Mixed feelings ...despite having a reservation had to wait at least 25 mins for table. ..not a great start. Eventually managed to squeeze into the bar to order drinks.. fabulous cocktails and the bar staff were on top of their game..couldn't fault their service. Paulina was excellent but one of the other wait staff was rude ,slapped our dinner down while we still had appetizers on the table with no explanation before stomping off. Also the same person kept banging into my chair every time he walked past..despite us moving the whole table a foot to give him extra room after the first time he did it. Certainly does not enhance the whole dining experience. The food was very well executed. I appreciated that the blue cheese on the butter lettuce salad was substituted out and both our fish entrees were cooked per our request. The butter sponge dessert was a perfect finale.
Delicious food, one of my favorite meals in tampa
Edison is our Go-to dinner spot to take friends or family to when they visit. Every dish is thoughtful, creative, and incredibly flavorful. Cocktails are fantastic and the service never disappoints!
Fantastic food and well made drinks. Sat at the bar and Brian was excellent.
Edison:food + drink lab is always an adventure in creative menu offerings. Never dull and never disappointing.
Came here for a bachelor party with a large group of people. All of the food and cocktails were amazing. I recommend to come with a group of people because it makes tasting multiple items much easier with a large group.
Surprising combinations of flavors, let yourself be guided by the servers who are knowledgeable and efficient. We had a series of small plates to share, we loved all, but the tuna with avocado and spicy mango sorbet was simply amazing. Loved the place.
Fabulous find!! I ate alone here and was treated like a special guest. The food was artfully presented. But even more importantly, everything was delicious. A celebration of flavors and textures! Really special. This will now me my go-to place in Tampa. Like others--I loved the ahi appetizer. And I loved the che ba mau dessert. I only wish I could have eaten more!!!
It was great we’ve never been there and we loved it.
Always excellent. Our favorite place in town to have dinner.
Best restaurant in Tampa.
Inventive and exciting cocktails from the bar Excellent inventive and delicious entrees and salads One exotic dessert with Vietnamese theme
The appetizers were very good. I think the server and we had a misunderstanding. She asked if were were done with our menus and I thought she would take our lunch orders but walked away. She thought we were only having appetizers and offered to bring us our bill when she came back by. Lunch was ordered and though the appetizers were great the lunch was "okay". I think they're probably better for dinner.
I wouldn't tell anyone to go out of their way to dine here but would suggest stopping by if someone happened to be in the area.
This should be the number one restaurant in Tampa. The food was innovative and everything delicious. We had seven different dishes and two desserts. They were all fantastic.
Was completely blown away buy not only the food, but the servers knowledge and recommendations. Will definitely be visiting again to try out the lunch menu.
Restaurant was crowded as expected so there was a bit of a wait before our table was ready. That was not too bad but there really is not a good place to wait around - you are in the way of people coming through the front door or you end up getting right next to people's tables while they are eating which is a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise once we sat down the experience was great. Drinks were great (I has the pillow talk and bees knees - both fantastic) and the food was superb. I had wood grilled oysters and the snapper while my husband had the steak - both were great. For dessert we had a chocolate mousse dome with raspberries/hazelnuts/pomegranate pearls and a smoked chocolate ice cream. I did not really get the smoked taste of the ice cream but everything taste wonderful. I will definitely be back.
EXCELLENT all around... service was great, even when they didn’t have the wine we selected, they recommended a more expensive wine at the same price. The old fashioned I ordered was spectacular! The food was perfect- salads both the apple cheddar & octopus were a perfect start... the ham board was interesting and not too filling for a starter. The entrees, an interesting take on chicken and waffles and the duck breast with fried green tomatoes & a fresh corn side were fabulous.. perfectly prepared and unique. Kevin, our server was also great, attendant but not imposing. It was a perfect date night!
Great evwning with great food and drink. The entire party was very happy with everything. We will be back. Duck was amazing.
