We had friends/business people in town. The food was great, but the service was not great. The waitress seemed to be frustrated with us. She brought the check to the table before even asking if we wanted dessert-- which we did! We then ordered 3 desserts to split and she re-rang the check. She stopped smiling at us, and someone else started helping our table. We really felt like for a $50 tip, she was unfriendly and did not want us there.

Made reso couple of days before our Saturday nite visit-few seating times available if we wanted to be inside, so we ended up with a very early seating. Restaurant quickly filled up-even though it has quite a large seating capacity. Server was prompt, professional, friendly. Charcuterie plate was tasty with good variety. We split an entree and were not charged a plate fee-appreciated. Interesting wine selections available by the glass. Overall very enjoyable dinner here.

Our server Eric made our experience at Edmonds Oast amazing. He was knowledgeable about the menu, just enough sass to make it fun and always looking out for us and our dining experience. Thank you again Eric for a great Saturday night

We’d love to go back and be seated outside; it was raining the night we went. Food was good, not great. Ambience was loud for dining. Great for a cocktail get together, but I’d eat elsewhere.

What's not like! Chef's table section is a blast, servers knowledgeable and attentive, 30 in house brews +. Total fun dining experience. Loved the shrimp, triggerfish with grits, pickled okra, yum!

We went for a Friday night date night and everything was amazing. Eric was our server and he was excellent, very knowledgeable about the menu, and made sure to answer any questions we had. The assorted cheese and charcuterie were delicious. We had the chicken and hanger steak entrees, respectively, and both were cooked to perfection.

Will definitely be coming back!

Great atmosphere. Great food; unique taste; service was not inline with the price point of the restaurant. Wine list was limited and overpriced by 350%. Fun , lively and trendy; would recommend to go 100%, but don’t expect southern hospitality from the servers. They too busy

A tad pretentious when it comes to pricing, Edmund's Oast is primarily a haven for beer lovers, not foodies or others. The food is well prepared and ample. The noise level, however, is so high that our table basically abandoned efforts to converse. That's unfortunate for folks like us who like to share a meal that includes vibrant conversation. Glad we tried Edmund's Oast, but we are not likely to return.

We been going to Charleston for the food scene for over ten years now. This place was recommended by our waiter at Halls Chophouse. Food, drinks were exceptional and very original. Cow tongue hash - would not have thought it was a good as it was. A place you must try - do not look at the menus on the website it does not the food any justice. Our server April was the best!!!!

Went here to celebrate our anniversary because it was recommended to us. So, Wife and I decided we would like to share a nice glass of real champagne to toast to start the night off, they served it in one glass (so no toast) and it was flat. We then decided that wine is not an option here because perhaps they don't store them properly. This is after we sent the champagne back because the server told us that the champagne was a little flat since it was from a already opened up bottle and lost its effervescent. Really? Then why sell it? Our first course was pickled vegetables, cheese plate and the okra starter. Which all three were tasty. On to their beers, I had the pale ale they brew and enjoyed it's easy drinkable profile but my wife drank the PBJ beer, which she said was the worst beer she ever drank. Finally, shared for main dishes the mushrooms, octopus and the Trigger shrimp plates. The Mushrooms were great, octopus was paired with Thai flavorings and didn't go well together but the octopus was cooked a little over charred. (We've enjoyed plenty of charred octopus in Greece and other places) Lastly, the trigger was very enjoyable but the pairing of grits covered in marinara sauce...little bit out there. Overall I'm fighting for reasons to go back. I would say that the atmosphere was great and look of the restaurant was very inviting. Maybe it was just a busy Friday night and they were just pumping out guests.

This was our 4th time visiting Edmunds Oast and it just gets better every time which is saying something considering our first visit was outstanding. The service is top notch, the voodo economics cocktail is a must for brunch and the beef tongue hash was easily one of the best things I have eaten, maybe ever, and I have eaten everywhere. As a former Charleston resident who now lives in Charlotte, Edmonds Oast is a must do if you are visiting and one of the many reasons why my wife and I constantly say we need to move back to Charleston! Well done and keep up the amazing work!

Our server was fantastic and the ambiance was lovely. However, the food just wasn’t as good as I was expecting. We ordered the octopus and it was very fishy tasting - I normally love octopus. Also the pecan dessert was dry and had hardly any pecans. I feel like we just hit it on an off night and/or ordered the wrong things, because people rave about this place all the time.

About 5 years ago one of Charleston’s restaurant critics called Edmund’s Oast the most important restaurant opening of the year. Five years later it just keeps getting better. The selection of craft beers on tap is almost overwhelming; I always go for whatever they are offering in a cask (currently a traditional English real ale). The house made charcuterie is the best in town. Grilled octopus salad, delicious. If you like curry, Salt Chicken is your go to. And no matter what you order you have to have their perfectly cooked french fries. Yes, the place can be noisy (request a booth). The service is always exceptional. If you have never been, get there now!

Sat at the chef's table and loved all the activity--dinner AND a show. Such a choreographed effort and it was seamless.

Food was great and service was superior. In fact, I sent a 12 pack to the kitchen staff (a great suggestion on the menu!).

Will definitely return.

We went for Sunday brunch and the food was just not good this go round.
Limited menu, tortilla chips soggy, unpleasant food combinations/flavors in my bowl. I've been for dinner and it was much different and we had a great time with great food/drinks. I think they just need to step up the brunch menu.

A huge thank you to Edmund's Oast for helping us celebrate our anniversary!

From the moment we entered it was great. The hostess was friendly and our servers were outstanding - remembering it was our anniversary and guiding us through the way the menu is set up.

Sunday is half off bottles of wine so we totally splurged on an amazing Chateau Yvonne!

We decided to do the snacks and tapas size plates - our dinner was frites, a pickled and fried dish that was so tasty; then we had the peppers and the grouper collar. Also some collards and a surprise dish of spaghetti squash. For dessert we did the peanut butter and chocolate bar which comes with a yummy ice cream and our server brought us a side dish of chocolate hazelnut ice cream that went perfectly.

Seriously, it was one of the best meals we've had. I will go back when we are in Charleston again and I highly recommend it.
