Have never had a bad meal. Always delicious!
Good food in a nice place but the EXTREMELY loud volume of the music inside was so annoying that it took away from the entire experience. We might have enjoyed it more had we been able to sit outside like we had planned but there were no outside tables available. The food was very good but I can't see us returning there unless we could sit outside.
The service was amazing the food was mediocre the drinks were good… What I mean by the food being mediocre it didn’t come out hot, it seems like it was sitting for a while, came out pretty cool the portions were ok small for a Mexican restaurant
Fabulous food and drinks.
El Bolero is the best!! Best tacos and margs in town and amazing service!
This was the best food we have ever had at Bolero. The staff did a great job of distancing the tables and maintaining safety standards.
Amazing as always!
My friends and I sat outside as it was a nice Spring evening. Our sever was attentive, made recommendations and was very polite.
Delicious food. I had carne asada street tacos. Meat was tender and flavorful. Love the green salsa. House margaritas are great!
Lobster fajitas were very good. My customers liked it. Reasonably Close to Love Field if you have a lunch meeting.
Love that in a city filled with Tex mex that only employ order takers, bolero has successfully employed servers that offer great customer service.
Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. The service could use some improvement on speed, but overall a great place. I will return.
Really great lobster tacos!
Food was delicious. I had carne asade tacos. Others had chicken enchiladas with verde sauce. All very good. House margaritas also very good. Server was attentive. Only negative was it is pretty loud.
Drinks were awful service was mediocre our waitress tried hard but overall wasn’t that good food was not worth the price sound was so high staff were a mess Had a bad experience before i gave it a second chance but it failed miserably sorry not coming back
Solid food and drinks, great service from Andrew even though they were clearly understaffed.
Appears to have sweet spots on the menu that are a better value than the rest- look for those.
We were in town for a convention and found El Bolero on our Open Table app. When we arrived, our table wasn't quite ready so we grabbed a few cocktails at the bar. Such a friendly, helpful bartender. The margaritas were amazing. We had a few friends try the black margaritas -- they loved them -- especially the gold flakes and gold colored sugar stick. Once seated, our meals arrived quickly. Everything tasted amazing. The verde enchiladas were out of this world. We will be back next time we're in Dallas.
The atmosphere is nice. A little hard to see as it faces Irving Blvd not Oak lawn and the sign wasn’t lit. The description on Open Table says it has Mexican and Tex-Mex, but it is definitely more like traditional Mexican. So if you’re looking for spice and bold flavor, this may not be your thing. Abuelita cake was delish. Service was a little slow but ok.
First timers, and why did we wait so long? We had white queso as an appetizer—-very fresh, with home made tortilla chips. We shared a pitcher of house margarita—-sooo good. Home made, not that neon green pre-mix. Great value at $35 (we probably had at least eight glasses). A single margarita is $8. Easy math. For dinner—the skirt steak is so flavorful. I had it in a salad—fresh bib lettuce, fantastic viniagrette, pepinos...very good. My other half had the skirt steak blue corn tacos—-another big hit. I’m not sure what they marinate the meat in but I hope they never change recipes. And the prices overall are very reasonable for the quality of food that you get.
Food & service were both very good. I would definitely recommend it.
Made a reservation weeks in advance. Arrived with group had to wait for tables to be arranged. Asked for wait staff to order apps and drinks for table gad to wait another 15 min.
Maybe it was just a bad understaffed night but would not recommend for a group of 10.
Food was fair to good.
Tortilla chips are best ever. Table salsas very good.
Tacos sucked for the price.. next time I’ll dine at ceasers taco
Queso fundido! So good! Best margaritas in Dallas!
We loved everything about this place! The service and food were both outstanding! Unbelievable margaritas (try their signature Oilman margarita!) and best fish tacos I’ve had in a long time!
The food was great and so was the services. We will be back again.
Delicious food, fantastic service, and great taco specials!
I would definitely recommend El Bolero. The only negative was that the night we went, they were very busy and we had to wait 20 minutes for our reservation. GREAT STAFF though.
Went with a group and all the food was great and service was as well
There was a large group and a table full of people celebrating, thus the noise level was very high. The soups lacked good flavor but maybe it was an off night.
A large party had half the restaurant so I think the service and food were a bit off.
The appetizers were great! The dinners, however, were high priced and steaks were overdone. If we had not been entertaining a guest, we would have sent them back. We had to ask for tortillas for our fajitas. They came way later than the meal and only one person received tortillas while two people had fajitas. It was so noisy, we couldn't hear the waiter. We would not go again.
delicious food and loved the complimentary birthday cake!
First time here. We're vegetarians and there were a few options. Started with margaritas and Queso Blanco. Wish there was more queso in the bowl--it was delicious. Margaritas were delicious as well.
Husband had the Chili Relleno. He enjoyed it. I thought the chili needed more cooking--was too al dente for me. I had the Vegetarian Tacos. Grilled nopales, huitlacoche, roasted corn, pickled onions, guacamole and queso fresco. Served with arroz de cilantro. They were scrumptious. Ended our anniversary meal with the best churros. We will return--especially on Mondays for cheap Margaritas!
This is just phenomenal Mexican food. It's not like so many average places. Get the bacon guac- you won't regret it. The chips and salsa even are great. The decor built around the Bolero concept is interesting. And we had a very helpful and attentive server. I've visited this restaurant 2x a year for years and I am happy every time.
Great vibe. Ceviche. Shrimp cocktail. Pozole all spectacular
Good food, decent service, a little on the pricy side for food value, but VERY noisy not a place for a quiet romantic or small group get together.
Good food, good atmosphere. Barbacoa tacos were off the hook.
The Friday "lobster" fajitas special was actually 2 langostino tails. Tortillas were average, at best. Service good, the ambiance is quite nice.
Enjoy dining where all the staff help each other out
My office went for lunch and everyone LOVED it!! The food was fresh, hot and well seasoned. I had the lobster taco's and they were amazing. Everyone else had fajitas and the meat was tender. Service was also great. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!!
