Incredible view, knowledgeable servers and excellent food and drinks!
The service was slow, very few checkups on how we were doing on drinks. The portions were even small for a Tapas place. Great view though.
Positive and tasty but expensive.
We sat at a booth just away from the windows. Great views! I'm thankful we are smaller people as the booth was cozy to say the least and felt a tiny bit cramped. The service was a little slow BUT she gave us great cocktail, wine and food recommendations! Everything we tried was awesome. I loved the med spread, lamb ribs and the Valencian Paella was tasty. Oh and one of the best gin and tonics i've ever had!
Fantastic service from the host to the waiter and everyone in between. Better yet the food was absolutely delicious as were the drinks.
Wonderful restaurant with incredible 360 degree views of the city and mountains. The food and drinks were fabulous for the price. We will definitely go back.
Came for my second time (first time was awesome!) with my Dad and girlfriend. We had a great meal. My Dad is a real foodie and loved the food and the atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
Great food. It was a special occasion and a friend of ours purchased a bottle of wine for us and ran into some charging issues but otherwise, good service.
El Five was awesome for date night! The food was great and the drinks were so fun! Can't beat the view, either.
Excellent server and knowledgeable wine and food recommendations. We expected the food to be amazing; it wasn’t. It was very good, solid “B”, but not amazing. A bit pricey.
Postponed Mother’s Day dinner
El Five had a variety of delicious tapas for their first brunch menu. Our food was delicious. Paella was one of the best ever. We will be back.
The best brunch in Denver
Had an amazing date night with my husband at El Five! Great food, great service & great ambiance!
This place is absolutely amazing!! Our server knew the menu and was able to recommend some delicious dishes!! I don’t think you could order anything on the menu and not love it. Atmosphere was really neat - sat on the city view side. It was an unforgettable evening! Will DEFINITELY be coming back!!
The valet, service and food were all wonderful. The hostess was grumpy.
I usually like any and all of Justin's restaurant (Root Down is my absolute favorite) but I won't be returning here. Honestly, the worst part was the service. I am surprised by how long it took for someone to come to our table once we were seated (to the point that I thought the hostess had forgotten to tell the server) but it was a theme throughout the meal. The restaurant was not that busy (it was 5:15 pm). This is also the first time we didn't really care for the cocktails (which we cannot forgive at the $13 price point). They were very boozy and it overpowered the other flavors.
Again, still enjoy Root Down, Vital Root and Linger (I've only been to Ophelia's once); I will continue going there. But El Five is not worth it due to the extremely loud environment, poor service and not great cocktails.
Once again a simply delicious and unique dining experience!
Food was awesome, view was awesome! Can't wait to go back.
The service was a little slow and the paella took a considerable amount of time. Awesome views! The food was good but not outstanding.
We had a great time and Calle did a wonderful job. Great food and an eclectic wine list.
This one is our favorite in Denver. Yes, I'm not exaggerating. Exceptional views, unique flavors, great staff.
Our last night visiting Denver. Incredible view of skyline. Hip vibe/well-dressed young clientele for the most part. Service great. Food was outstanding!
Superb! It was our first time there. Excellent experience on all fronts.
Love the food and the view! Get the matzah ball soup dumplings and Turkish pizza.
The food and cocktails here are absolutely amazing. It is so hard not to order everything on the menu. One of the best restaurants in Denver with one of the best views of the Denver Skyline ever! I cannot say anything bad about this restaurant.
It was lit
Ambiance and views are truly spectacular, however, the food is sadly even less than mediocre.
Will return only for a cocktail....sadly, unlike the original restaurant Root Down, the food at El
Five sounds creative and delicious but isn't. Looks great on the plate, way less on the palate.
Wish they had kept up the integrity with the food quality, however they're only drawing people with the views, and they know it. For the price, seriously lacking.
#1-The restaurant's best feature is definitely the view of both the skyline and mountains.
#2-The food interesting, our group enjoyed it.
#3-However, our server was inattentive and when we went to order another paella she told us that we would have to change tables because the one we were sitting at had another reservation. Needless to say we did not move tables!
She later back tracked wanting to make sure she didn't damage the amount of her tip-
Extremely RUDE period.
It was just okay. I had high hopes and just left with a meh feeling.
This was my first time being at El Five and it was amazing. The ambiance was by far the best I have been to in Denver. The food was out of this world, the seafood paella was by far my favorite! Our server Lindsey was great and very knowledgeable about the menu and had great suggestions, so it made our overall experience one of the best. Thanks again for a great evening, we will for sure be returning!!!
We had a fabulous evening! Fir the most part, we had our server suggest our menu and he was spot on. The food, ambiance and view were all great. We had a very loud party sitting directly behind us that did prevent us from hearing our own conversation at times but I’m thinking that was just a one-off, luck of the draw kind of thing.
We will definitely be back!
The entire group from seating, wait staff, entree runners, management, etc. made us feel more than welcome during our 30th anniversary. At one point my wife and I noticed all of the tables engrossed in conversation! No cel phones were observed for most of our evening. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming, and friendly vibe. Julianne was great with her suggestions on which dishes we'd prefer.
Fantastic culinary experience! Service was excellent!
It was a fantastic evening from start to finish. Kalli is an asset to the team, professional and friendly, great recommendations, gorgeous view and well seasoned dishes- #winner
It was good, ambience was romantic, food was great, beverages were OK
Great views of the city. Very upbeat. Upscale menu.
We had such a great experience at El Five, the wait staff were helpful, attentive and on point. The food all tasted fresh like it was straight from the garden. Love the Tapas style as we were able to try a few things and share. We sat on mountain side which seemed to be a little bit quieter for conversation and we were able to watch the sunset. After dinner, our waiter suggested we take our wine out to the balcony on the other side of the restaurant, so we enjoyed the last bit of the night overlooking the city.
Phenomenal seafood paella!
