Food and drinks were amazing and the place is so cute and romantic but the service is really slow. We weren’t in a hurry so it did not ruin the meal and the staff was really friendly, but be prepared for a more relaxed vibe service-wise.
Nick was our server and he was amazing!
Service was not great. Took over an hour to get food out for 5 people when the restaurant wasn’t even 1/4 full. Server seemed annoyed to be helping us, especially when we asked for an update on when our food would be out.
Jordan took amazing care of us on my birthday- thank you
Amazing vegetarian enchiladas, add the fajita veggies. Wait staff were super friendly and cool. Fun all around experience taking customers for a working lunch
Great food in a relaxed casual setting. Kid friendly, excellent cocktails and extremely friendly efficient service.
Weekend brunch: The average service was surpassed by the delicious and satisfying food, which alone warrants a repeat visit.
I already recommended El Grito already to friends - excellent food, good drinks and great atmosphere!
I go to El Grito for lunch and it has been generally good. We went for a Mother's Day brunch and it felt a little sub par-the Migas had too much egg, and the tacos were so-so. Service was fine but there weren't many people around so was a expected.
So would recommend for lunch, not so much for evenings/special occasion.
Was not open. that was annoying because we planned to go.
There doesn’t seem to be a link between actual open tables and the Open Tables app. I made a reservation and it took 20 minutes for an actual table to open up for us. Once the food showed up - it was delicious! Just think the staff was overwhelmed with the lunch rush - but the lack of real-time table availability could be improved upon.
Loved the $2 taco options on Saturday night! Such a nice refresher from everything being so expensive for dinner.
It wasn’t super busy for a Saturday in the main dining area or the bar. We made reservations but that definitely was not needed. The servers were friendly, the food and drinks were good, but it took a long time to get drinks throughout the night, around 20 mins (or longer) from the time you ordered with the server. Not sure if that is normal for El Grito or if it was just an off night. Either way I would give this place one more try.
Love the bar and the food was delicious!
The restaurant is fantastic. The food is great as well as the specialty drinks. The service was also fantastic. Everything about the evening was spectacular.
Amazing modern Mexican food. Fabulous portions and flavor. Great variety of cocktails. Try the roasted salsa - you won’t regret it!
Service wasn’t great and it was really cold in the restaurant.
The waiter was fantastic and the food was great!
Uncomfortably cold in the dining room
Liked it very much the first visit, we wanted to go here again. Not so great this time around. Ordered a chopped salad without chicken. It was lack luster except it had some guacamole & that was the only flavor in the salad. Had to ask for salt & lemon to spruce it up. We ordered carnitas & fried cod tacos. They were good. Since it was a special on Saturdays, there were no sides that came with the order. So we ordered a side of black beans. That was a mistake. It tasted like a can of beans were opened, heated, stirred in some chopped tomatoes & brought to the table. No flavor/seasoning what so ever. Even after asking for extra salsa twice, we didn’t get any. Overall a good, quick bite on a Sat evening.
