   Hat uns leider nicht so zugesagt . Der Service war ok, das Essen war uns an diesem Tag zu fettig. Evt hatte die falsche Zeit zum Essen erwischt, da wir die Einzigen im Lokal waren .

   One of the few places available to book on OpenTable in Barcelona. We had a good time, the food was great and the sangria is extremely delicious!

   Nice small restaurant around the corner from our hotel. Pinxtos and small plates and some grilled meats. Lovely dessert options made in house. We always chat up the staff, if they have time, and learn a lot about what we are eating. Would return if in Barcelona.

   Booked this for my birthday meal. For a Saturday night the place was empty. There didn't appear to be any specific starters on the menu other than tapas dishes so just ordered the main which was steak. I asked for it to be cooked medium with fries (which was one of the sides options). It came with rice and rare but I just couldn't be bothered sending it back as my partner already had her meal and I'd end up eating alone. The rice was actually OK but the steak wasn't great quality so even though I'd have eaten it rare the fat and gristle made it mostly uneatable and the plate was cold so as was the steak within a couple of minutes

   Dinner was disappointing after having read such nice reviews. Other tapas restaurants stagger bringing out the dishes, sending out one or two at a time. Here, my wife and I ordered seven items and they were all placed on out table within five minutes. No one ever asked how we were doing or if we needed anything, and even though the restaurant was half empty, we could barely hear each other from the noise.

   Maybe they just had a bad night. We arrived and were seated outside. Got a menu without much enthusiasm and then . . . just sat. Can't rate the food as I am afraid nobody came out to check on us and we moved on.

   The tapas were fantastic, good wine selection, and nice ambiance. My husband and I enjoyed the evening. The wait staff was friendly and attentive.

    El Camino Barcelona was the best surprise of our trip to Barcelona. It had good reviews, but few of them, so we were hesitant. And it was uncrowded both nights we went. But the food was consistently fabulous, the service attentive and delightful (with some great conversations that we instigated), and the atmosphere a nice balance of traditional and contemporary. Over two trips we had many of the appetizers, a couple of salads, two whole fish grilled, and two steaks. Everything was a s food or better than we got at other, more widely known and recognized, Barcelona restaurants.
