Modern European
EDŌ brings you a relaxed dining experience where you can enjoy the tastes of the best ingredients from around Europe. Head chef and owner Jonny Elliott brings a huge passion for food from his extensive experience working across Europe, including for top chefs Gordon Ramsay and Gary Rhodes. EDŌ is ideal for those wanting to experience a range of tastes through a sharing themed menu. For those who prefer a more traditional service, the starter and main course format are still available. EDŌ is one of only a very small number of restaurants to cook using a Bertha oven, which allows for the chefs to cook with apple and pear wood to give dishes a distinctive, smoky flavour. Jonny and Antonia look forward to welcoming you to EDŌ to take you on a journey of discovery of some of the best dishes and ingredients that Europe has to offer.

Good food and great ambience. Lively on a Saturday night. Very friendly service from helpful staff. Very quick and efficient service. Our first visit but it won't be our last. Very impressed. Not cheap but still good value.

Overall very good but even though we phoned to say we would be 15mins late, table wasn't ready. Offered us some nibbles while we waited and then included them on the bill!

Booked Edo after reading some reviews and glancing at their menu online. Although the menu had changed when we got there we were not disappointed, food really was very good, cocktails went down well, as did the Porto 6. A very relaxed atmosphere but we found the staff exceptionally attentive withour ever being overbaring, we will certainly be back, and would happily encourage others to try it.

A restaurant for those in a social and sharing mood. Sit at the bar enjoy conversation and small delicious sharing dishes while you graze through the menu as you please. Dont go with a stater/main/dessert mentality, the chefs are creative so you can be too.

We found the food sounded nicer on the menu than it tasted and wasn’t executed particularly well. The quail was stringy and the soft shell crab had much more batter than usual light soft shell crab dishes. Some nice ideas and potential, but could definitely be much better.

Always a joy to introduce friends to Edo, food is outstanding ( although really missed the monkfish scams and goats cheese fritters) everyone leaves extolling its virtues. Malachi and the front of house staff are so friendly and welcoming and create a wonderful atmosphere.

I have no problem in recommending Edò to diners'. The food is inventive, freshly sourced and of a high standard. Besides the main menu there are always inticing 'specials' on the menu and the front of house staff are happy to help recommend wines to compliment each dish.
Fabulous experience for newcomers and experienced diners alike.
Thank you Team Edò, see you soon!

Party of 3 all of whom kept ordering tapas size plates. Every plate was different, all delicious. Indeed, we ordered far to much food but manged to squeeze space for dessert. Dessert was once again delicious. Our lovely waitress (a young Polish girl) was very patient answering all our questions as to what we thought we were going to order.
You do need to be careful however as it is easy to rack up a big bill eating all that lovely food.

Dont come here and think starter main dessert. Share a couple of plates at a time and graze through the menu. To get a real feel for the place sit at the bar, take recommendations from the chef and try the specials. Great place for delicious dishes and conversation.

We really enjoyed our dining experience at EDŌ. We managed to find a last minute booking at 9pm on a Saturday night at the bar and loved seeing the professionalism of the staff as they prepared meals. The server that assisted us with the menu was incredibly helpful and gave great suggestions.
We ordered a number of small dishes and cold meats throughout the night and shared mains and dessert. The paella was beautifully prepared and hearty without being overly filling. The churros were incredibly moorish and I had to stop myself from ordering two portions! It was a great night, we'll be back.

Great tapas restaurant with lots of interesting dishes. The monkfish and the tomatoes and mozzarella were our top choices. Desert was also very good. Some of the dishes are very pricey for what you get and the amount of effort that goes into making them.. I don't mind paying £15 for a tiny piece of trout if it is exceptional but it wasn't that level. The wine list was actually quite reasonable.

I will be back.
