Busy out on the deck, wait staff paid attention to food sensitivities and got that dialed in, but after food came out, no one ever followed up to how our meal tasted. We wanted to order another meal to go, but passed on it due to lack of time. Nice evening, we’ll be back again, food is always delicious.
Fantastic brunch. The dishes and cocktails were amazing.
Great food and amazing ambiance. Loved our date night.
The food is great, my wife and I love tapas since it gives us a chance to sample lots of different options. The sea food paella is delicious, but it takes a while so order it before you get drinks. There are a lot of different drink options and the menu encourages you to seek variety, but if you are looking for traditional cocktails order off menu.
Everything was amazing! All the food was great and we got sit out on the patio with an amazing view. Definitely would recommend this place 👌🏽
What a great spot. Great food and service and such a remarkable view on the fifth floor of a pretty plain office building from the outside. Hostess station on the ground floor is really utilitarian and a bit odd, but once you get in the elevator and get to the restaurant, the magic happens. Highly recommend.
Outstanding!! It was absolutely perfect! As a restaurant professional, I rarely give a place 5stars because I’m SO particular. We sat at the chef’s table and had so much fun watching the line create beautiful plates while being very engaging. We started with a whipped garlic spread that was so beautiful and really delicious. Next we had the Spread of Med which was not only beautifully pbut was an explosion of flavors in my mouth. My taste buds were singing. When we sat down to order we asked for suggestions and one was the goat cheese croquettes. My friend said she had tried goat cheese “at least 35 times and HATED it. I laughed to myself because I thought, if I hated something that much I’d probably have stopped at 2 or 3. So I ordered those.. Haha! She said she FINALLY had goat cheese she not only liked, but loved. From the chef’s table you could see beautiful city views and as the sun set and twinkling lights came on, gorgeous!! Next time I’m coming with a date. What a romantic spot! Sharing food, a glass of outstanding wine and fabulous mountain or city views. A trifecta!
We were seated in a wind tunnel. We had a view but we were just inside the door so the wind and noise were very annoying. Our waitress shut the door but the manager reopened it.
Since its a small plate venue I expected the plates to be spaced better. Two at a time was not what I anticipated. In their defense maybe I should have spaced my orders.
Overall I give the experience three stars.
This was one of the best restaurants I have been to in Denver. The dishes are interesting, beautiful and so delicious. It is a bit pricey but well worth it!
Another great experience at El Five. Service was great with excellent recommendations. The food was outstanding and nicely presented.
Innovative menu, very professional and friendly service along with terrific city views. Highly recommended!
The experience was incredible. Alyssa was our server and she was just the greatest! And the view was incredible, but the food overall was the absolute highlight of the night. Highly recommend.
Dinner & cocktails at El Five before the Rolling Stones concert....it was great. Loved the tapas menu...but do wish we wouldve ordered paella...it looked AMAZING! Sangria and FRose were delicious and refreshing ...the crab app and the lamb ribs were VERY tasty. Hip spot with great views and cool murals. Perfect start to a great date night!
We celebrated our anniversary here and every last thing was absolutely fabulous! Service was so amazing it was in its own category, six stars! Food was stellar ... creative and fresh flavors. Can't wait to go back!
Spectacular meal and setting!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food was fantastic, especially the paella. Unfortunately, service below the level expected at such a place as this. Server couldn't have been more uninterested in our experience and didnt acknowledge a birthday was being celebrated despite indicating on the reservation. Skipped dessert because of the lack of service so cant comment on it.
We were seated outside overlooking downtown. It was a great view! The portions were bigger than we thought we took the paella home. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. I wish they had a happy hour menu!
One my favorite restaurants that I go to whenever friends are in town and for happy hour. Had mediocre service last night that took a long time to get seated and ordered several paella’s that took almost an hour to come out.
Amazing seafood paella and great small plates! Great service at the bar.
Jeremy was awesome along with Issac GM! My friends and I will be back 😊
I loved it. Great place and delicious food to enjoy with family and friends. Great staff too.
