This place is amazing. The service was wonderful, the Sangria is epic and the food is delicious. I will definitely be returning. It’s now one of my favorite places. The brunch is a great way to try a bunch of different dishes.

What Happened? Used to be the go-to for Mexican. Menu weak, service very slow. Food bland and portions small. Music very loud and not appropriate for dinnertime. Plenty of staff present, 12 empty tables at dinner on Friday.. Clearly, I was the last to get the message. Complete waste of $160. NEVER AGAIN! Very sad this place had a lot of promise.

Not impressed. Hard , not fresh rice, same for the beans . Food was not worth taking leftovers home. The only thing we enjoy was the guacamole. Will not go again.

Told a meal was Gluten Free when really it was not. Thank goodness we asked to see the label on the food product. Another meal had way too much green sauce on it. Chips were then very soggy and all you tasted was the green sauce. We had a very lovely waitress who did all she could to make things right. So loud in this restaurant when busy. Has great happy hour deals!! I will come back.

House margaritas are great. Queso (with chorizo sausage) is yummy. And, my favorite entree is the chicken enchilada. Loaded with shredded chicken and the ranchero sauce is just right. Oh, and go there for your birthday and you get a free shot of tequila!!!!!

Entrees were not hot; luke warm. Steak tacos and steak fahitas were tough and fatty; could not eat them. Happy with waitress. Not pleased with the kitchen. Great margaritas! Will come back for the margaritas and appretizers; nice atmosphere.

This was my first time visiting El Guapo, but it definitely won't be my last. I was limited in what I could order because I didn't have access to a refrigerator to store any leftovers on that day, but my two friends were very happy with the dishes they ordered and I enjoyed tasting them as well. The menu is very extensive. El Guapo fills a void in the community. We will definitely be back soon!

Made a reservation. When I got there was told they stopped serving at 10pm. Change your reservation settings next time, so I don’t waste my time and gas.

We sat at the table for at least 10 minutes before somebody came over to greet us when we finally got the food the meat look green and the nachos had a liquid all in the bottom of them would never go here again

They weren’t full at all but service was extremely slow and the waitress had an attitude. She seemed to come around at the end of the meal but it was too late. The food was basic and not seasoned. It’s the 2nd time we’ve been. We didn’t love it the first time. A year later we decided to try it again. It will be out last.

Oh my god! The napkins were so incredibly soft, it was like wiping your face with the finest silk! If you like everything hot and spicy this is your place. Come prepared to drink, because your mouth will be on fire the while time!

The service was excellent. The crevice and salsa were extremely salty and the fajitas were bland. My drink tasted like simple syrup. I don’t think it had any alcohol in it. We liked the tortilla chips!

This was our 3rd visit and probably last. Food is good but service is erratic. We only saw our waitress when she took our initial order. Someone else delivers the food. We had to flag down waitress to get more drinks etc. She was too busy folding napkins and silverware etc. to check on us. Had to flag her to bring the bill also. It was a week night and the restaurant was not crowded.

The food is very good, the service is friendly but misses some of the nuances of good service like a quick follow up to make sure the table has everything or realizing what customers might need without them asking. The live cultural music was a nice touch to set the atmosphere but it was so loud it was hard to have a conversation across the table.

We came in on a whim on a Sunday evening fairly early. The waitress was outstanding, and the food was quite good. I was pleasantly surprised. We left just before Sunday night trivia started, but we plan to come back for that.

Had a wonderful experience at El Gaupo! The service was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. My husband had the burrito and said it was so good. I had the pork enchiladas and they were so good, also. Can't wait to go back... it's our new favorite place!

I would hardly call the noise level "Energetic" as was pre-filled on the review. The restaurant has a large bar area which is not separate in any way from the rest of the dining area, so as they re-arranged tables for a LARGE crowd which came in our Anniversary dinner turned into a headache of loud talking and the occasional yell thanks to some sports game playing on the TVs and some energetic alcohol consuming patrons. The band started setting up so we left. Overall the food was good with a couple of items more outstanding than other similar restaurants, but nothing to justify the higher cost, especially the ambiance. The service was friendly, fast, and very accurate. The foot was tasty but could have used more flavor and heat (temperature). Steak tacos should not taste similar to pulled pork. It is unlikely that we will return. If I want to dine in a bar then I'll go to a bar. Actually I dislike bar dining so...
