   1st Time Experience here and must say every bite was unique & tasty. I was having. Trouble deciding on ordering on my own & getting a whole fish or Trusting The Chef and doing the El Carlos Experience. We decided to leave it in chef hands and well worth it. My main entree ended up being a carne Asada with fresh tortillas and He made me a 2lb Brazino with a rice and sauce on the bottom that had Shrimp, Scallops & octopus in it. Very delicious and overall a great experience. #KitchenMafia

   Everything was absolutely amazing! Every dish we got was our favorite. I don’t go out to eat on a regular basis but this restaurant is worth the time and money. I haven’t had high-end mexican food this good before and I’ve lived in Texas my whole life.

   If you haven't checked out El Carlos Elegante restaurant at 1400 N. Riverfront, then run, don't walk. No wonder it got a Michelin recommendation. However, after dining there I would have to disagree and rate it a Michelin Star restaurant! Elegent interior, on point service from Chris our waiter and the food was so flavorful and uniquely prepared and presented. Food came out quickly and not an extended wait. Absolutely delicious, from the one bites, too the ceviche, crab claws, chorizo moletes and finally the steak. Each dish had its own sauce which was on the Spicer side but they paired it with something cool / refreshing. Desert, out of this world yummy! 11/10 rating!!

   I don’t think I’ve ever had such a thoughtful dining experience before. A few days ago, my husband and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary at El Carlos Elegante, a recommendation from a friend—and it far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, Chris took incredible care of us. He went above and beyond, describing the dishes in detail, sharing the chef’s inspirations behind certain creations, and offering thoughtful recommendations based on our tastes. The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were perfectly crafted, and to our surprise, we were treated to complimentary glasses of champagne. What truly moved us was the personalized anniversary card, signed by so many members of the staff. It was such a beautiful, unexpected gesture that nearly brought me to tears. My husband—who’s not usually the sentimental type—was clearly touched as well. We had simply hoped for a good meal in a beautiful setting, but we left with so much more. This experience embodied everything we seek when celebrating life’s milestones. Thank you, Team Elegante, for making our evening so special—you didn’t have to, but you did. And one last note: the ambiance is absolute perfection. Dimly lit, romantic, and with a low noise level during our visit from 6:30 to 8 p.m.—just lovely. Thank you again!

    The food was absolutely awesome! It wasn’t your typical Mexican slop. Can’t wait to return. And our waitress was so friendly and informative of the dishes. She helped make the dining experience just that much better.
