El Camino Mexican Soul Food - Mezcal & Tequila Bar - Fort Lauderdale
We are committed to offering the freshest organic and local ingredients where possible, and we value local, artisan, indigenous and reclaimed offerings. We are even taking the not so typical step of making our own tortillas, sauces, and anything else possible from scratch. The list of craft cocktails is truly Mexican and includes house made sangritas, a curated selection of agave spirits, a diverse selection of craft and Mexican beers. In the end, it is all about sharing the food with the community of people who enjoy it. Viva México!
We made a last minute open table reservation and were seated right away. Very friendly and the food was excellent
Good guacamole (VERY small portion), great chips, nice margaritas, tasty burrito bowl and I will go back but perhaps when it is not so loud...there is too few sound barriers.
Love el camino, especially Tuesday for 2$ taco Tuesday! You just gotta make sure you have reservations if not your waiting over an hour.
Great food and service. Enjoyed the appetizers, especially the grilled octopus and ceviche.
Excellent food and service. Incredibly high noise level.
Seriously will TOTALLY be back!!! Obsessed with this place!
Food was average. Our server was not overly friendly or attentive. Didn’t enjoy her demeanor. But, the energy of the restaurant was enjoyable and energetic.
Great atmosphere, drinks, just thought the food was ok.
Food is just ok. Expensive for the quality. Great atmosphere.
This was my third time going to El Camino. Always a great time! The food is delicious and consistent. The margaritas are also wonderful. 100% recommend!
Fined at El Camino on our trip to Fort Lauderdale. Very authentic Mexican food. House made items were delicious. Great variety and good vegetarian options. Fun atmosphere. Highly recommend El Camino
Great smoked old fashioned
Service staff were awesome. Food was great. We ate a combo of items from Happy hour menu and main menu. All very good. Loved the Concord Margaritas.
Great service and food
Very young and hip vibe, extremely noisy to the point where our waitperson could hear the different between mole and bowl when taking the order.
The food was generally good, but not great. This is more of a place to go to scream at the top of your lungs/voice to be heard with dinner companions.
Maria the Server was SUPER! Guacamole was EXCELLENT! But then it was a relatively quiet Thursday on Las Olas for reserved table Happy Hour....great prices/ tasty food and still upbeat , lively and yes.....noisy! Definitely will go again under similar circumstances!! Try the grape margaritas!!
Waited a half hour after the reservation time to be sat. Ordered food and waited 45 minutes for it only for it to come back ICE cold and they forgot to put in some of the order. Called to talk to a manager and was told I’d be called back and still have not been called back.
Excellent service and food.
The food is always delicious! The margaritas were amazing as well! Our server was super attentive. We go about once a month and will continue to do so!
just the nachos with brisket was a mountain too big for 2 people. the sangria was tasty too.
Food was amazing. Service was very good.
Margaritas small and not strong
I’m not giving 5 starts because we had to wait more than 20 mins to be seated even though we made reservations. Food and drinks were delicious and good portions. Great place to get together with friends and located in the middle of Las Olas. Music is not too loud so you can have a conversation with your party. A lot of parking around so you don’t need to valet like many other restaurants in the area. I would definitely come back on my next trip to Fort Lauderdale.
Maybe if you don't want to hear what anyone is saying at your table, you should eat here. The guacamole was good, the waiter was very nice but overwhelmed by too many tables. I guess expectations are low in Fort Lauderdale and repeat customers are not a goal.
All was good. The only frustrating part of our evening was the wait between our appetizers and the main course. it took an hour for our plates to arrive. Food is great, atmosphere is great and the last time we came ,the food was on time. Could have been a mess up on the orders but an hour between plates made everyone a tad upset.
Horrible service. Food was average
Exceptionally loud obnoxious place. Hostesses have attitude. Doesn't matter how good the food is, if you get a headache from the noise level. Never again.
Terrible experience. We went for NYE and the music was so loud that I couldn't here my date talking across the table. I asked the staff to lower it a bit to no avail. It was not good music either, just background music that was obnoxiously loud. The food was meh to me but made my dates stomach crawl.
Restaurant music was entirely too loud for 8pm. Understand it was NYE but we could barely hear without shouting. Was not appropriate or safe volume for the kids with us either.
Great food and service, fun atmosphere and very good value!
Wonderful staff and really tasty, quite authentic Mexican food. The noise level, especially during happy hour was close to unbearable. The margaritas were delicious.
Love the vibe in this place...great location...food is good. Brianna gave us great service.
Great service. The smoked brisket enchilada tasty but dry. Same for the chicken enchiladas. Went on a Saturday early evening and the restaurant was very busy. Fun place but the food is only average.
Stephanie was great.
Good food and service
This restaurant has a really cool atmosphere and vibe. The food was good, drinks were good. I took my family of 5 there and we’d definitely go back!
The waiter was so rude to us. We were vegan and he rolled his eyes and was annoyed. The order was wrong twice and he was so rude about it after an hour of waiting. Did nothing to apologize
We live in the area and eat on Las Olas regularly. We’ve been to El Camino a few times. The food is always quite good. The margaritas amazing and the service good. This dining experience was great except for the fact that the kitchen served my partner a shrimp taco which he did not order. My partner has a severe shellfish allergy and fortunately we caught the oopsie before he ate it. The manager was very apologetic about the situation. These things can happen, just a little disconcerting. That said, we’ll be back to eat there again. The food is good and mistakes happen.
Guacamole was way to salty
The Kale salad was way to salty
Fabulous service; delicious octopus, beans, malbec. Steak not tender enough. Rice overly salted. Extremely noisy. Better Mexican elsewhere in Broward.
