Firstly disappointed there was no all day breakfast! Service was rude, unwelcoming and it appeared that everything was too much trouble. Burger was standard, fries over seasoned, nachos were hard & over seasoned too with lumps of powdered seasoning in places, Childs hotdog was broken with one end missing and in a stale bun!

We arrived to Ed's Diner to be seated, we were asked if we wanted a high chair for our little one and then we were sat down and not given menus which we had to ask for. On arrival on the menu we were basically told they didn't have alot of the menu. I understand it was busy due to Mothers Day but why wouldn't they order to cater throughout the day. The food was generally good, however the staff were like children in a school, massaging each others heads, walking around laughing and joking, I had to find the waiter to refill my drink 4 times and generally the experience from them was lacking. There was no authorative figure making sure everyone did their job which was poor. The floors were filthy, and the leather seats were sticky. They didn't listen to our order correctly and generally it was really lacking in service.

We were a party of three. It was 5:30pm and already 3 starters on the menu had run out. Starters we ordered where at our table within 5minutes of ordering so not sure how half a rack of ribs where done in such a short time....the ribs were tasteless and the sauce was watery.Two orders of halloumi fries were fine One chicken burger was rubbery and tough....the cheese burger was only luke warm and the cheese not even melted....the Chicken stack was fine but the portion of coleslaw was tasteless. It seemed that all the food had been pre cooked and reheated to order which is such a shame as we visited the same Eds Diner last year and really enjoyed it. The restaurant wasn't even half full at 5:30pm so there was no reason to see why the food seemed to be pre cooked and not freshly cooked to order.

The food took a ridiculous amount of time. We ordered one single patty burger and 2 fries and it took about 45 mins after ordering. If this was a proper restaurant style place then you might be prepared for this but I was definitely not. Food was good however the wait was so long it affected our experience. However I do have to give credit to the waitress who served us, she was very nice and apologetic about the wait.

Took my husband for breakfast as it was his birthday. He loves Ed’s diner and I had never been . We are big fans of pancakes so we knew we would have the full American. We arrived a little early but they seated us straight away . The waitress failed to let us know they had run out of pancakes as she handed menus. We were very disappointed and it was only 10.30am to run out already . The food was nice and my husband enjoyed his meal and milkshake. Overall it was good . Bought some krispy Kreme doughnuts on the way home to compensate the missing pancakes .

Had a great time with our grandson for his 18th birthday. Burgers were lovely and the service was excellent. The staff really looked after our grandson and made him feel special on his birthday, cannot praise the staff enought. Excellent.

I had ordered a Coney Island dog, when it arrived their was no beef chilli on it, I did t notice until half way through the meal, my wife also ordered a chicken stack and ordered extra onion rings, when the meal arrived their was only o r portion of onion rings, we told the waitress and she said she would not charge us for the onion rings. When we got the bill they had charged us for the extra onion rings which we didn’t had.

We was really looking forward to coming to Eds easy diner, after the meadowhall one closed down. However, we were really disappointed with the food- the bacon wasn't streaky bacon like the menu stated, maple syrup and normal bacon really don't go together. The Pancakes was dry and fell apart and looked undercooked and one meal was missing the toast, she said I will get your toast in a minute but we didn't see her again until we had finished. Also the food, sausage patty and eggs was luke warm, considering we was 4 customers out of less the 10 customers at that time is really disgusting. The server who seated was nice and friendly but the server who took our order and served the food was obviously not happy to be there at all. We was seated under a TV which was advertising the film Clifford, the Big Red dog, which was being promoted in store but with the music in the restaurant and the TV sound it was annoying to hear them together. When you are paying at least £50 for 4 breakfasts (one child's) i would expect better serve and food that the menu says you serve. The server could have told us there was items different to the menu. Overall the atmosphere felt like the staff didn't want to be there and didn't want customers in there.

We had a table booked and we still had to line up, and they were letting the walk ins in before us. We waited 20 mins and then one of the staff members came out and said there was no burgers. This wouldn’t have happened if we had been sat down when we had booked. No point in booking really.

Booked at table for 7pm was greeted at door and taken to our seats where we waited 15 minutes in this time other people had came in the restaurant and got served before us after waiting 20 minutes we decided to leave as no one had come to our table to take our order. We have been to Ed’s diner several times and never had an issue but was very disappointed on this occasion.
