The food is delicious, and though a little bit on the pricier side, worth every penny. Service was great. I recommend this restaurant to a lot of people.
Best dam cheese plater in utah !
Fantastic! This is a 3rd visit this month for us. Definitely will return. Service and meals are impeccable!!
Brussels = incredibly good
Some of the best extra-crispy fries at lunch that I've had.
Maybe it was an off night. It took 25 minutes to get our first drinks and sit down to paying the check was almost 2 hours.
We weren't in a hurry but the service was frustrating.
Food was very good and the place is really nice.
Great views and atmosphere. Food was good but took a long time to arrive along with drinks. Service could be better maybe that will come with time.
We sat on the patio on a beautiful Sunday evening. The views were incredible
We shared a charcuterie plate, that was a little too heavy on blue cheese for me, but had a diverse assortment of items.
I got the pear ricotta salad with chicken for my entree. Yum!
Food was excellent!!
Amazing and beautiful space. I think they’re still trying to work the kinks out but overall it was a great night! Our server was very good but didn’t check on us as much as I would have liked. We could hear some of the staff being disagreeable with each other and we had to ask for several things from our server like utensils, water, and a side of fries that had been ordered. Other than that, it has amazing potential and I hope they do really well. It’s a beautiful building and setting!! Also, the cocktails were delicious!
Service was terrible they were not busy and seemed to have plenty of staff.
Waited 10 minutes to be seated, waited ages to order waited a long time for drinks.
Calamari was cold when it arrived waitress brought half a teacup of hot water for the tea we had to go to the bar for more hot water and ask twice.
Entrees were brought to the table before we’d finished appetizers but then they never cleared the first dishes.
What a pity this place is badly run!!
It has a great setting and a good menu.
Great birthday dinner. Fabulous ambience.
Great food and great service!
Took my parents to Eight Settlers for my dads birthday. We sat in one of the jailhouse rooms so noise was minimal.
The food and service was outstanding. My dad, who just turned 74, said it was one of the best dinners and experience he has had.
We ordered the Brussel sprouts, steak frites, short rib, broccoli, Mac and cheese, and carrot cake . Every dish was outstanding.
I would definitely have dinner here again.
Excellent service and food. Perhaps consider a locals discount on weeknights? The pricing is a bit steep for families.
The pork chop was amazing, my wife got the pear salad, also incredible. We also tried their new Gin, and the cocktails were superb! Highly recommended.
I brought my three small kids along with us and the waitress ordered their food first and had it out quickly. The rest of the food was also brought out fast and it was all delicious. The ambience is fun and the facilities are sparking clean. It is pricey but we really enjoyed ourselves.
Brunch was amazing. My third time here and I’m telling everyone I know that this is the place.
Great new place is a must try!! Both lunch and brunch are awesome and I'm excited to go back for dinner.
We had a reservation, but they were under staffed. It took us an hour to order and another 1/2 hour wait for the food to arrive. Really cool building. Food was decent. They need more staff or they need to not accept so many reservations. Probably won’t go back for brunch again.
Food is pretty good, the service was meh. We ordered Cool Ranch Elote which came with bottom-of-the-bag chips 🙃. When we requested a side of lemon, two slices were brought out on a napkin in palm (guess they were out of plates?) and when I ordered a ginger beer, I was told “we are running low and saving it for actual Moscow Mules” and served a Coke instead.
Bartender Karen was excellent!!
Great service. Enjoyed the food. No problem parking.
Fun mix of hipster and 1800s themed decor. Delicious food. We got the Short Rib Grilled Cheese, the Ricotta Pear Salad, and the Calamari app. I tried their house Bourbon on the rocks, also tasty. Prices for food seem a bit high, but might just be par for the course these days.
I booked this for my husband’s birthday. The location is great and the views fantastic but the services was poor and the food ok, which added up to a rather disappointing experience. Shame.
Smaller menu yet food cooked perfectly and well plated. Service was very attentive and not annoying.
Our waiter, Adam, was enthusiastic and helpful without being "too present." Food was quite good and a great value-burger was excellent, bbq chicken pizza was sublime, calamari was perfect. Good selection of drinks and the ambiance is REALLY nice. Management is uber professional. We will be regulars here!
I would like to see the menu expanded--more appetizers and sandwiches. The specialty drinks were great!!
This was my first time going to Eight Settlers, and it did not disappoint. The inside is beautiful—super fun atmosphere! The food was delicious, as were the house cocktails. Keith, our server, was friendly and helpful and had great recommendations. I can’t wait to go back!
Service was awful - food took over a half hour to get our food. Place was empty with a very limited menu with small portions.
Fun and great food.
I specifically chose this restaurant because they allowed reservations for outdoor dining, which I felt more comfortable about going out for the very first time in over a year. But when we arrived they weren't offering it. When I told them I was there specifically because of that option, the hostess brushed me off and had a very "that's a you problem" attitude and wasn't understanding about why that was important.
The next best option was to eat in a jail cell where we could be a little more distant from the other guests. That was a little cheesy but cute.
Other than that the food was fine (lukewarm by the time it got to me) and the cocktail I got was delicious. I would give it another shot in a few months.
Amazing food. I was a little concerned because the menu did not have a lot of variety, but WOW. The food was so good and had ample portions. We ordered several apps, sides, and entrees to share. The smoked whiskey drink is also outstanding. Highly recommend this place. Sit on the top level for some epic views of the valley.
The food was alright, not worth what you pay for it. We ordered the corn dip appetizer, the chips were from a bag. The pork chop was juicy, but almost certain the potatoes were powdered. My husband had the short rib grilled cheese, he said it was alright nothing special. It’s not a grilled cheese, but rather a spread. The meat was tender on it, but lacked flavor.
I will say the drinks were amazing and strong.
Went out to celebrate a birthday with some friends. It was great food with awesome ambience.
Wonderful setting, atmosphere, food, and service!
Love this new spot!!! Beautiful patio. Never a wait!
We were looking for the food scene in Salt Lake City. Took a few misses before we finally found Eight Settlers Distillery. It was fabulous! On 2 different nights we had the bone marrow (each night-it was that good) and the Shrimp Po'Boy and Airline chicken. Wonderful wait staff and great/friendly service.
The owner greeted us, knowledgeable and friendly.
Staff and managers alike was awesome, supporting the ambiance and experience..
The Smoked Gate Old Fashion may be a new hit, with Bourbon made in house....
Thank you, we’ll be back..
Food is great and the restaurant is beautiful. The service could use some refining. It took quite a while to even see a waitress who asked what we wanted to drink and she missed part of our order. She owned up to it and made sure it was fixed quickly. All in all it was a good experience.
