server. Maybe it was new kitchen personnel responsible for the salsa and queso. And maybe we'll go back. Life's too short for bad salsa. :) We'll have to see.

    Overall, food was good and tasted well. We did not receive the best service though. We understand it was a special event brunch, but it took too long for a server to assist us with drinks and anything we needed. It was our first time there and we were unsure if we could just start serving ourselves or if we had to wait for a server. It took at least 15 minutes for someone to assist us after being seated.

    This is my new favorite place... The buffet was just the right amount of variety. The ambiance was fantastic, wait staff was friendly and prompt. Never left anything not needed on the table. Even when it was just someone passing by. The Mariachi band was phenomenal. Great songs played and the singer had a great voice. Not to mention, the place where this all went down was very impressive. The Realm as it is called is my new favorite area. Very good scenery and water features. Nice places to try as well. Can't wait to go back.

    Poor service, hard to locate the server. Order for one person was wrong. Food was dry when served; seemed it it sat under the warmer for some time. I will not visit again.

    Food was ok. Nothing great. Don Margarita was pretty good, but not shaken at the table :-(. The drink came in a spiffy plastic shaker and two of us did not finish it. Chris our waiter had the perfect amount of attentiveness. The rooftop patio (which is on the 2nd floor, not the eighth) was not open but will be really fun in the spring

    Very disappointed. Came for mariachi brunch. Made reservation on Open Table for this "experience" for band and face painting but was told it ended at 2pm. My question is how did Open Table accept the reservation for 245p for the "experience" if it ended at 2p. Highly disappointed. The buffet was not impressive at all. Few choices and not tasty - for $25 per person we expected more. Doubt that we will return.

    Good food and great music! Took for the waitress to take our order due to a larger party, but someone else took our order. We didn’t mind as the food was good and the DJ was playing some good musing and even came over to our table to take our request. This was my second time here and the food was excellent as well as the drinks. Will be going back.

    Galentine's event was a bust. To be honest, the taco bar was very basic with limited options and selection. The only good tacos were the pastor, all other options were not appetizing. They didn't have much wait staff to serve, I had to wait over 10 min to even get someone's attention, let alone my drink. Tried it once, wont be back!

    Despite recommendations booked well in advance, we waited over 30 minutes to be sat. It was a valentines event, but poorly managed because they ran out of key items on the buffet such as chocolate covered strawberries. The waiter took our drink order, but never brought it. The brisket served to me from the buffet had good flavor, but mostly fat. At one point, the manager came by and asked if we were ok. When my friend said no and explained why, he went into excuses about the number of people there. Again, it was a reserved event. I cut him off and asked for the check. Instead of bringing it over, our waiter did, but ignored the credit card I had already placed (he laid the check on top and walked off.) I just wanted to leave so we opted to pay cash and just get out of there. There are MANY great Mexican restaurants in DFW and I have no reason to return to this one.

    They started advertising special events and they overbooked the restaurant. I had reservations for brunch and never got seated due to the poor scheduling. The hostess said it was a 10 minute wait…. Fast forward to an hour later and I was still waiting. The hostess was overwhelmed and a little rude. This is disappointing because their brunch is actually pretty good. I just wish the service was better!

    Galentines was a good idea but poorly executed. Waited an hour in line for the buffet that was $28 and you couldn’t even go back for a second plate or you’d have to wait another hour. Waitstaff was rude. No lipstick reading ever happened.

    We enjoyed a nice meal at El Patio last night. There were a few things that were not great but I think this place has a chance to be a total winner. On the positive side, most of the food was good and interesting. Especially loved the guacamole and bacon cheese ball appetizers. The drinks (especially the blood orange "bloody" Mezcarita...if you like a little smokiness) were all very nice. The service was quite slow at times but the server was very cordial and did his best to be attentive on a busy night. A couple of the dishes (my Cochinita Pibil) was over salted but the beans were very good. I did ask for corn tortillas and got flour. The other dishes were very good. Dessert was interesting...the cookie was very good. The Churros were good and came in a unique presentation...including several cones for the ice cream but there actually wasn't much ice cream. Overall we went away happy with the meal and if they can improve on a few areas this could become a very special place.

    Went here for brunch with a reservation , no brunch available they said it was about to be over , heard other eating customers whispering the food was bad . Got a drink at the bar and we left.
