At El Nido we present exceptional ingredients from sources we know and trust. Our menu follows classic Italian cooking with intelligent innovation. Wood-fired pizza, steaks and seafood cooked on the Argentine grill along with homemade pastas are the basis for our food. Our seasonal craft cocktails and Sommelier procured wine list compliment our diverse selections.
With many options we are sure you will find amazing ambiance in this historic building. You can enjoy the relaxed vibe of the Zozobra Bar or dine al fresco on our beautiful covered patio during the temperate Santa Fe summers. In the colder months you can keep warm and enjoy one of three fireplaces in our dining rooms. Something for everyone.
We hope to see you soon, come relax and enjoy the best hospitality and ambiance in Tesuque!

Service was very good, food was average but over priced
We eat at El Nido frequently and it continues to impress! Chris and his team provide great service while the food continues to get better and better! Their wood fired pizzas are to die for but the ruby trout in paper is spectacular. Pastas are home made and superb. Don't miss a chance to enjoy this great restaurant!
Always an enjoyable experience.
Made a reservation on Father’s Day and had no problem getting a table which was great. All staff were courteous professional and wonderful. The food was great!
We love Johnny the bartender!
Fantastic experience. Love dining at El Nido.
Food was great. Wagyu steak flanks were outstanding. We originally we seat outside but the cottonwoods were snowing so they let us move inside. Great dinner.
Love new menu and half price wines on Wednesday night 😋
Always wonderful. Great history
The food is wonderful and a reasonable price for Santa Fe. Love the interior of the restaurant. We went back twice over a 2 week period it was so good.
Would recommend to the manager to lower the music volume. At our second dinner the music volume was too loud and diners had to raise their voice to be heard...which made the entire experience a bit too noisy for me.
Hi Kathy, thank you for your feedback we are always striving to be better. We do keep the music volume slightly louder in our bar area in comparison to the main dining room. We are so sorry it put a damper on your dining experience. Please request a quiet table next time you join us and we will gladly take care of it. Hope to see you again soon! -The Nest
We have been here, and always enjoyed. We where here to see how the food is since they have a new chef. The food was excellent and we had a very pleasant stay, everyone enjoyed the food. The service was also outstanding!
Friendly, professional service. New chef. Fabulous food. Great atmosphere - very comfortable and warm. Highly recommend.
Very good local restaurant. Upscale and yet relaxing.
Very nice dinner and service, my spouse loved the prawns and squid ink pasta. Ceaser salad was amazing
This is one of my favorite places to go for dinner. Wait staff is very good and friendly. Ambiance is top notch. Nice bar area and an excellent outdoor seating area. Food changes up seasonally and there are always specials. Hard to beat El Nido for a good night out and at reasonable prices. Make the time to go and treat yourself to a excellent night.
As always - great service - great food & great company
Our waiter Max was terrific! So was Chris the bartender. Food was great too!
Eating at El Nido is always such a pleasure. The menu is full of good and creative choices and all the meals we’ve had there were simply delicious. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient and overall it is is a delightful place. I highly recommend El Nido.
This was a Mother's Day celebration. When my wife and I walked in, she was given a long-stem red rose. That was such a nice touch and totally unexpected. As indicated previously, the food, service and ambiance was top notch.
Great time, although when we were the first ones there, and they wouldn't let us switch tables, I thought that was a little rude. Food was great, but my filet mignon was a little overcooked.
Always delightful dining and special attention given to us. Food delicious and Derek’s cocktails were quite tasty. Love how Manager Chris always welcomes us as well. One of our Favorite spots to go!
This continues to be my favorite Santa Fe restaurant. It is sooooo close to downtown and I can't believe people don't know about it. It takes less time to get there than it does to go downtown and park. Don't miss Wine Down Wednesdays with 50% bottles of wine you can't go wrong! And the Sommelier Chris always has a secret stash!! Can't get back soon enough....
Beautiful setting in an unsuspecting place! What a great find - delicious food and great service. Personally just a tad too meat heavy for me, would like some other fish or poultry/vegetarian entrees. Def will return when in Santa Fe!
