Great place to shop & catch up with friends & family.
Great quality from beginning to end. We were seated right away and presented with menus and water right away. Service was great, appetizers were served promptly, food was made with the freshest of ingredients. Food was hot, beautiful presentation. And extremely delicious. We were celebrating an anniversary. The restaurant presented us with a very delicious small dessert. Yum!!
Wonderful outdoor experience. Waiter was attentive and food was plentiful.
My wife and I split a tuna burger. Amazing. Love this place. Sill be back soon.
There must be a new chef since the pandemic... Everything was totally different.. I really miss the old menu, and the Brussel Sprouts I was looking forward to.. Burnt and only leaves.. I remember them being halves and not burnt..
The meal was really tasty and the food came out in a timely manner. The only reason I reduced the stars is because the hostess said “what do you people need” and my party and I are all people of color so when we are addressed this way and other non-people of color parties are addressed with more respect, it’s upsetting. Then our host was really rude and not respectful compared to the other parties around us. His tone and demeanor was more aggressive with my group than the parties around us which again did not help our experience from when we arrived and checked in. Again the food was good but the experience was not good at all
We had the best time dining at ElDorado the other night. We sat in front party of 4. Our server was great, food was delicious, it was a little cool, but there are plenty of heaters. Cant wait to go back the food is always so yummy!
Excellent food, good service, nice ambiance, and reasonable corkage fee. One of the best restaurants in Sonoma by far!
Great food, nice table arrangement, good service - what more is there to say?
Nice outdoor setting, very convenient for hotel guests, full bar/good bartender, food is very good, but service is slow/inattentive.
Best service on the plaza. Food & drinks were delicious on the beautiful back patio.
The Server was clearly experienced, but there were subtle ways in which he was condescending and chauvinistic towards my wife. We found his service gruff, and off-putting.
Dinner was excellent. I had the Tuna Poke Bowl and my husband had the Braised Short Ribs.
Service very good
It was my birthday and they did not offer a desert menu or anything related. My husband informed them of my day prior to being seated. We heard the waiter telling the table next to us to say it was their birthday when he brought out their dessert. We didn't even get a chance to order desert. My paella was missing a seated ingredient and the seafood was not fresh tasting. We were looking forward to a wonderful experience but it just didn't happen unfortunately
Felt the care of the staff and particularly that of our waiter Fernando—an intelligent good natured fellow whose experience during Covid had not been easy but has not gotten him down
Another great dining experience in the outdoor patio. El Dorado Kitchen is always consistent and the food is excellent.
Food was very good. Very good value for the price.
Great service very good foods love it 😀😍
It was the first time since Christmas that we were able to get together with our sons. All enjoyed our meals. I had the shrimp tacos which I've had before. They were very good. My husband thought his French Toast was the best he's had. Younger son had Huevos Rancheros which he has had before and enjoyed. Older son had the Ahi sandwich and really liked it.
One of my favorite brunch spots in Sonoma. Always impeccable service and really good food.
We live here in Sonoma and EDK is one of our favorite restaurants.
Chilaquiles are the best!
Sitting curbside is the best.
Excellent food and service!!! The drinks are best enjoyed here, beautifully presented, customized and creatively prepared.
Four of us enjoyed a wonderful brunch which included duck confit tacos, chilequilles, shrimp tacos & a chopped salad with shrimp. Everything was delicious. Our server Frank was exceptional. Thank you for a delightful brunch!
Decent food, but the paella is overrated.
The food and service were superb! We would definitely go again without hesitation. We ordered the chopped salad as an appetizer then split our main course which was the filet--cooked a perfect medium-rare. For sides, we had brussel sprouts and truffle fries. We were both stuffed and felt happy and satisfied with our meal.
The only drawback was even though we sat next to a heat lamp, the was a vicious wind on the back patio which made it still cold, despite wearing our puffy coats. Most everyone around us was also commenting on being cold as well, but on the flip side, we were grateful to be able to outside dining again and not locked up in our house. Not a bad tradeoff to experience decadent food.
Would definitely recommend you try this restaurant if you're in Sonoma!
After not eating out for months & months due to the pandemic it is such a special treat to go out to dinner. The El Dorado did not disappoint. Our waiter was wonderful, we had one of the specials and some oysters for appetizers, both were excellent. The one and only complaint I have is that the outdoor seating could use a little more glass to hold in the heat a bit more as it was a tad windy & 58 degrees which made it a bit cold when eating. Fortunately we went early - 5 o'clock - and were finished early.
We have eaten here several times and enjoyed every visit. I like that I can order items I may have not previously tried and be assured I will enjoy the experience. After wine tasting I wanted something different and ordered the Tequila Business cocktail; it had a little kick and was very refreshing as a starter. I followed that with fresh oysters and the selection recommended by our server was spot on. For my entree I chose fried rice with sausage and the complex flavors didn’t disappoint. To make the dish even better, it was cooked in a paella pan, so the rice was at the same time both crispy and soft. I’m certain my next visit to EDK will be just as enjoyable!
sat outside on a cool but sunny day-great food good vibe
Service was spectacular-our waiter was patient, knowledgeable and very good with decanting an old bottle of wine.
Everything we ordered was terrific-
Spring salad, truffle fries, mussels, paella, fried chicken + bread plate. Yum!
Love El Dorado Kitchen. Have been there many times. Everyone always nice however, food still was very good. Have the drinks gotten smaller?!
Amazing service, great food! Would definitely return to this establishment. They observe social distancing measures and take all the necessary precautions.
The service was excellent. When I looking for the hostess in the lobby, I didn't realize that the she was outside as I didn't see her immediately. The gentleman who was to be our waiter asked if I had been helped and when I said no, he proceeded to ensure that we were checked in with the hostess and escorted us to our table. Our server was extremely courteous, personable and professional as were the members bus team. The food is delicious: The mushroom pizza with arugula and the crispy shrimp tacos are superb. The fried chicken was also delicious. The portions are large and we took half of our entrees home. I have reservations for next week again! Love, love, love the shrimp tacos. Also, the corkage is very moderately priced compared to other restaurants in the area.
One of the reasons I go to El Dorado kitchen so often is because have a great meal, they are dependable, friendly and great waitstaff, good Covid protocols and a delicious menu. Love being in the courtyard where it’s quiet, out of the wind anniversary and peaceful place to be to enjoy a meal.
Fernando, our waiter, was fantastic. Food and cocktails were great.
I have had many great experiences at EDK. On Presidents’ Day, we arrived at our exact time and were told to step aside for other people in line behind us. I explained we had resos and limited time, she told us “well you can sit there” and gestured us to the worst table with the highest foot traffic. We seated ourselves and without menus waited another 12 mins for our waitress. We ordered from our phones and she said that wasn’t the right menu. She was great and got us our food quickly and our check when we needed it. And the EDK burger is so good. So is the mushroom pizza. Everyone in Sonoma had a high traffic day on Monday. I am glad to see it and look forward to visiting EDK again on a more mellow day.
fried chicken was burnt--twice
The food was average, we drove from SF expecting something above average given all the reviews. We ordered a salad, potato leek soup and a paella. The potato soup had too much flour and cream which outbalanced the flavor of leeks. The paella was below average, the rice was dry, and it lacked flavor. I could only taste the saffron, the seafood on it felt like it was frozen before it was cooked (not $$$ quality seafood). We ended up not ordering more food and cutting our lunch short.
The patio was extremely cold, windy and the service was slow.
We had to get desert to go and by the end we couldn’t sit outside any more.
Food was good, but wouldn’t recommend in cold weather.
Pre fixed menu for Valentine’s weekend was amazing !
