SIMPLE INGREDIENTS. HONEST COOKING. UNPARALLELED AMBIANCE.
At El Nido we present exceptional ingredients from sources we know and trust. Our menu follows classic cooking with intelligent innovation. Wood-fired pizza, steaks and seafood cooked on the Argentine grill along with homemade pastas are the basis for our food. Our seasonal craft cocktails and Sommelier procured wine list compliment our diverse selections.
With many options we are sure you will find amazing ambiance in this historic building. You can enjoy the relaxed vibe of the Zozobra Bar or dine al fresco on our beautiful covered patio during the temperate Santa Fe summers. In the colder months you can keep warm and enjoy one of three fireplaces in our dining rooms. Something for everyone.
We hope to see you soon, come relax and enjoy the best hospitality and ambiance in Tesuque!

We are thrilled this neighborhood restaurant bar has reopened. We enjoy the yummy menu in an aesthetic environment with people like the owner who remember you.
We love El Nido. Despite the distance to Tesuque from Arroyo Hondo it’s always worth the drive. The food was excellent and it’s really a nice value for the quality.
The service is usually excellent but on our last visit we felt like the server was either distracted or inexperienced (or both) and it was a bit slow and the coordination between drinks and food was not great.
We celebrated Mother's Day at El Nido and the dinner was fabulous. Appetizers and main courses were all excellent, and we even convinced ourselves to have dessert, which we don't normally do. All in all a great evening, and we will be back!
Great neighborhood spot. Excellent service and nice menu.
El Nido delivered a top notch Mother's Day meal for us. Every dish was perfect, service was attentive but not overbearing, and the ambiance was roomy and cozy, but still hip and chic. The prices are a tad high, but you get what you pay for
Back to one of our favorite places after more than a year. Service not quite up to snuff, but, hey, did you hear about the pandemic? Why a favorite? Food always top notch. Three distinct, pleasant dining areas. Whether for pizza and a beer or a four-course meal, this is a great choice.
El Nido never disappoints. Mother’s Day menu was perfect for everyone at our table. We tried all the (4) desserts on the menu. They were scrumptious. We look forward to returning to El Nido very soon.
Service, setting, and food all outstanding. Will definitely return.
We dined there for Mother's Day. Overall the restaurant has a wonderful ambience and the wait staff was very attentive and thoughtful. I thought the menu was not very creative (lox and bagels, french toast, sea food pasta, etc.) for the occasion and it seemed overpriced. Although the artichoke appetizer was really tasty, it was small (hard to share) and again overpriced. The drinks sounded wonderful but were a bit flat in taste. I think more thought could be put into attracting customers--i.e. a few really fabulous dishes, and some lower priced items that are favorites, and music that adds to the ambience rather than distracts.
The food at El Nido is always great, and the drinks top notch.
Wonderful and clean patio with excellent food. We'll be back...
El Nido is truly a jewel! The food was outstanding and the setting is beautiful! Nestled in the valley with old cottonwoods and adobe - truly a unique NM experience! The manager
and staff are wonderful.
Food was great (appetizers fantastic), but desert selection was limited. I don’t understand why a restaurant would offer 3 types of cheesecake and only 1 noncheesecake desert.
Service was slow
So glad that El Nido reopened and we have already dined there twice. Excellent changes to menu with the new chef. As always the service is impeccable with Nate as our wait staff, Johnny at the bar and always Jeanine checking up. Everyone who services the tables are so polite.
Food is excellent. I recommend the limoncello chicken while others enjoyed the tempura. We cannot wait for the upcoming sushi bar! Looking forward to our next experience there.
El Nido is a great establishment that combines the best of food, service, and ambiance. I have eaten there a couple of times before and I find myself wanting to go back. It's a great spot whether you're a local or traveling through Santa Fe or Tesuque. It has a friendly neighborhood atmosphere and the servers are attentive and affable.
Jeanine was terrific and the restaurant was wonderful. All employees were so friendly too! Every course was amazing (filet mignon beef/empanadas, limoncello chicken, chick peas, artichokes, desert). Love the Argentina style cooking! Ambiance is wonderful and the art is exquisite. It’s our new go to restaurant in Santa Fe!
So glad to see El Nido back and hitting on all cylinders as the pandemic restrictions ease. Great food, presentation is outstanding, and the service is consistently great.
The wood grill gives the chef some wonderful alternatives with respect to unique preparation. He did parrot fish last night, and it was wonderful.
Excellent food and service. This is a wonderful place to dine for any occasion.
Excellent as always. The artichoke appetizer was excellent.
We had a terrific server who brought us delicious food
Excellent food, attentive and friendly staff, great ambiance- modern and stylish! Less than 15 minutes away from the tourist trap restaurants in Santa Fe, located in a pretty and wealthy village at the foothills of Santa Fe National Park. Will definitely return!
Glad to have a neighborhood restaurant back in business!
We have eaten at El Nido before the Covid shut down and the food and service were up very good. Last night's meal and service was sub par! It was so disappointing and we were expecting it to be an even better dining experience coming back after so long. We had guests join us from out of town and they said they would never recommend El Nido!
Great food and great service
We had a most scrumptious meal at El Nido , the service was excellent , every dish was prepared beautifully . Great wine list and good cocktails . The oysters were a favorite . Special atmosphere . Highly recommend .
Wonderful ambience. We were seated near one of the wood-burning fireplaces with a beautiful piece of art on the wall next to our table. We both enjoyed chefs specials for the evening. My wife had parrot fish served over a mushroom risotto with a light curry sauce. I had the hanger steak which was accompanied by fresh vegetables. Everything was perfectly prepared. Nate, our server, delivered things in a timely manner and we know there was a smile behind that mask. His personality added to the enjoyment of our meal. Highly recommend El Nido.
We just love this hidden gem. We always try to have at least 1 meal here when we are in Santa Fe! The food is delicious and the service is spot on! You will not be sorry if you book this lovely spot!
The execution and presentation of the cocktails didn't live up to the menu description. A complimentary bread board was provided, but plates delivered after finishing the bread and the 2 butters were too hard to spread. 3 entrees were ok. Friendly, yet inattentive service. Had to ask twice for candle to be re-lit. Not as good of as experience as previous visit, hopefully just an off night.
The staff at El Nido we’re delightful and everyone from the front of the house to the back went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. El Nido has become my favorite neighborhood restaurant!
Exceptional service and food. Loved the tempura appetizer special...the coating was a work of art, the vegetables fresh and delicious. We both enjoyed the Kobe burger. The wood burning grill created wonderful flavor to compliment the beefs texture. We’ll be back soon.
So glad El Nido had reopened. I look forward to many more fun times.
I love El Nido. Always great service and excellent food. I’d like to see more vegetarian options but they will work with you. It’s an overall great experience.
Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves !
It was a soft opening and a lot of things were served incorrectly snd had to be returned. But it was the first opening day since Covid closing so not a problem. Otherwise it is a great place, good food and pleasant people.
Great service and wonderful food and presentation
We always enjoy. The kale beet salad from October was a bit more tasty than this month but both good.
All the best!
They always create wonderful meals. Never disappointed. Great service and attention to details. Bravo Chef and staff! Perfection!
The new chef is fantastic. Everything was great, the food, atmosphere, cocktails, wine and service. Can’t wait to go back
Such amazing staff and service! Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience and every dish we ordered was delicious!
