An upmarket neighbourhood bistro serving locally focused dishes. We are a bustling one-room restaurant with a comfy bar. Seasonal menus include P.E.I. Blue Dot rib eye steaks, local seafood, and seasonal veg.

Open for lunch service Tuesday-Friday 1130-230
Open for Supper service Tuesday-Sunday 5-10pm
Open for Brunch service Sunday 10-2 pm

We keep bar seating open for walk-ins each night so feel free to pop in.

Reservations recommended, walk-ins welcome but not guaranteed.

***Please note when picking a reservation time that our licence requires minors (even sweet tiny little babies) to be out of the restaurant by 10pm, sorry for the inconvenience.

    Every time we visit Halifax to see our son we remember to visit this fabulous restaurant. The food is inventive and delicious without being pretentious. The ambiance is casual yet elevated. The level of hospitality is beyond expectation. On this visit we were treated incredibly warmly and felt every aspect of our experience was 10/10. The meal was superb, all five guests were thrilled with their meals! The appetizers and amuse bouches were stellar. The cocktails were crafted meticulously and the desserts were fab! The cost of the meal was extremely fair considering the quality, creativity and wonderful service.

    Exquisite care from the host from first step in the door, even after we were late for our reservation. Everything was top. Price was very reasonable. Loved the choice between well-done classics to very creative discoveries. One thing that was surprising: water at the table was from the tap. The taste of tap water did not pair well with the rest. An establishment of this calibre would be smart to up level their water game.

    We had brunch at EDNA. It was relaxed. The meals were deliciously! My husband had the egg sandwich special. He thought it was amazing! I had the banana bread French toast and it was very good. The staff was friendly. It was an enjoyable experience.

    The food was excellent. The flavor combinations were imaginative and worked well. All the food was fresh and well presented. We had oysters, scallops, halibut cheeks, gnocchi as well as dessert and the charcuterie board. Our best meal in Halifax!

    Incredibly thoughtful food prepared perfectly and served with grace and style. Very unpretentious in every way, but one of our best food experiences in the last decade. Very worthwhile.

    My husband and I come here once every couple of months. It's our go-to for special occasions and we love bringing friends here. The food is always excellent, the service friendly, and the cocktails are inventive and tasty. Consistently great on all fronts!

    The rhubarb cheesecake was the special dessert and deserves a place on the menu alongside the other amazing food at EDNA. The cheesecake was light and even airy and the rhubarb glaze had the perfect balance of sweet and tart. EDNA never ever fails to surpass our expectations and add new flavours to our experience.
