Wonderful Omakase tasting menu! Service is always great!
Everything was spectacular. The flavors were on point, and the fish fresh. Service was great. Would definitely recommend. Need to come back to try the omakase.
The sushi chef was a great guy. Awesome personality and knew how to prepare great sushi. Omakase is the way to go! Ambiance was typical sushi restaurant. The staff was amazing and very attentive. Can’t wait to go back.
Chef Lee Keunsik does an outstanding job. His knowledge of Japanese cuisine is complete and his artistry is beutiful. Quality of the fish is excellent - very fresh - beutiful oysters last evening too. Owner Sara Nam has put together an excellent team who will undoubtedy please many and be very successful.
Up scale Japanese food
Amazing omakase menu. High quality ingredients prepared perfectly
Service was very slow for a mid week dinner when the restaurant was less than half full. Having been there a few weeks earlier, I don’t believe it was a labor issue. If I’m paying top tier prices, I expect a bit better service.
I would definitely recommend Edoko. We had a great experience. I would highly recommend the omakase. Every course was delicious. And thank you to the chef, owner and staff for the special “happy anniversary” dessert. That was a very nice touch. Excellent service. Excellent all-around. I can’t stop thinking about how good the oysters were. Been craving them all day. Thank you!
The omakase was such a great dining experience. Still craving some things.!
The staff at Edoko Omakase are accommodating and prompt. The omakase wS perfection. EACH new creation outdid the last. Chef Lee certainly knows how to curate a one of a kind experience. Thanks for making my annual gathering of high school friends a night to remember.
The food was delicious, the service was quick. It would have been nice to have more signature roll options.
I was at a team lunch so I didn't get a chance for any pictures, but this was just a great experience from getting help making a reservation for a larger party from Sara, to the pleasant staff and clean atmosphere. We ordered the largest Nigiri Platter which is all chef's choice and I loved all the pieces I got from it. The ones I can remember right off were a simple yellowtail tuna roll, salmon nigiri, and yellowtail tuna nigiri. Incredibly fresh tasting, well sliced, very nice. They don't have a ton of specialty rolls but we did order two and I honestly cannot remember the names of them. However, one of them came with a spicy, whipped green sauce and crispy garlic on top and it was amazing, and the other had a few pieces that had octopus so that was a first for me! lol My office is all remote right now and we're moving locations (which is close to Edoko), so since I don't really live close I look forward to trying this again when we return to the office!
We were very pleased with the food and service. It was a very pleasant surprise as it was our first visit and we were not sure what to expect. Very well prepared and presented dishes. Everything was very fresh and delicious.
Very knowledgeable staff. Amazing presentation of food. Delicious and trust your severs recommendation.
An absolute amazing experience! Best sushi/Japanese cuisine around by far!
Absolutely fantastic omakase.
My family was not impressed with their service. Food came to our table sporadically w/ 20-min intervals. A person who served us was not professional and not knowledgeable about sushi. He could have checked with a chef about a few things, but he even did not attempt. Price was unreasonably expensive. Not recommended for family.
Food was excellent. We had the Omakase service and enjoyed each dish. The only small issue we had was with the pacing. Between each offering the gap of time was not consistent and at one time was a long wait (15 minutes).
We enjoyed the sushi rolls and bento box.
Omakase here is a beautiful experience and so we’ll priced for the quality of the dishes and fish. Sit at the sushi bar if you can and watch the detail-oriented chefs compose your meal in front of you.
Came here for a birthday dinner to try the omakase! The dishes were all good but I thought there should be maybe 1 or 2 more dishes for the price… or at least include a miso soup which shouldn’t cost them much. Only 5 small dishes and a desert, which I could do without and just have another regular dish. Otherwise, great experience!
A fantastic lunch spot that cannot be beat. The quality of the sashimi in my bento is superior and what a price! Thank you Edoko!
Food was fantastic. Service was a little slow. Food was on time directly from the chef at the sushi bar.
I loved the calamari. The sushi (rolls) were the best I've had in years, maybe ever.
Great experience with a kind staff! We were amazed by the Omakase!
The perfect atmosphere for a perfect date. We sat at the sushi bar where Chef Lee performs his magic. This place is an absolute gem. Considering that DFW is landlocked, I am shocked at how fresh the sushi is at this place, WOW! We will definitely be back.
Service was extremely slow. Waited 15 minutes until they even took our drink order. Second time to dine here. Seems like it’s better to dine late versus prime time here. They simply can’t handle the number of customers. The food is excellent. Some of the best sushi in DFW.
Fresh ingredients, clean presentation of dishes, friendly staff. Good spectrum of selections for every sushi lover.
Quality of fish is outstanding
Even the rice is better than other sushi places.
It is pricey. But worth it.
The entire meal and dining experience was fantastic. As each course came out we received an explanation of what it was and where the food came from. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff! Will be returning for sure.
Outstanding as always. Come here weekly and never disappointed. Half the price of higher end Dallas sushi spots!
Amazing food and amazing service.
Food here is very good. Much of the fish is flown in from japan fresh. Nice ambiance and excellent design and decor. Service was good but not memorable.
So far, the best sushi we've found in Irving. This was our second visit, and it did not disappoint. The starters were delicious and we even tried the river crab. The Toro was spot on and is what I can't wait to got back for. We each did our own roll afterwards.
Great place and recommend a reservation. It fills up quickly.
Had a terrible smell inside. We had to move outside.
Great food, a true hidden gem in Irving. You won’t regret going here. Try the uni shooters.
Edoko Omakase was exactly what we were looking for. As it was our evening without the kids, I wanted a unique and classy sushi evening but didn’t want the overkill of a Nobu nor did I want the simplicity of a sushi bar. This is the place! The menu is unique and exciting. The variety of combinations will make you long forget a California Roll even exists. If you have someone with you that’s not a sushi fan, don’t worry. The Chef has some really unique items for the brisket and chicken fans out there.
I’d recommend looking through all of the food photographs on their Yelp reviews as it helps you appreciate, and even get excited, for what items you will want to try. The menu doesn’t have photos, and the descriptions often don’t mean much to an amateur like me. There’s so many great things you should try and might not know how good they’d be without those great reviews photos.
Service staff was superb. They had great descriptions and recommendations for us.
We had a great time at edoko. We all did the omakase courses and then ordered some nigiri. Very good selection and def coming back in the future.
Go here. You won’t regret it. Fresh inventive chef who makes you feel welcome.
