One of my go-to places; wonderful food & great staff👍🏼

Our dinner at El Dorado was fantastic. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed a very relaxed pace dining experience. Even though we ended up to be the only patrons we didn't feel rushed at all. We enjoyed dessert and coffee and it was the perfect experience. It even exceeded our expectations!

The ambience was better indoors, but EDK did a great job of moving their operation to the open air.

Always love this place but recent menu changes not the best

Outstanding restaurant. Our waiter Duff was the best and very knowledgeable about Sonoma. El Dorado is a beautiful restaurant in the historic district of Sonoma. The food is so tasty and eye pleasing. You have to try the Seafood Paella, you will not be disappointed. Restaurant is housed in a beautiful old hotel styled building.

El Dorado Kitchen has a lovely courtyard for dining. We were off the street and in a pleasant, quiet courtyard. The food and service were great.

Thanksgiving dinner - great day and food, service, was amazing. Wind kicked in and made the outdoors cold or else it would have been perfect. However it made for a great memorable family dinner and for a bit, we didn’t think of Covid. Thank you EDK

staff stayed masked and were attentive to cleaning up. server was very nice and the outdoor seating in the little parklet was spaced well

EDK is amazing. The food is creative and delicious. The staff are professional and genuinely excited to describe the food. Great place.

Our server provided great service. Food was excellent. Safety measures made it feel comfortable. They now have a tent in the back so don’t worry about a rainy day.

The El Dorado doesn’t disappoint! Loved the Caesar salad and the seafood paella is amazing! The back patio is beautiful and very well heated. Definitely a great place to dine in Sonoma. We’ll be back!

Eating outdoors on a cold evening is a tough environment, but EDK hit it out of the park just as they do with their indoor dining. Amazing food, friendly service; a shout out to everyone for both and keeping us safe.

Great food and drinks. Service was fantastic! Seating is outside right now - we sat on the back patio- they had ample heaters and nice fencing around to block as much of the wind/ cold as possible so it was comfortable even on a cold fall day. The chipotle bloody mary was amazing! Highly recommend.

The entire staff - from the hostesses to the manager to the server - were professional, warm, and inviting. During covid there is a 90-minute max for tables; when we arrived our table was not ready because the previous customer was overstaying their welcome. We were disappointed and starving. The manager gave complimentary glasses of champagne as an apology. Then when we were being seated 20 minutes after our reservation time, the manager delivered complimentary truffle fries for the table. Both he and the hostess apologized. When the bill arrived, they decided to comp another appetizer and my after-dinner coffee as well: What matters aren’t the mistakes; what matters is how a restaurant fixes them and treats the customers. We have been coming here for years and will continue to do so because of great food but more importantly wonderful service.

Food, ambiance and hospitality were all 10/10! The staff was friendly and efficient and the covid precautions were noticeable but not oppressive. The carbonara if they have it is a must!

Everything was fantastic, prompt seating outdoor in the back, nicely spaced among tables, nice ambience, heat lamps, service, mocktails, food... all great except my risotto was a bit chewy for my preference. However, I did take it home, and it tasted better as a leftover!

Lovely modern ambiance. Covid 19 protocols in place. Made reservations and was seated at said time. Four of us. Celebrating Biden and Kamala.
Champagne miyagi oysters perfect! Buratta uninspired with blah toast. Delicious perfectly cooked and crisped calamari with marinara. And fried lemons too.
Fish and chips small-too small-were average in flavor cooked appropriately but frites were lackluster.
Brussel sprouts with golden raisins and nuts were good flavor but too much oil remained.
Service impeccable. Manager attentive as well. Hostess good but a little flustered as they were inundated with people.
Would go again. For sure.

Great lunch spot out in the back patio, kept warm by plenty of heaters. Food was delicious and the 'breakfast' pizza with prosciutto and eggs was heaven. Large portion so bring your appetite! My partner's burger was apparently cooked to perfection and delicious too. The french fries while crispy on the outside were fluffy on the inside and flavorful. Service was very efficient and friendly. Highly recommended!

Always a pleasure to visit El Dorado kitchen! They're doing a great job adapting to COVID safety measures. The food is wonderful - both in taste and presentation - and the space is lovely.

Since I live in Sonoma, this is one of my "go-to" spots when guests come to town. The California Cuisine is delicious and the presentation is eye-catching. Whether a simple brunch or lunch, or a special occasion dinner, this is the place to go. Smart and sophisticated without being stuffy, standoffish. On a beautiful afternoon, the patio is the place to be. The main dining room is both intimate and large & accommodating depending on where you dine. The bar in the main dining room is also a dining option and quite enjoyable. The staff is friendly and will offer honest suggestions to suit your taste. Martinis and Bloody Marys from the bar are the best! Always a good time here. Plan to enjoy your dining experience and don't rush through the pampering and attention to detail.

El Dorado Kitchen is one of our favorite Sonoma restaurants. The food is always excellent and a great value for the quality and quantity. We've had many of the menu items, the EDK burger, chicken enchiladas, short rib tacos, crab cakes, truffle fries, all fabulous! The cocktails are great too. Their outside patio seating, socially distanced, is delightful. Highly recommend!!

Food was excellent. We liked the carbonara-like pasta dish the best.
