Edwige has consistently excellent food!
Just average. Quality ingredients but nothing overall special.
If you want a good meal in a low-key, comfortable atmosphere, this is the place.
What a delightful meal! Cozy, view of the street, friendly service, and delicious food. One of my favorite restaurants in Ptown.
Excellent food / excellent service
Once again a great dinner. Many new dishes; the place continues to be innovative and friendly. I look forward to many summer evenings of delicious food and a view down to bustling Commercial St
Always like it at Edwige.....good value and good food....
It always gets better season after season, even with the transition to new owners.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food and drinks were fresh, and delicious. Service was attentive, timely and thoughtful. I look forward to returning soon.
Great service and the food was fantastic!
Just a fabulous evening, great waitress, delicious food. Met the owner and her passion for the restaurant was evident and inspiring. Can’t wait to return next season.
One of my favorite Ptown restaurants. Creative and delicious food. Very friendly service.
Second floor restaurant, nice booth overlooking the street, friendly staff and good service. Wonderful sounding descriptions of menu items, yet food presented didn’t quite look like them. Will give them another try.
Delicious food as always.
I liked my dinner at Edwidge, but that's about as far as I could go -- "like." I wanted to love it. This restaurant has been a go-to spot for me for years and years. Ownership was changed a little over a year ago. So this was my first time back in a couple of years. I found the food to be over-fussy. A crab cake surrounded by an odd (almost Indian) sauce that didn't sense to the dish was a little off-putting. Then a steak that had an even more odd pesto sauce on it that tasted sour and old. A mushroom side dish was delicious, as was the brussels sprouts, seasoned well, fresh. I'll go back because I want the restaurant to thrive in Ptown. I just hope they've settled in to their style.
Can not recommend this restaurant. Very mediocre overpriced food. Service was ok. Many other restaurants in Provincetown are a better value.
Always enjoy Edwige and always recommend it. I am a meat lover but they have a vegetarian dish that I dream about, always a tough choice. Great drinks, love the staff.
Creative menu and amazing drinks I would come back just for the Ginger Cosmos but fear their deliciousness would turn me into an alcoholic.
Lovely, cheerful, disorganized waitress. Two very unfortunate bridesmaid parties kinda ruined things for everyone. (I would have seated them on the patio, no matter what.
Food was not as on point as in the past.
Really horrible experience. Waitress barely paid attention to us and way too expensive for the portions.
Absolutely loved the salmon. One of the best I’ve had.
I haven’t been there in about 30 years. It was memorable then and even more memorable this time. All 5 of us enjoyed the meal from start to finish.
Always a pleasure to eat here. So adorable and quaint.
This was my second time having dinner at Edwige in the last month. The first time was so nice, I decided it was the perfect cozy and friendly place to take my husband and our two out of town guests for dinner. Edwige did not disappoint. Our server was a very pleasant woman from Slovakia named Patrice. Her smile could light up the room. All of the servers, and the owner go out of their way to be friendly and helpful.
Two people in our party had the cavatappi, whch they loved. I snuck a bite, it was delicious. My friend had the flat iron steak. He said it was fantastic. I was boring, and had the same meal I had the first time I came because it was so tasty: the pork chop. The tiny mushrooms have been sauteed in butter and lightly coat the haricot verts. Everthing was delicious, and the bread is also very good. Kind of a sourdough taste.
This was the perfect place to introduce our friends to PTown, and also to enjoy Labor Day evening.
WOW. edwige was really fantastic. The Caeser Salad was THE BEST I have had since BOA Steakhouse in L.A. Don't miss the octopus either. Robert was our server and he provided excellent service with a comfortable vibe. Excellent Wine List. Summer Sip cocktail was refreshing and delicious. Beautiful Room. Can't wait to go back!
I get to Provincetown once a year, and when I do I love to do a brunch here at Edwige. This year we decided to try for dinner. While the food was OK, I have to say that the horrible service we received destroyed our evening. When appetizers are brought to the table with our main courses, worse when the waiter doesn't even come by to check on us because he knows he messed up. When your treated rudely because you send a drink back that is undrinkable. Well, you know it's time to cross this establishment off your list forever. So long!
Short menu but everything done very well. Highly recommended.
Our server was delightful and made excellent food recommendations. She remembered us by name and graciously recognized our anniversary.
Once again, a great meal with wonderful service and terrific cocktails! Thank you!
Excellent food, very attentive service, so plan to go back
This place is fabulous- in all aspects - flavor, ambiance, service, etc. it’s our new fav place on Ptown. It has a new (and very kind) owner for the last two years. Must have the pork chop - yes I know. Pork chop on cape cod? Yes. Trust me. Oh and try the cucumber cocktail- it’s delish. And head there for breakfast on the weekends. Kid friendly if you have them!
Best dinner in Ptown! Creative, well executed, attractive and thoughtful combinations, excellent service!
The food is usually good but it never goes to the top level and always seems just to miss the mark. It's quite good nonetheless and worth the visit. Staff could not be nicer and more caring than they are. Atmosphere a bit barn-like and surfaces a bit hard.
Hadn’t been there in years (and we live in Provincetown); will go back soon. Three people had three different entrees, everyone was extremely satisfied.
Service, food and staff amazing! All wait staff waited on us and Chris the maitre ‘d was the best!
I love edwige. I have been dining there for many years. I like the room and tables by the window. The owners and wait staff are always top notch. I’m sorry to have to leave a bad review but last night’s dinner was disappointing. I ordered a steak, a cut that I have never heard of, and the piece that I received was almost inedible. Even while using a steak knife if you were able to make it half way through you would run into strings of tendons, I almost asked for scissors. To top it off so to speak it came on a bed of lumpy unseasoned polenta. Garbage, which is where it ended up.
I think I was expecting more from this place in terms of ambiance of food quality. It all just seemed okay. It was good but not great. The interior was nice enough although hot. It's not a place that typically sees hot days but a few fans would have been nice to move the air around at least.
As to the food. Was not overly impressed with the cold pea soup starter. Again, not bad and tasted like cold peas which is expected, but was hoping for more elevation. The monk-fish was odd. Not in everyone's wheelhouse but it arrived foamy and somewhat grey on a bed of sugar snap peas. If I recall correctly the menu said haricot verts which should be the more thinner type green beans so I'm not sure if that was an oops or an unexpected substitution. The pasta dish was also a bit underwhelming. Very dry.
Service was good and generally quick and nice. I think the place is just missing presentation creativity and depth and polish of the flavor profiles of their dishes.
service poor, food uninspired. an unsatisfying dining experience. do not recommend
Superb dining. Food was exquisitely prepared. Service was attentive and friendly. Monk fish was excellent and the cold pea soup extraordinary
Great from start to finish. Food was amazing!! Loved the fun music. Very P-Townish.
