    Top tier selections from creatively crafted appetizers to designer deserts paring properly with your preferred elixir.. and including all in between. Seafood dishes including fresh shucked oysters were magnificent. It's all about quality, service, and ambiance. Quality - 5-star fabulous! Service - 5-star perfect! Just the right amount of guidance with a nearly a clairvoyant knowledge of our interests, preferences, and desires - Daniel (?) was flawless. Ambiance - 4 star - desirable and attractive digs, art, bar, and open landscape layout. Kitchen activity in view a big plus. Tables a bit too close to each other defeating most of the quiet, proprietary business meeting types requiring privacy and those in search of a romantic setting. Flanked by strangers sitting 3'-4' away and without the good 'ol "Mind your own affairs and leave me alone" earbuds providing an option - the lack of privacy almost encourages consorting with the unknown. A signatory best restaurant in Sonoma. If you're in no hurry and have no budget limitations - the El Dorado Kitchen is an absolute not-to-be-missed/go-to experience whether you live in or merely are visiting Sonoma

    Went there for our anniversary based on a recommendation and it exceeded our expectations. I had the paella which was delicious and my wife had the Filet Mignon cooked perfectly. Finished off dinner with the Apple Huckleberry Crisp! Outstanding food, exceptional service!

    Been a few times, brunches and dinners. Always fantastic dishes - the salmon, the scallops, and the fried chicken sandwich are our favorites. Great drink selection, and superb service every visit. Thank you!

    Ramon was an excellent server and in partnership with Nisha, made our experience on for the books! We will be back and the desire to order something different will be quite challenging as he ordered the short rib and I the duck. Ohhh emmm geee! The butternut squash soup was delightful with marshmallows - who knew? The crab cake was just scrumptious and the truffle fries - there is a right way and a wrong way to make truffle fries. Last night was three Rights and none left! Fortunately sorbet melts and slid in the small corners of room left in our happy stomachs!

    We have visited El Dorado Kitchen for special occasions for many years now. On this visit, the food was as great as ever. The only downside was the service, which was a bit careless. This was probably because they were busy for the Thanksgiving holiday. For example, the busboy insisted on taking away our cutlery after the starter course, but did not replace it. As a result, when our entrees arrived, we were left sitting looking at them, as they went cold, with no means to eat them!

    Our reservation was fairly late on a Saturday night at 8 PM so some of the louder parties that were in the room with us were on their way out thankfully. The food was solidly good but not outstanding the service was very professional and the ambience was pretty just loud.

    As always a great experience. We got there early (4:30 PM) and were quickly seated. Drink options abound. And the menu had changed for the season. We had oysters (delicious), cornbread, duck, petrale sole, Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail. ALL were delicious. Service as wonderful (as we have come to expect). Food was fresh and beautifully prepared.

    This was such a disappointing ending to our amazing time in Sonoma. It was the evening of our 25th ANNIVERSARY!! The waiter was impersonal and aloof, my lamb was way too rare (he didn’t even ask how I wanted it), but at least the salad was good. I’m so sorry we chose this spot, we’ve had such better service at other restaurants in the area.

    Such a wonderful dinner with friends for our first trip to Sonoma. When locals asked us places we ate, they always responded that El Dorado is great choice. My foodie friends were impressed and stated it was their favorite meal of our trip to Sonoma/Napa Valley.

    We had dinner at El Dorado Kitchen for my wife’s 60th birthday. The service was really good and the meal was amazing. Make sure to order the focaccia bread. It is amazing. We were able to be seated in the back room to the left. Which was much more quiet than the rest of the restaurant. Overall a wonderful experience.

    El Dorado kitchen is a great place for lunch or dinner. We had lunch on a Tuesday when many restaurants in Sonoma are closed so it was very very busy. The food was delicious but we had to wait about 20 minutes before a server came to the table. He was very nice but obviously had too many tables to take care of. He forgot the water after asking us if we wanted it. After a reminder it did come to the table. It was very very noisy inside so voices were raised to hear one another. I would heartily recommend their crispy shrimp tacos or their pastas. Delicious!!!!!
