The food/drinks and staff were outstanding. Some of the clientele were obviously snooty but hey money is money. Can’t beat the views!
Amazing food and service. Wines were good too. Beautiful environment and location. The view was great!! Thank
The food was great! And some amazing views. Service was great, will definitely return.
We asked for an outside table and was seated indoor. Several people in our group have difficulty hearing. The extreme noise level at our table prevented them from participating in the conversation. Sad.
delicious food and drink, quality service, lovely vibe
The view was spectacular. Service was superb. Food was excellent but portions were on the small side even for small plates.
Everything was great! The food and cocktails are exceptional here!
El Five was a fantastic experience, and easily the best meal we had during our four-day visit to Denver.
Once we were sat, our server was informative and helpful, and the Tempranillo they have is spot on.
After thinking food couldn't get any better than the Smoked Burrata and Goat Cheese Croquettes, we were served our Carne Paella, and that sent us through the roof. It was amazing - the meats were great, the peppers were great... but that rice, folks: HOLY COW. So crunchy on the bottom, so creamy in the middle; it was ethereal.
The place itself offers amazing views of Denver and has a fun, energetic vibe. The only knock on the experience was not anything the restaurant could control - it was an insanely loud patron whose bloviations carried throughout the entire space.
So five stars, and that's only because they don't offer six. Loved it, and will go back in the future.
El Five is one of the best restaurants I have been to. The ambiance was incredible and the food was both healthy and filling. I would absolutely return!
Food was amazing, view was incredible. We sat outside and the night was so beautiful. Our favorites were the lamb sausage and the pork loin.
Amazing gluten free accommodations
The food was excellent. Get the pork loin. Just too dam good
Extremely disappointed with our experience. Wait staff was good, but food was very underwhelming.
Beautiful views, excellent service, delicious paella!
Honestly such a great place to eat and see the city! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great food and a great ambiance.
Food was outstanding! We tried several starters and 2 paellas. The veggie paella was amazing. The ambience was beautiful. Server was very kind and helpful. Great experience!
It was great! The food was amazing
Amazing food, amazing views. Try to go before sunset to see the changing skyline of the city and don't miss the opposite side of the restaurant with gorgeous Mountain views as well. Carne paella is not to be missed as well as the pork loin tapa
loved everything. PLEASE keep up the high standard of food. - in my humble opinion the quality of food itself, flavoring and sauces are seriously lacking in most dining experiences we've had in Denver.
(It's often really salty, or only nice for the first few bites in some places)
We loved every mouthful
the noise level was surprisingly low and the right energy/ambiance was created
Just one note - the tables are a little close to the other ones - on the booths - a simple low, glass divide would fix this.
Incredible food, the view is to die for, definitely worth it! The paella is heavenly and perfect for breakfast the next day. 10/10!
I would recommend El Five for the location, vibe, and quality service. However, the food was not that great - especially for the price you pay. I didn't get any cocktails, but they looked excellent.
My birthday!!! Everything was perfect
Thank you to Tim.
Everything was outstanding. Our favorites included the goat cheese croquettas, the Iberico pork loin, and the eggplant fries. All of the cocktails were also excellent.
Took my Mother there for her 80th birthday. Everything we ordered was outstanding except the Turkish Tiramisu, which we felt had a bit too much seasoning and was overpowering. Really great experience.
Wonderful food!! Will return
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. I would always bring my friends here and tell people that it is a must try when you are in Denver. That is until last night. We had exceptionally bad service. I have been in the industry for over a decade, and NEVER complain about having to wait, or quality of food, or even the fact that I am not offered another drink (water, alcohol, etc.). But I simply had to say something last night.
We waited for 45 minutes for are paella, when I finally asked the server about it he clearly realized he forgot to put it in and quickly ran away. We then waited for ANOTHER HOUR for our paella, still no sight of it. Meanwhile we had not been checked in on, offered another drink, or even given water. So I asked for the check (not really hungry after being in the restaurant for over 2 hours and eating only appetizers). The manager came over and apologized for the "miscommunication", an easy way to avoid that a mistake was made considering nothing was actually miscommunicated. Then offered to pay for "some tapas". Great, even though I said don't worry about it, we just want to leave. After finally getting our paella, we received the bill. THEY TOOK $10 OFF A $220 BILL! WHY BOTHER? THAT IS A 4.5% DISCOUNT!
Morale of the story: they must be really hurting if this the most they can do to try and help fix a mistake on their end.
* PS- I was very understanding and even suggested that maybe they were short staffed like most restaurants nowadays. The manager told me that they were fully staffed, so that is no excuse.*
Everything was incredible from the cocktails to the small plates to the dessert.
Food was decent but not worth the price. Asked for a view of the city. For a table of 8 and a 1,000+ dollar tab they should of accommodated me for my birthday. Made the rsvp with that request months in advance
This place was just not for us. The service was not good. The music was really loud and then quiet. Food was ok.
Better paella than I had in Spain—do not miss out! The tapas were generally excellent, but we did not love the dessert as much as the dinner. The tiramisu is very unusual (more like a coffee cake than traditional tiramisu). So maybe skip the dessert and get an extra plate for dinner. But El Five did not disappoint!
Very crowded. Wait staff wore masks but very few customers did. Five of us seated at a table that should’ve been for four people. Meat dishes tasty but vegetarian dishes were meh. $450.00 bill for five of us - 5 cocktails, 3 glasses of wine and 1 beer. Cool view and excellent service from our waiter, Paul, but not good enough for us to go back again.
Took 20 minutes to get someone to ask if we had been greeted(order placed) Burrata was very good but charging for bread? Most 'fine' restaurants provide free... seafood paella was gritty from not cleaning shellfish and shrimp was too salty. The dish listed crab but we could not find any and we ordered scallops to be added but then were told they were out...Then drink was 'missing' an ingredient- mint. Server went back to get the smallest piece she could find... Hardy a good experience
We had dinner on Sunday evening and it was excellent. We shared the vegetarian version of the goat cheese croquettes, spreads of the med, and the harissa eggplant fries. All were delicious. My friend had the Iberico pork loin and enjoyed it. I had the Monkey 47 gin & tonic, which was not only tasty, but like every thing else put on our table had a beautiful presentation. Dessert was also wonderful. We shared the Turkish tiramisu and the dessert special (an exquisitely flavored flan. In addition to the culinary excellence, service was outstanding.
We had an amazing meal. Hands down one of the best meals and views in Denver!
Food was incredible, very good pacing of courses. The lighting was way too dark - we couldn’t tell what we were eating in some cases and it’s pretty loud inside.
Wait staff was very good with my food allergy and confirmed that things were nut free every time they brought a new dish.
McKenna was amazing! Great energy, great menu recommendations, and awesome server!
Food and service were great!
Great spot. I got stood up by my wife and the staff was wonderful
My favorite restaurant in Denver. Better than most restaurants in Los Angeles