My husband and I were visiting from out of town and we’re celebrating our one year anniversary. This restaurant was recommended by a server at another restaurant for both the food and views. El Five did not disappoint ! The views of the city were beautiful and food was excellent. We had the seafood paella and seafood platter appetizer. Would come back and definitely would recommend to anyone visiting Denver !
Love the location and ambiance of El Five. However, I felt that their food missed the mark and was a bit overpriced for the small portions. But I guess that is the price you pay for an unparalleled view of downtown Denver and the hip and swanky vibe of the restaurant.
Wow, we were very impressed. Every dish we tried was well executed, the view, and awesome service. Thank you for a lovely brunch.
I’ve been to El Five before this visit and the views and the cocktails are always great, the food has been good. This visit in particular we were surprised with excessively salty food. Once is understandable, things happen, but after ordering a replacement dish because the first dish was salty and the replacement comes out equally as salty- that is frustrating.
Absolutely loved our experience here! My wife and I split two of the tapas (eggplant fries and Turkish pizza), and a half of paella. The paella was honestly enough for us to have had by itself, it was incredible and was a perfect meal. We also had a few cocktails that were expertly crafted. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and will definitely be back.
The food is incredible! The service is fantastic our waiter was great! Never had to ask for anything he brought drinks and water whenever it was half empty. What a foodie treat! Heavenly! My friends thought it was wonderful and couldn’t wait to bring their friends! 100% recommendation. Great for Vegan and Vegetarians as well as everyone else!
A fabulous meal in Denver. The food, drinks and views are all spectacular. Everyone living or visiting Denver MUST TRY El Five.
Best paella in Denver, hands down. LOVE the seafood paella and their tapas are all delicious. Great place for a date night!
Fave restaurant in Denver. Always love coming here! The Turkish pizza was absolutely out of this world.
The food is incredible we tried several tapas and the paella.
Very good food, but w/ a few misses. The Valencian paella was yummy, but the tapas were just ok. The burrata was the best. But the harissa eggplant fries, although quite flavorful, were too soggy--they needed to be a bit crispier. And the sea bass was good but nothing special. Limited seating outside, but the view is great (but also from many tables inside). Wine list had solid selections although in a rather narrow range. Servers were attentive but not particularly knowledgeable. The kitchen was very accommodating to diet restrictions. All in all, a good experience, but a bit too pricey for the sum of all parts.
We went for our anniversary, had a fabulous meal and the entire staff treated us like royalty! It was lovely!
Amazing service, amazing food, fabulous drinks and a great view/outdoor dining. But just as fabulous inside.
Great view of the city from the outside deck! Food was solid, great drinks. Service was just a tad slow, but good overall.
Wonderful views of the city or the mountains. Nice variety of menu options. We tried 5 different items and all were fantastic! While several of the adult beverages sounded good, we all went with the apricot frose’ which was so good! Not too sweet. Also experienced excellent service. I will definitely be back!
Unfortunately, when you're asked about your reservation like "is this a special event" i.e birthday, etc. and you answer the questions and then you arrive at the restaurant and not one special things happens for the birthday your celebrating (in this case my girlfriend), it's really disappointing.
I mean NOTHING!! No mention, no candle, no nothing. Our waitress was at most, should have been slinging drinks in some dive bar or better yet, working in a truck stop. She was young with a snotty attitude and pretty much ruined the experience for us.
The food is unique and good so you should be disappointed but you're definitely paying for the view which to be honest, is just another city skyline view so think about why you're going here. Don't let everyone in town, tell you this is the place to try...it's simply not that amazing and you won't be disappointed if in fact it doesn't happen before you leave Denver...I promise!!
Cat gave excellent service—we were seated early and given great attention and explanations of each dish. Back of house was fantastic in sending dishes out in a timely manner. Would fully recommend!!
Really great sunset on the Mountain side. Cityside is an outside patio which is very cool as well. Food was excellent. Went with the Combo App and Paella. Everything was excellent. Server was real pleasure. Wife has allergies and they were completely addressed easily.
