At El Nido we present exceptional ingredients from sources we know and trust. Our menu follows classic cooking with intelligent innovation. Wood-fired pizza, steaks and seafood cooked on the Argentine grill along with homemade pastas are the basis for our food. Our seasonal craft cocktails and Sommelier procured wine list compliment our diverse selections.
With many options we are sure you will find amazing ambiance in this historic building. You can enjoy the relaxed vibe of the Zozobra Bar or dine al fresco on our beautiful covered patio during the temperate Santa Fe summers. In the colder months you can keep warm and enjoy one of three fireplaces in our dining rooms. Something for everyone.
We hope to see you soon, come relax and enjoy the best hospitality and ambiance in Tesuque!
The patio at El Nido is truly a beautiful place to enjoy a meal. The food is great and the service is always spot on. Great place for a casual meal or for a special occasion. One of our favorite spots!
Food and service are wonderful! Sea bass is so outstanding and the patio is very accommodating during these times. Wed half off wine deals cannot be beat and we all left with ideas about what to try the next time. Will be back soon!
My companion and I went for drinks, and we ended up sharing the bread service, the farmers salad, and the tomato bisque. The tomato bisque was fantastic. The farmer salad was super interesting and very good. It was composed of beets and onions and maybe carrots that were sous vide, as well as mixed greens, a fried artichoke bottom, and a green tomato. Maybe more. The bread service was only so-so. It was a green chili loaf and a small tart with tomatoes and onions. The jams that were served with it were interesting, but I prefer butter, which was also served. The bread tasted like an unflavorful Italian country loaf that was not well cooked, but I’d order it agIn because I am a bread head.
Only exterior patio service due to Covid measures. Food and service and staff attitude excellent!!
Steak was good but a little fatty. My wife loved her chicken. Always love this place.
Probably the best piece of sea bass I have ever had! The preparation was perfect along with the risotto it came with. We started the meal with the roasted radishes and beets which were amazing. Going back next week with friends and I can't wait!
Wonderful new flavors, thank you to the chef and the friendly staff.
Had a great dinner. Our waitress was excellent. She too very good care of us as well as thee rest of the staff.
EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE - Merissa and Jonathan
Love, love El Nido! Incredible food, outstanding service and love both the huge patio and charming dining room. Not to be missed when in Santa Fe or Tesuque!
Service and food was outstanding
Staff and Chef were excellent!!!
The food and cocktails were absolutely unique! Everything was delicious. We enjoyed meeting the staff...so personable and kind:)
El Nido was as awesome as ever. The Farmers Salad was so good. Our favorite place, service, food, drinks all excellent.
Chef Kai is amazing - from the flatbreads to his specials (last night was Seabass over risotto ), everything is delicious every single time . Great cocktail menu too !
There is an outdoor patio
Beautiful relaxing patio dining. Food was good, service was outstanding.
New Chef is excellent! You must go!
We had a wonderful meal at El Nido during the 4th of July weekend. They have a lovely outdoor patio space and the service was excellent. My husband had the lamb rump and it was so good he is trying to figure out how to replicate it at home!
Their attention to COVID issues was very good. They have a new chef since my last visit, late feb. The food is medium (steak, roast chicken) except for the el nido flatbread which was excellent. Don’t order the focaccia. The service, given the current situation, was a bit too intrusive for my taste. But that is just me. I did give a 25% tip because life has been so difficult recently. My last review said that they were my new favorite place. No longer.
A must visit if you are in Santa Fe or the surrounding area. We just returned from a week there and we ate dinner at El Nido TWICE! The Cacio e pepe with black truffles was the hands down winner in our party of 5. The Ribeye was cooked to perfection and the coal fired beets and radishes was divine (and I am not a fan of beets). The service is fantastic. The drinks perfect. The El Nido staff is taking social distancing and wearing masks seriously so it feels warm and safe. If patio seating is available - take advantage. Love, love, love this place!
