An upmarket neighbourhood bistro serving locally focused dishes. We are a bustling one-room restaurant with a comfy bar. Seasonal menus include P.E.I. Blue Dot rib eye steaks, local seafood, and seasonal veg.

Open for lunch service Tuesday-Friday 1130-230
Open for Supper service Tuesday-Sunday 5-10pm
Open for Brunch service Sunday 10-2 pm

We keep bar seating open for walk-ins each night so feel free to pop in.

Reservations recommended, walk-ins welcome but not guaranteed.

***Please note when picking a reservation time that our licence requires minors (even sweet tiny little babies) to be out of the restaurant by 10pm, sorry for the inconvenience.

    The service was wonderful. The place seems like a great place to meet friends. For a Saturday night, it was full, with a mature crowd. The food was tasty though I was underwhelmed.

    The food was very good and delicately served on the plate, wine list was comprehensive but only a few local items - however noise level was very high, it was almost impossible to hear what my partner was saying. Luckily we sat by the window otherwise it would have been unbearable.

    Delicious food, innovative menu, pork and lamb dumplings in broth and burrata with roasted hazelnuts a standout, good variety and vegetarian options. Highly recommend

    20 min. or more to get drinks and bar was not busy. 2 friend split the duck breast - his half was fine, her half was sinewy and unchewable. I had squid tagliatelli, not much discernible squid in it maybe 5 small pieces. sauce was excellent as was my burrata. Friends were treating us so I could hardly tell them to complain about the duck. All the rest was outstanding. Agno,otti with scallops were superb.

    What a wonderful evening and perfect place to celebrate a happy event. Service was warm and friendly and food was exceptional with one slight exception: halibut cheeks were over cooked by a couple of minutes and potato accompaniment was cold and flavourless (sorry - important to be truthful). The rest of the food was delicious and dessert was sublime!

    Every time we visit Halifax to see our son we remember to visit this fabulous restaurant. The food is inventive and delicious without being pretentious. The ambiance is casual yet elevated. The level of hospitality is beyond expectation. On this visit we were treated incredibly warmly and felt every aspect of our experience was 10/10. The meal was superb, all five guests were thrilled with their meals! The appetizers and amuse bouches were stellar. The cocktails were crafted meticulously and the desserts were fab! The cost of the meal was extremely fair considering the quality, creativity and wonderful service.

    Exquisite care from the host from first step in the door, even after we were late for our reservation. Everything was top. Price was very reasonable. Loved the choice between well-done classics to very creative discoveries. One thing that was surprising: water at the table was from the tap. The taste of tap water did not pair well with the rest. An establishment of this calibre would be smart to up level their water game.
