Wonderful place for a nice meal a d open environment.. Not too fancy but definitely not too casual either!! Menu was a bit limited on options but overall everyone was happy with their selections! Drinks are great! They have a local on-site store that you can purchase distilled spirits that they have made and are absolutely phenomenal!

Drinks were the best part. Old fashion was great. Spinach Artichoke dip was really good but top cheese was burnt and the pita chips were over cooked. Ahi Tuna was good, Salmon was a bit fishy. Desert was dry.

Fabulous!! We were there for my husband’s birthday. The food was OUTSTANDING! Get the brussel sprout appetizer for sure! Our entrees were perfectly delicious! This was our first time there and we will be returning…often!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here. We sat in one of the small cells off to the side. The food was so delicious and ambience was great. I have been here before and will definitely be back.

I went there with my husband for a different type of food and drink experience. The drinks were delicious, but not enough on their own to warrant a return visit. The food was lackluster. It was also a bit confusing. For example, the Baked Brie Crostini has several components, but it is not cohesive. It may have been if we could have found a way to eat all of the components together, but that was impossible. The Shrimp and Grits were lacking serious flavor. When we order this classic southeastern dish, we expect bold flavor with a decent amount of heat. This was a crowd-pleasing amount of heat with very little overall flavor. The arugula salad on top is not necessary. Mixing it in would be impossible, but it is difficult to eat them together. The Short Rib Grilled Cheese was absolutely missing something. We bekieve that was also flavor. All the components from the menu were there, but it just was flat in flavor. We could see the bacon onion jam on the sandwich, but we could not taste it. The short rib was tender, but that was about it. It just lacked flavor. It may have been better with a smoky component (not necessarily barbecue sauce) and maybe a hint of sweetness. We ordered some of their wings to go. These were actually very good. They provided the barbecue sauce on the side, which made it great for reheating at home. The barbecue sauce is really delicious. This would have been perfect on the short rib grilled cheese. The atmosphere is really nice. The staff was friendly. You go to a restaurant for the food, and we just cannot see us driving 40 minutes from our home again to try it again. Maybe if we lived closer, we would give it another shot. Kind of disappointing as we expected so much more.

We went to Eight Settlers to celebrate my husband’s birthday with family and friends. I was able to make same day reservations, which was so wonderful. All the food was enjoyed by everyone. The bar drinks were really good too. It’s a really nice place and the service was excellent. We’ll be coming back.

Loved our service as we had friends from out of town visiting and it was nice to have plenty of time to get caught up. Our wait staff was good to check in with us just the right amount. At first I thought taking up one of the “jail cell” spaces would feel claustrophobic, but it proved to be perfect, away from the larger parties with more noise and nice to have a little space just for the four of us. I thought the menu a bit pricey, but we had such a good time we’ll probably go back again. Much improved from our first visit a year ago.

Didn’t realize that it would be an only brunch menu for Father’s Day afternoon. If you order anything (even bread) it takes 20 minutes to come out of the kitchen; the restaurant wasn’t busy either. We’ve been for dinner four times and loved it, maybe we are just not brunch people, but the service is always leisurely.

We have often had lunch at Eight Settlers Distillery during the week. This time we went on a Sunday for Father's Day brunch. Food selection was good and a good mix of breakfast/lunch choices. Food is always good and the service is always great. This time was no different.

The Appetizer what’s the best part of the mill when you pay upwards to $50 for a steak you would want to be able to cut it yourself and to be at least 14 to 16 ounces of prime beef the portions on the meat were slim and the desert taste like Duncan Hines

Disappointed the cookie skillet was removed from the menu. We probably won’t return because of this change. The chairs in main level dining aren’t the most comfortable either.

The food and service were great. The salmon entree and brisket grilled cheese sandwich were delicious! In terms of the atmosphere, we were initially seated in a wide open space upstairs and there was a large family group seated near us who were very loud and we’re letting their kids run around, which made it difficult for us to hear each other and have a conversation. Fortunately they also have a separate room which is for 21+ guests. Our server was wonderful and was able to move us to the 21+ room, where the ambiance was much nicer and we were able to hear each. If you want more of an adult experience, be sure to ask that you be seating in the 21+ room when you make your reservation : )

We were very much looking forward to dining here, but must say overall we left disappointed. The food and drinks were enjoyable but there is no vibe to the restaurant. The service was fine, but flat. Honestly overall nothing that made this “special” and very overpriced for what you get. No dietary/ allergy menu available, waitress was able to read off available options yet with little confidence. Got up charged for GF substitutions without notice. My recommendation: if you do go, get the venison- even better yet, just go buy a bottle of gin from the shop and leave it at that.

The restaurant had apparently been closed for a week or so for a remodel/update. I’ll start with the positive. Our food was excellent. I had the flat iron steak and my wife had the airline chicken…..we enjoyed both and they were cooked to perfection along with the sides. Service……well…..that’s another story. It was as if no one had ever worked in a restaurant before. It took 10-15 minutes to get our drinks. We had to ask for our silverware/napkins 20 minutes into being seated. We ordered an appetizer (bread)…which arrived AFTER our main course. My biggest beef is regarding an issue I had with their wine list. They listed Austin Hope for $79. What they brought me was Austin by Austin Hope…….two COMPLETELY different wines. Austin Hope is a $50 bottle retail (typically selling for $100+ in restaurants), whereas Austin by Austin Hope is a $18 bottle retail. This made the markup almost 4.5x for a bottle what is misleading on the menu. Their wine list made it seem as if they were offering the Austin Hope (the premium wine), albeit for a below market up charge. I called it to our waiter attention and ended up speaking to the GM. We opted for the Louis Martini ($17 retail) for $57, which is a normal markup for a restaurant. The bottle of “Austin” they offer on the menu should be in the $57ish price range as well. The GM listened, but I got the impression he was just appeasing me and completely disagreed with my opinion on the wine. Again….the food was phenomenal, but the service was less than desirable, but I’m hoping that was just a hiccup from it being the first night of their “re-opening”. Hopefully they fix the misleading name of the wine and fix the price point to match the market for the $18 bottle that it is (and it’s a decent wine).

This has been one of my favorite restaurants for a while and I have introduced friends to 8th Settlers who have also enjoyed it. In particular they have a chicken breast sandwich with bacon, served on a brioche bun. That sandwich is now pieces of chicken in some sort of seasoning, served on toasted white bread. It kept falling apart and was difficult to eat. Finally I bagged the pieces to take home to the dog. I should have said something to the server or asked for something different, but foolishly I didn't. Our server was great as were all other staff but the food was disappointing.

I’ve been to Eight Settlers many times for dinner. This was my first time attending their special occasion brunch buffet for Mother’s Day. The food was just ok. I don’t feel like it was anything to write home about. I don’t feel like it was worth $70/adult and $30/kid. Not many options for kids other than the usual pancakes, eggs and bacon. I honestly don’t think I will attend another special occasion brunch buffet again at this restaurant.

The mother's day brunch was pretty nice. The restaurant opened early and they gave roses to mothers. The food was pretty good although for the price I wish it was just a bit higher quality; Some things weren't seasoned well. Most of the food was delicious and the ambience was pretty good and the decorations and cutlery fit with the vibe.

4 of our 8 orders came out wrong. Pretty simple things like dressing on the side, then it took a while for the chef to remake a salad. Drinks were amazing. The view is amazing, especially if you sit upstairs, but it’s only open Fri-Sun. Clean beautiful restrooms. Great servers and hosts.
