Very poor service. Team didn't seem to know what was on the menu, out of certain beverages and items. Asked for a salad and a dip as a starter then ordered our main meal. Everything came all at once.
You don't get pretty flowers in your drinks as shown on Instagram...
My friend and I waited over 20 minutes before we were finally greeted. After the server took out orders we then waited another 15 minutes for our drinks. I had to ask him if our drinks where still coming before he went and had the bartender make it. It was a very dead night in there with no more than 15 people in the restaurant. I was very disappointed with the service. The food was great though!
It wasn't even open and no one called or notified us!
Cute atmosphere but food is just so so. The pizza crust is likely premade and the mussels weren't very fresh. I think this place is probably better as a bar rather than a restaurant.
Went there for Valentine's day and had terrible service. Was brought the wrong appetizers then told I was in fact wrong when I requested the right one be brought. Was served one drink in two hours until I made a remark to the server. Was never asked either for our food order until I complained two hours later
Food was average and reasonably priced. Small dining area but an excellent atmosphere. Recommend for dates and drinks
We loved the food and atmosphere, however the song choices were a little odd. Gangster rap with some very explicit lyrics on valentine's day? Otherwise could have been very romantic...
The food isn't great and the service is sparse. More of a drink spot
Our reservation for 9 turned out to be an overbooked place with people standing shoulder to shoulder with no place or table as the restaurant overbooked a party of 25+ people, we were kept standing at the bar for 10-15 mins and no sigh of a table, 9
Pm is my hungriest unfortunately and we had to walk out. Did not expect such a disaster. Very unprofessional.
Too loud - speakers are too close to tables
I really enjoyed the atmosphere at eighteen30 but I have to say the music was overbearing and load so early in the evening. Being New Years eve I understand the music, but not during dinner service. Additionally, when we were there (party of 2) there were only 6-8 diners in the place and it took an exceptionally long time to receive our food, especially since the food was prix fixe and looked like it was low cost, easy to prepare or even pre-made food.
The food itself was hit or miss. The mushroom soup was delicious but the trout salad left a lot to be desired and the presentation looked like it was to be served in a diner. The vegetarian fallafel dish had an amazing flavour and was filling and satisfying. The roasted chicken dish was disappointing in flavour and the chicken that was served had barely any meat on the bone. The bed of pasta was mediocre in flavour. The desserts were interesting, basically my dessert appeared to be two pre-made lemon tarts bought at the grocery store with a bit of jam/coulee and some icing sugar. However, the menu presented the dessert as some amazing gourmet treat. In my opinion, the menu description was better that the dessert itself. There was a chocolate mouse type dessert on the menu that tasted good but also looked like it was not made in house but rather purchased from a commercial food service provider.
I was hoping for the typical restaurant menu but we were surprised and disappointed with the prix fixed menu. This was not communicated at the time of making reservations.
Horrible service. Booked a large party and it took hours before we were seated and then another hour before we were served our food. Some people didn’t even get their food and ended up having to leave to order food elsewhere.
It was closed and locked.
Slow service. Awesome live DJ music but too loud. Space is small and crowded. Tables are way too small and do not hold enough plates. Food was really good. One of the pasta dishes we got was huge — great for sharing. Venue is definitely Instagram photo shoot worthy.
Amazing venue and such a hidden gem in the heart of Toronto. Beautiful inside and outside, service from staff was exceptional especially Trsitan!! All staff went above and beyond to make my birthday extra special. Much Thanks!!
Was hesitant to order snacks because of the previous reviews but our order came out quickly and food was great! On top of the delicious drinks and cute decor, service was excellent. Overall a great night!
Went for my boyfriends birthday, everything was awful. The food, service, drinks took over an hour. I have lived in Toronto for 4 years and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I deeply regret picking this place as a place to host 16 of my partners friends. Would not recommend at all.
Service was slow and the food was mediocre. Fun vibe but wouldn't go again.
