We come here for special occasions and it’s always delightful. From the warm sticky buns, to the endless wine choices. Any dish you pick off the menu is delicious, and snag a slice of the cheesecake while you’re at it.

We had a lovely table by the fireplace on the patio. My noise rating was based on outdoor seating which I suspect is quieter than indoors. The food was beyond standard brunch offerings. We had tamales, daily omelet (Denver), yogurt platter and a standard eggs, toast, bacon breakfast. The tamales were delicious served with a great scramble with veggies and sausage. The more basic breakfasts were very well prepared. The yogurt platter had a massive and high quality selection of fruit, coconut topped tasty bread pudding slice and great house made granola. We also enjoyed boozy smoothies!

Food was terrific, cooked to our specs. Overall a great value with the exception being the price of wine. We curate fine wines at home pairing them with food that's why most of us collect. Why not allow patrons of 4 or more to bring one bottle from home for say a $10.00 corkage fee with the second bottle purchased from the restaurants wine list. Everybody goes home happy. It's a value add in most California fine dining restaurants and would to my mind be a business enhancement here.

We had amazing dinner!! Our server was amazing! The whole night was amazing! I wish I could remember her name so I could tell everyone to ask for her. I asked for my steak medium plus and it was still a little undercooked for my liking. She told me from the beginning, “let’s go a little lighter and we can always cook it more” I NEVER send food back but I asked her if they could put it back on the grill and she said “no problem!” When she came back with my steak (which was perfection) they brought all new sides as well!! It was incredible!! The service and food is out of this world and I highly recommend it!!

Celebrated my birthday here with husband and dear friends tonight. The outdoors ambience is spectacular with grand Mountain View’s and gorgeous sunset. The fireplaces are beautiful and the history of El Chorro is very interesting, shared by our server, Phillip, who was so charming and attentive and friendly. The shrimp pot appetizers and flash fried lobster bites are a MUST when you dine here as they are so unique to this restaurant and scrumptious to share. The Chilean Sea Bass was succulent, topped with colorful roasted veggies, couscous and tomatoes with pesto-perfect! The beef ribs were cooked to perfection with beautiful accompaniments as well. The Mac and cheese side is creamy, very rich with a lovely white sauce and it’s a great share too. This is our favorite restaurant and we treat ourselves and friends here as often as possible to share the experience. We will return soon!

Ty, our server, was outstanding! The New York strip, New in the menu, with horseradish mash potatoes was great! Also had some of the chicken, delicious. Took our Aunt and Uncle from Philly there, they loved the sticky buns.

We had a reservation with open Table. We were 10 minutes early. Does this mean you can’t get seated until your reservation time? But we had to wait while 5 other groups were seated before us. It was embarrassing to stand around waiting. The Hostess service was not acceptable. Seat people as they come in. That is fair and polite! El Chorro is a high class of restaurant. Therefore people sh be treated as such! The waiters are all very experienced so I don’t think they would mind having a few tables seated close together. If that is the reason.

Tye was our waiter. He was excellent. It was our anniversary and he made it special in every way. His attentiveness was just the right amount. We were seated by the fire. Everything was perfect and made for a memorable evening.