We loved our meal here, which started with incredible craft cocktails. The server was helpful and friendly and the food was inventive and interesting without being "clever."( I recommend the grouper!) All in all, a fabulous night, and my favorite meal BY FAR that I ate while visiting Tampa.
The food was plated very nicely. We ordered the app yellowfin tuna over an avocado spread, it was delicious! Even better was the big, red tomatoes and burreta. The entree duck was a good shareable portion and the dark chocolate cake was orgasmic. The only oddity was the spicy sorbet on every side.... a little different, but fun to try. Highly recommend reservations ahead of time!
I’ve been to my share of Michelin star reataurants. This meal was one of the best I’ve had. I don’t think I need to say any more. Thanks to everyone at Edison...world-class.
Food was amazing! Service and atmosphere were great! Celebrated our anniversary and had an awesome time!
Our dinner at Edison was the highlight of a recent visit to Tampa. We loved the food and service so much that we returned for lunch a few days later. Karolina, our server, was amazing. The food was delicious.
Took about 30 minutes to get us seated. In their defense, they were very busy with 2 large groups. That being said the food, service and experience was outstanding. One of my new favorite spots in Tampa. We will definitely be back.
Stopped in for the first time for a Sunday lunch before the Straz. The food was incredibly fresh and the combinations on the plate were innovative and skillful. I am anxious to try it again for dinner!
HI have to say the drinks were great . The truffled Caesar awesome . But service a disaster. Our waitress didn’t even tell us the Kitchen was closing we had ordered over 6 appetizers and I still needed to order an entree . When I asked to order my entree she said Kitchen just closed . We were shocked .They were rushing us out . Crammed 5 of us into a small booth wouldn’t even take plates that clearly showed we were done eating . Not to mention we spent $300 tipped 40% even with this horrible service . I guess i am the idiot for always being generous even when service is awful .
Food was amazing! Service was even better, definitely one of my favorite places in tampa
Wonderful as always. Great food and great staff. Nice menu and wine selection. Craft cocktails a specialty.
Amazing, unique food. Flavors I’ve never had before but loved every bite!
I really thought that I would like this restaurant--the menu sounded great. However, my friend and I agreed that the food was mediocre. We each paid over $60 including tip for a three-course meal that we didn't finish, didn't think was worth taking home, and wouldn't bother to repeat!
Overall the food was bland. The fried chicken was dry and needed salt. The poutine was soggy and surprisingly flavorless. The poutine and the chicken and waffles are two of their most popular items, so I expected better. Lastly, the only thing I had that was truly good was the butter cake. My friend and I agreed on this too. However, the meal definitely wasn't worth it overall.
Beautifully crafted preparations and flavor combinations make for truly unique dining. Chef Pierola is top of the game not only for Tampa, but anywhere.
Extremely well cared for, the environment was casual chic, noise well managed so one could enjoy a quiet discussion with their dinner companion.
Dinner and drinks were unique and delightful! Cant wait to return.
Loved the creativity of the chef. Our server was attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Will definitely return soon!!!!
We had a great experience! We had friends from Nyc and they said it was good as any trendy NYC restaurant. Every plate was really interesting and the cocktails were great, too!
We enjoyed the food. Only thing was the price for the oysters where high for there size. It also noisy we sat down the hall by the Barhroom.
We visit Tampa once a year and look forward to our annual visit to Edison. Always a highlight of our trip! The food was fabulous, and Karolina and the rest of the staff provided excellent service which included spot on wine and dining recommendations . We think the butter cake is our lifetime favorite dessert, and we’ve been around over half a century!
Great selection of thoughtful items. Delicious and creative. The staff is amazing!
Chef Jeanie continues to look for and find ways to improve, despite having earned her stripes a long time ago. Sarah, the sommelier, is very professional and bright, a most welcomed addition. We hope to dine there frequently.
Delicious, creative food. Enjoyed trying new and interesting plates.
Everything about our experience at Edison was perfection. Our server Matthew took great care of us and we never wanted for anything. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We can’t wait to go back!