The bar area and booths were very nice and they had a great duo singing with guitars on a Saturday night. The server was professional and courteous. However, we were underwhelmed with the food. The crab fritter appetizer was so mushy on the inside that we couldn’t finish them. Oysters were good. My chicken was dry and my husband’s meal was not good. They charge high prices for mediocre food. Our cocktails were not that great and the wine selection limited. I would not return except to maybe try their $10 pizzas on weekdays.
I will say the place was packed when we left so maybe we ordered the wrong food. I much prefer Eloisa or Geronimos or Coyote Cafe when paying the price they charge.
Chris the manager and Sean the waiter were incredible and the food was absolutely gorgeous. Just superb rotisserie chicken and lovely ambiance. The entire staff was welcoming and professional. The look is Santa Fe elegance with a hint of Tuscany with a beautiful open flame kitchen. Also the cocktails are truly vintage fabulous.
Good food but quite noisy when restaurant fills
Among El Nido's attractions, high on the list are the (1) friendly and efficient service in a casual-and-welcoming ambiance, (2) variety and quality of menu offerings, and (3) extensive wine list. There's many a reason to dine here! And if you go, don't ignore the pizzas and pastas!
We had never heard of El Nido until it became part of the Margarita Trail. I think it is probably our new favorite restaurant ever! The pasta was homemade and fresh, the appetizer was amazing, the staff was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back!
Easter brunch with friends
Casual and nice Easter brunch, great service and food. Atmosphere always a plus. Can't wait to try Happy Hour!
As always, the food was superb and the service was impeccable. The staff is always personable and friendly. The premises are clean and inviting. We love this place. I would only suggest a change in music and maybe lower the volume. The 80s music blaring did not really suit the ambiance.
We loved El Nido. The atmosphere is nice, good music playing, and the service and food were excellent. It’s somewhat pricy, both the food and the wine list but the food was worth it. I’ve had shrimp scampi many times but the flavors in the one at El Nido are awesome. My husband had the bucatini with sausage and he said the same. We will be back, it was excellent.
Our out-of-town guests loved their meals! Delicious victuals in a cozy atmosphere. Thanks.
El Nido does an outstanding job with pizzas! Also, the half price Wednesday’s on bottles of wine, plus the regular happy hour pricing is wonderful. Great people work there, wonderful food, drinks and pricing. Dinners and desserts are also excellent.
Charming historic place beautifully updated
Excellent, excellent, excel (can I say it 3xs)). All is good. You can’t go wrong. The chef is awesome, talented and friendly. Great place for top notch options for dinner, drinks and desserts. Love how Christian is from Italy! So glad he is in the Village.
A great restaurant! Fabulous food,(best pasta dishes we've ever enjoyed in Santa Fe). Great service and management team, Johnny, Derrick, Melissa, Ed and of course, Chris the manager. Chris really knows his wine and food. They are the best. John & Martha Irwin
Great staff and service - everything that Johnny (the bartender) recommended was amazing. Everyone else was extremely friendly and overall it was an excellent experience, especially for this out-of-towner!
Hostess and bus person welcoming and pleasant. Bar area better ambience and vibe than dining room. Our group liked the roasted oysters, fig salad and charred Caesar. They also liked the waygu flank steak. Not so much on accompanying fries, overbattered and salty. Cacio e Pepe ordinary. Margherita less than ordinary. We also liked our waitress.
Hello Michael, We are sorry to hear we didn't execute at 100% for you. We appreciate the feedback and continue to strive to do better everyday. We hope to see you for another dinner. Please feel free to request the bar area on your next visit!
I go to Santa fe twice a year and always enjoy the restaurants-- however, El Nido is now at the very top of my list for best restaurants! The ambience is very "Santa Fe" and is an adobe building nestled within a forest in the Tesuque reservation. The rooms have beautiful art on the walls and the inside of the building is very "old" vintage design. Edward, our server, was terrific, my "Smoke & Mirrors" drink was wonderful (although extremely small) and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone living in or visiting Santa Fe! I will be returning twice a year!
Am thrilled to say that El Nido has returned as one of my favorite places. We enjoyed it when it first reopened but then it really went downhill in food quality & service. We decided to retry 3 weeks ago with some out of town guests because we love the bar area and I have to say it was wonderful, both food & service . We have now been back 3 times and have bought others with us. Everyone’s meal has been good but best of all the service has been warm & friendly. It will go back on the list of favs!