We really appreciate the efforts El Nido has put forth to ensure a safe and healthy environment for dining. The patio is very spacious and no one is seated too closely. The service is wonderful. Both Jeanine, the manager and Katy, our wait person were wonderful. The meal we had, the Hulu Chicken with Mac and cheese is divine. If you want a night out, with great ambience, we strongly recommend El Nido.
Great place for locals or opera goers alike. All CDC guidelines are followed there.
AJ was fantastic at the bar. Food was superb. Highly recommend.
Greatly appreciated the exceptional service which is a rare find in SF. We felt COVID comfortable and safe dining on lovely shaded patio. Wine was fab. We had CSL cake appetizer which for the price needed 1 more CSL cake for total of 2. Scallops with black truffle had good flavor but menu says "plank smoked" which I should have considered because scallops didn't have that crusty hard sear that I love. So they were a bit rubbery. This won't deter me from returning, hopefully soon. I am requesting they carry my favorite Los Luceros Hacienda Gin.
We’ve been a fan of El Nido since it reopened some four years ago. They’ve had several chefs over the past four years, but their current chef is incredible
He started a few weeks before the governor’s lock down order— great timing— but he’s put forth some incredible take out dishes, from an incredible pheasant dinner on Easter Sunday to a tomahawk pork chop several times during the week.
We had dinner last night on their back patio, and I had the best sea bass I’ve ever tasted — golden brown on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside— with delicious vegetable risotto serving as a base. My wife had flatbread with five or six ingredients, including black truffles.
The service was impeccable, and the attention to health rules was there, but not overdone. I was pleased to see they had a good crowd, especially on a Wednesday evening. In short, a delightful evening. Glad they made it through lockdown.
We live in Dallas and make it a point to visit El Nido every time we’re in town, which is a few times a year. The food is always fantastic, as is the service. This past visit was during COVID, and the staff did a great job of adhering to policies without making the visit seem the least bit impersonal.... great job, as always!
The food and service were amazing as always. We have never been disappointed at El Nido.
This was our second time eating out during this pandemic. We sat in the outdoor patio and it was quite pleasant. The menu was slightly limited but excellent nonetheless. The drive from Santa Fe to El Nido is beautiful and one of my favorite excursions. This restaurant is a treasure and should be on everyone's list to visit.
We have been to this restaurant one other time. Both times it exceeds our expectations. The soft music in the background, the wonderful light smoked flavors and the architecture of the wood beams and the white stucco walls, It is a great comfortable place.
Dinner at El Nido was great! Our salad, appetizer and entrees were all very tasty, cocktails were creative and fun and the service was impeccable - everyone went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. Times are tough for restaurants right now, and we would highly recommend a trip to El Nido!
Had a great experience for my wife and I to enjoy our anniversary. "open table" made it easy to find availability of restaurants with the current limited seating. Wait staff was great. Manager personally checked on everyone and made sure the experience was great. We will be back soon for sure.
Service is A1. Food is delicious. The restaurant is authentic in its design and beautiful.
The presentation was beautiful, service was flawless and friendly and our dinner was succulent. We’ll definitely be back!!!
Dinner was awesome , we will support the restaurant...
New chef...new servers....but everything was spectacular! All the menu items take advantage of the amazing wood grill/oven there. I'm a real fan of Crab Cakes and their spin (Crab/Lobster/Shrimp cakes) was fabulous. Some really nice spicy (Chipotle?) sauce finished the dish perfectly. Then the flatbread... delicious! Crust was perfect. Toppings (smoked white sauce, goat cheese, artichokes and other goodies) were a perfect compliment to the smoky char on the flatbread crust. Topped it off with a tasty Sicilian red wine. One of the most amazing meals we've had in a while. Highly recommended!
Great experience for our anniversary dinner. It felt clean and safe, and all the staff wore masks.
Our favorite in Santa Fe. Great food, wonderful service. Outstanding ambiance. Love it.
Service was impeccable, and food was fabulous.
So glad to have El Nido back open since the COVID pandemic/crisis. Great new menu/new chef and same amazing quality.
