We have stayed in Noosa for 3 weeks and been to El Capitano 3 times. Each time we have had the Calamaris, the rocket salad and shared the double smoked ham pizza with a few extras. We find the food and service very good.

Very nice place, good interior ambiance, nice music, a bit loud for some. Food was great, had an issue with my order, they were very helpful.

The door staff were snobby, and make it seem like this is some exclusive top-end restaurant when it's really just an overpriced corner pizza shop. Order the prawn pasta - bland. I am not kidding, the surf club across the road does better prawn pasta, for less cost. Also had the cape grim beef brisket pizza - beef was dry and tough. Family ordered a ham and pineapple pizza - was quite literally just a few slices of woolies ham, nothing to justify the price. The wait staff (not the door staff) were friendly and attentive. Overall, just another average eatery in Noosa taking advantage of a captive crowd and jacking up prices for rubbish quality food. I'm not being facetious when I say - skip this place, and get food at the surf club or somewhere else - El Capitano is crap.

Great vibe but the round table with the soft chairs is only big enough for 4 people We had a squeeze in 6 , not ideal

El Capitano is still a good restaurant but not what it was. The ambience and decor is not there. The pizza arrived barely warm. The wait staff were overstretched and chaotic.

Food was very nice but our waiter was arrogant and dismissive of us (being in our 50s, maybe we didn’t fit the demographic they’re aiming at). Also, we were asked to keep our cutlery from entree to use for our mains - not quite what we expected as everything else (including prices) implied they were trying to be better than that.

Enjoyed our food very much, Jess was very attentive, friendly and courteous. We were seated reasonably fast given there was a queue when we arrived, drinks were offered in timely fashion and we were able to peruse the menu without being rushed. Food arrived and was fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back with friends soon. Thank you for a lovely evening. Debs C
