Enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner.
I have had brunch here for 30 yrs,unsurpassed!; a tradition,food wonderful,service great....
Great seat by the fireplace
Great meal, one our favorite date nights in yen years. Good was outstanding, service even better.
We arrived for a birthday celebration about 5 minutes early. The hostess told us she was checking us in but that our table was not available yet. She told us we could wait in the bar area. We went into the bar and waited and waited and waited. Finally we inquired and the hostess was very rude. She acted as though we had not checked in. I received a phone message wondering if we had decided not to come because we were over 15 minutes late! The hostess never apologized and acted as though we had never checked in.
The food and ambiance st this restaurant are wonderful. Our waiter was wonderful. The manager did come over to apologize and offered to Comp appetizers. However, a restaurant of this caliber should not tolerate a hostess this incompetent and one who will not admit her mistakes.
Good food and ambience, but felt that we were being hurried out so the table could be used for a second sitting. Very disappointed that espresso coffees are not ever available, undermining the experience and quality of the restaurant.
Celebrating end of medical school term with our son.
Everything was great. Thanks for a wonderful dinner.
What a charming setting!!! ...the food was equally yummy.
Pre set menu for Valentine’s Day, which was not worth the money we paid. Steak was dry and well done, they ran out of the dessert I’ve ordered. Left disappointed, will not be back in the near future.
The meal was almost as delicious as my date ;)
There for Valentine’s day, since it was raining, we were in a banquet hall, food was luke warm, dessert was horrible, and our service was rushed
After having a fabulous 25th anniversary dinner at El Chorro last year, I made a reservation about 5 weeks in advance (outside seating preference) for Valentine's Day because my sister and brother-in-law were visiting from New York City. Unfortunately, due to rain, we were seated in their Event Room, which wasn't too exciting. The menu was severely limited (3 entree choices), overpriced ($150 per couple including a mandatory 20% gratuity for a party of 4), and the service was unremarkable. Our server informed us that the filet mignon could only be ordered well-done or medium rare so we could not order the steak to our own individual taste, and when we asked for cracked pepper on our salads (which she didn't offer), she made some comment that she had to go to the dining room to get it. We were offered an option to cancel or change to another day with 1/2 price wine, but this was the only day we could go because my sister was leaving the next day. This was truly a disappointment for all of us, especially after an hour ride to get there from the west valley.
Good food good service - as usual. Most enjoyable.