We had such a great time at eighteen30. The food and drinks were amazing. Our server Tristan was the best- super attentive and added to the amazing atmosphere!
A small, quiet restaurant, with excellent food, low-key service, and very cute decor. My out-of-town guest really enjoyed the food and loved the ambiance of the place. Would definitely recommend.
The atmosphere and the server were great. We ordered beers but it was warm, also our oysters were warm and weren't served on ice. Our food took way too long. Its a really cool place to just chill but not to eat or get a nice cold beverage.
This place needs a lot of work.
Service was incredibly slow. We had to ask for cutlery 3x after our food arrived and there were only 2 other guests on the patio with us. Would not go back.
Service was super slow and not attentive. The food came cold with both the appetizer and main coming. And with the small tables the table was cramped. Perhaps having one server all night isn’t a good idea. I’m sad, that’s the case as I wanted to like this place.
I wouldn't recommend this place for food. it wasn't good at all.
Although would recommend for drinks and more casual time.
The server was very friendly and attentive, but got most of our order wrong.
We had a fantastic experience for our Mothers Day Brunch! The ambience was cozy and cool with funky photo ops. There was live music which created a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and great value. I recommend this spot and will definitely be back!
This is a great little place with unique ambience; there's bar and bar-adjacent seating on stools in the front, then it opens up into garden-like table seating at the back. The service was very friendly and prompt. We had the gnocchi and the seafood linguini, both of which were tasty and well-sized portions. The music level was a bit too high when we came in at 6pm, but was manageable away from the speakers. Not wheelchair-accessible.
The food is tasty but small portion sizes for your money, drinks were delish and I even tried something the bartender had suggested. The downfall is the service seemed confused when we first got there and I kept having to flag someone down anytime I needed to order, i prefer when wait staff checks in on you.
Our table was in the corner at the front, with a barstool wedged in between us, which meant the waitress kept leaning on me and reaching over our food. It was a very strange layout.
My friend ordered the tequila cocktail, which tasted like a glass of tequila, as well as the octopus as a main. We couldn’t cut through the octopus. I ordered the rabbit pappardelle, which tasted good but was full of BONES. So many pieces of cartilage and bones - it was really unappealing, not to mention I could have choked. I’ve never had bones in a pasta dish before... they should probably give customers a heads up (if it’s even supposed to be served like that in the first place?)
Anyway, won’t be back.
Everyone was very nice but the food took a really long time despite the restaurant being almost empty.
Such a great time here for a birthday dinner. Incredible food, presentation and atmosphere! Will definitely be back!
I was able to make a reservation for brunch today (11:45) only to get there and be told that the restaurant doesn’t open until 5pm.
The night started off great as I had a large group of 18, and the manager did amazing to accommodate our reservation to a private area of the restaurant. Drinks and cocktails were great, but once we ordered food everything went down hill. Our server was great and very hospitable, but the kitchen was terribly slow to get the food out. All the appetizers came out separate. The food was mediocre and small portions (although the bang bang chicken is a tasty snack). We ordered mains and it took nearly 2.5 hours for the meals. About 5/18 of the party received their main dish, all while a table beside our group was receiving several dishes even though they showed up about an hour after our group. The main course was taking so long several members of the group had to cancel their orders. Most people didn’t get their dishes and others received them as we were fed up and leaving. Not once did the manager who had initially sat out group, check on our group, food quality or apologize for the absurdly long wait for a couple of pastas, salads and burgers. At one point I went to find the manager myself and I saw him arguing with our server over refusing to remove an item off a bill for an item not even received. It became laughably clear this restaurant is not up to par. The restaurant is fairly new but won’t last very long if this level of service continues.
A cute cozy spot tucked away in a quiet spot just steps from King/Spadina. Extremely comfortable seating with romantic lighting make this a place Id love to sit and have have drinks. The Lala margaritas were amazing, I’d go back just for them! We had the brussel sprouts, rabbit papparadele, and the chicken supreme and they were all bursting with flavour, would definitely have them again.
