Good menu. Expensive, but enjoyable. Great views.
Amazing views and great food. Probably could have ordered half of what they recommended, but leftovers are nice..
Excellent service, excellent food👌🏼
Always great food
Fun! Great food, great views, great atmosphere. Lamb sausage tappa was out of this world.
This was hands down the best dining experience we've had in the longest time! Edible Beats just does not disappoint. We are foodies and love a good time and the meal, the ambiance, the views, service and vibe at El Five were all exceptional.
Lovely date night. I have been wanting to try El 5 for a while now and was able to get a reservation for an early dinner on a Friday night. We were seated in one of the individual pod/greenhouses on the balcony. It was supposed to be heated, and there was a heater, but it was pretty chilly still. The we got 3 plates of tapas, the Lebanese dip, the papas and the goat cheese fritters that were all delicious. We also got the seafood paella and the rice was dry and the fish (with the exception of the scallops) was overcooked and dry, so that was a bit of a bummer. BUT the waitstaff was lovely and had really good cocktail and wine recommendations and the grappa and port with the cheesecake was a really nice way to close out the night. I think we'll likely visit again after the weirdness of the pandemic is over to get a better sense of what the ambiance inside actually is since we were really removed from other people - which is a good thing during this time, but not exactly the "real full" experience.
A great spot with brunch favorites and great views of the city!
This was a surprise treat. We had been to other restaurants owned by the same group but this was superior. We made a last minute reservation and were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful food, service and atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive and the view from the top over Denver was spectacular on a beautiful day. We were there for brunch which usually ends at 3 but we were graciously served, even as things were changing over to dinner. We had the special pork dish which was pulled pork over polenta and a subtle but spicy sauce, a few vegetables and a beautiful egg to top it off. We started with the savory pintxos platter of 3 types of small bites which are delectable. One meat, one veg, and one fish. All little morsels which were devoured instantly as was our main meal. This is billed as Mediterranean, but leans in the Spanish direction. At brunch, the menu is abbreviated, but I can’t wait to return for dinner—In addition, the wait staff was very knowledgeable about the short but well curated wine list. It was truly an afternoon of delight. I would return in an instant.
Love this place!!!! Great food & great vibes!!!!!!!
Amazing food and incredible views! We had great service. Highly highly recommend any of the paellas!
Our server was great! My friend can be a little demanding so I'm thankful for the great service!
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND El Five any day of the week for any occasion. We went to celebrate my 31st birthday and the entire experience was immaculate! I will be visiting again & I would highly recommend everyone else to as well! The lamb sausage & seafood paella was EVERYTHING!
Very accommodating! We showed up on valentines day, but they hadn't told us when we made our reservation that the only menu option was the $200 valentines day special. However, the chef was able to give us an a la carte ordering option, saving us the unexpected expense. Other than the mixup, we had a phenomenal dinner and enjoyed the ambiance.
It was a great night! We celebrated Valentine’s there and loved every bit of the menu.
We booked our reservation for Valentine’s Day, which we all know to be busy for most places. We went at 3pm, which we found out upon arrival that it was a brunch menu only. It was not busy. The host who greeted us wasn’t very informative when we asked about parking. She told us to “park at our own risk” when we asked about the designated “guest parking” area. She told us last call was at 3:30, and wasn’t very clear on what that meant, being that the restaurant began it’s dinner menu at 5pm. We ordered our dishes, to then have our server bring out two entirely different dishes 30 minutes later. Reminder, it was not busy. He eventually brought out the correct dishes, which were actually pretty good. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for the service. Low quality service for the price.
the food was good but i don’t understand why let people make reservations for 3pm if y’all close at 3pm to then reopen at 5 with dinner menu. this wasn’t mentioned when i made my reservation. so we had brunch food at 3 and were basically rushed out by 3:46pm. barely any options for food or dessert.
I always know I am going to have a wonderful and tasty experience at El Five. This was my first time trying their brunch and I will certainly be back to try everything else on the menu!
Valentine’s Day brunch
Fantastic view and the food was great. We had a great time!
It was lovely in spite of the freezing cold temps that they couldn’t seem to control.
The indoor dining was too cold as the outside dining
The food was good but pretty standard tapas. The sangria was awful and tasted like a thick V8 Juice which was extremely disappointing. I understand why people recommend which is for the ambience and view but it was overrated.
Slow service, loud party next to us, got out on the west side
Had the opportunity to sit outside in igloo at night. It was warm and intimate and had an amazing view. The food was amazing from the hummus to carne paella. Great service, highly recommend for a great evening of fine dining!
It was great food, atmosphere, and drinks! Highly recommend.
El Five is one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in Denver. The ambiance and the view from the rooftop is amazing. The food is incredible and the service is always great. The mood and lighting in the restaurant is romantic and great for a date night or celebratory dinner.
Paella was great
Great food in an awesome atmosphere.
Great views of the city and excellent food. The steak was our favorite.
It was really nice, we had a good seat with a nice view but our server had a bit of a lack of urgency much at all. Our food came out before the bottle of wine we ordered before placing a food order which was a bit strange to me considering there was no time required to make a cocktail or anything. Just a bottle of wine. Overall the food is so delicious. The other times I had been there our servers were much better than this time. Also I’m 99% sure the server was ignoring me on purpose and only talking to my (male) counterpart. She preferred to chit chat with rather than actually work. He had to tell her that another table was trying to get her attention.
I was paying, stop working men for tips & take care of both of your guests equally.😂
It was our anniversary, and we were given a wonderful first taste as well as prosecco to end. Every tapa was wonderful and well presented and explained. Nice music and wait staff.
Great ambiance! Food was mediocre and wait staff was a little disorganized
Friendly staff and great ambiance
Made a reservation for 2 over 2 weeks in advance. Only to show up and to be told they didn’t have a table for us because others were “dining past their reservation” then tried to sit us at a tiny bar table with hardly enough room for drinks and sitting side by side. After I said that this was unacceptable they seated us directly next to a full table! No masks no distance. And we were told to stay as far away from the others as possible. This would hardly be ok in normal times. This is especially unacceptable during a pandemic. This all was super disappointing as I was super excited to try out el 5 and had been waiting a long time to go. Made the whole experience sub par.
We love it!!!
Very good COVID-19 precautions throughout which is, by far, the most important factor these days (perhaps adding it to the star rating is something that Booking/Open Table should consider) but beyond that, the cuisine, taste and presentation along with the magnificent view (somewhat obscured by the temporary "greenhouses" on the patio) make it totally worthwhile. However, as with most tapas-type of places, the prices can add-up quickly. In better times, going with a larger group would allow for tasting of more dishes too but as it was, of the four we had, each was better than the previous and the seafood paella was the best we've ever had (my spouse having lived in Madrid for a few years and my having spent extensive time throughout Spain as well).
Wonderful food and service. Cant wait to come back!
