edit. - The Arlington Hotel
Fantastic service - everyone there was so friendly, attentive, helpful, and even while wearing a mask, you can tell they were smiling. The food was delicious and portions were generous. We will be back soon!
Freaking exquisite man
Great choice on the menu, our meal was excellent, staff were attentive and informative, we had a wonderful meal, thanks
We always have an enjoyable experience eating at the Arlington. The food is always tasty, the service friendly yet casual, and the patio which is covered over with grape vines, is a nice spot for a beautiful sunny day.
Very good food, great service. Had a guitar player/singer that was very enjoyable and not too loud. Definitely would recommend this restaurant. Thanks
Nice place overall.
Menu is hard to find something I want to eat.
We were going to see a concert at the DT building so decided to have dinner beforehand at Edit. So glad we did! Food and wine were fabulous! Thank you!
First time visiting, food was delicious & reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning!
Great old style hôtel - very well renovated. Lots of cachet. Bed very comfortable. Only little thing, as it is an old hôtel, expect some noise from the heating system.
Food was amazing. Short rib was wonderful. Beautiful venue and great service.
The food was very good and just the right sized serving.
The meal was 5 delicious courses
Our waitress was gracious and attentive
A lovely way to celebrate Nee Years Eve
We will definitely be back!
This is our second time coming to the edit and we were very impressed with how they handleD allergies. They ensured that they had a clear understanding of our allergies and were extremely accommodating for any dishes that may have been an issue. The chef came out a few times to explain changes in dishes for our allergies and make sure everything was okay.
As for the food itself, although not an extensive menu, it was very good. The creme brûlée pate was amazing. The ingredients are local and very fresh. Highly recommend.
We love coming here to eat - we come with high expectations that the food will be excellent and it did not disappoint. The chicken liver brûlée and the Thai curried crab cake were amazing. Great evening.
Great service old world charm with contemporary twist. Taco Tues was delicious. All four flavours were yummy. An absolutely lovely evening.
Lovely staff, very attentive. The food was not and delicious and th of wait was reasonable. Will eat here again
Good food in a great location, we enjoyed the meal and the time we spent, we will be back for sure.
Love the fresh daily specials. Staff was great accommodating us with one person being late and sharing food.
Wife and I had our Wedding Anniversary dinner at Edit , the food was really good (not much more you can do to make streak and chips ) good choices for Beer and wine . The waiter was friendly with the right amount of interaction. The only disappointment was that the menu on the web site had some appetizers that I was looking forward to having but were not offered/available that night. The gift card was a very nice touch and the end . Would highly recommend to anyone for dinner
We have been to the Edit many times and had wonderful experiences. However this last time was extremely disappointing. We were there with friends to celebrate an anniversary. Two of the party ordered the schnitzel with German noodles, the noodles being one of the big selling features for this entree. When it arrived, the pork was on a bed of potatoes. When we asked about the noodles, the waitress said sorry, there were no more noodles so they substituted the potatoes. When the kitchen staff realized there were no more noodles, they should have come back to the table and given us the opportunity to order something else. The schnitzel itself was unlike any schnitzel I’m familiar with. It was quite thick, basically just a breaded pork chop. I ordered the Cornish hen. Now I realize they are small birds but this was truly a tiny portion served on a massive serving of mashed potatoes. It was quite tasty but certainly not enough to be satisfying. I’m hoping the Edit was just having a bad night as in the past we have had great experiences here🤞.
Impressed that this restaurant read out notes about unsweetened iced tea and made a batch. You wouldn’t think more would do that - this one definitely does. Way to go !!
We had the most amazing meal on Saturday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were married at the dominion 2 years ago. We definitely will be keeping with the tradition of our anniversary dinner at the Arlington.
The food was outstanding and the service was great. Everyone/everything was top notch!
The hotel is very nice, but I would not recommend the fish and chips. The fish was mushy and coated in far too much batter and the cole slaw was somewhat dry. So for $17, such a disappointing, overpriced meal. We did not have breakfast because of this meal.
We had a fantastic meal at edit. When booking our reservation, I said that it was our anniversary. We were offered a complimentary dessert tasting board that was absolutely fantastic and really helped to make our night special. We will definitely be back!
The Edit website says they use a blackboard menu. Links are provided to instagram photos of the blackboard and food - which looked very interesting. But there seems to be a huge mismatch between the website, instagram pictures and what we experienced when we had dinner there. There was almost nothing on the blackboard -- the one main listed was not available till 7:30pm (we were there at 6pm). We were given a paper menu, which was very limited. The items we ordered turned out to be nothing special, and certainly didn't live up to the website boasts about excellence. The fish was dry as a bone. The (cured?) salmon seemed to be about to go 'over the hill'. The creme caramel (the only desert available) was authentic. Why did the waitress never ask us if we wanted coffee with our desert?? 90% of the tables were empty the entire time we were there.
We will not be going back. What a disappointment.
Excellent food/ beautiful environment / great service / I would recommend again / great price.
Excellent night ! Excellent food, excellent service. Would highly recommend.
The entres were spot on as was the dessert. They made accommodations for food allergies. Service was attentive. The beef was so tough I requested it to be removed from the menu! I ran a catering company for 35 years and wrote a cook book so I know how meat should be prepared.
The ambiance outside was good. It does need something done to inside but the food was really good. We just recently moved to Paris and have tried a lot of the restaurants . I would go again and recommend but I thought I was getting a 5 oz glass of wine for $9 along with the wine my husband ordered and when the bill came it was $16 for each. Will ask the next time.
We had a great table on the terrace after a wonderful day tubing down the Grand River.
The food and drinks were great, our waitress was attentive and very friendly even though the place was packed. Great evening all around :)
It is a great spot. Food is good and service was very good. We have sat inside but this night we were outside as there was music. They should get rid of the weeds growing in the patio area. Also there were two (dying) planters with leaves that should be removed.
Service was absolutely terrible. Food didn’t come for hour and 15 minutes. Didn’t see a waitress we had to hunt one down. They ended up giving our food for free but by then we were really irritated
Excellent food with quality ingredients. Would have liked a vegetarian choice but a change to another dish was cheerfully done.
Seated immediately, coffee soon to follow. The southern benny is a favourite in our family! Will be back again!
We had a lovely evening! Great server. Perfect amount of attention and privacy.
Best aracini I've ever had, perfectly cooked steak with great sauces and our waitress was lovely ! Great dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Definitely a must try, you will surely go back again.
Very delicious meal at edit. tonight. We had the Cod and the Schnitzel. Both really good flavours and very fresh. I especially loved the fiddle heads with my dish as they are in season right now. We also had the liver brulee. Very delicious and a perfect size for sharing!
Great place. Food was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. Would happy recommend and go again.
We went for the mothers day brunch and I was expecting a little bit more, especially for the price per person. Arlington has a great reputation and the set up and display was sub par, our tables were uneven with no table cloth, chipped paint on the walls. The room seems tired and likely would have been over looked if everything had been stepped up.
Nice atmosphere and ambiance......food was very good. Lunch special made it very reasonable......will go back!
