Amazing ambiance and service. Haven't been for over a year snd was very pleased to be back!
Unbelievable menu — one of the best meals of my life. Service was wonderful as well. Can’t wait to return!! The steak tartare, the sablefish, the octopus, and the butter cake - PHENOMENAL.
Started dining outside and it began to rain. Staff quickly and efficiently moved us inside. Happy to have this flexibility. Food was great. Our server was friendly and wonderful! We would definitely return.
My Dad and I stumbled into Edison's one day last year for lunch and have been coming back ever since even though we live up by USF. The place has a lot going for it, not least of which is the caring staff, a group educated on the food, not just serving it up. Our waiter was also our bartender and made us some killer cocktails (don't be shy about ordering some pepper laced drinks -- they're the bomb). And the food! Inventive, but not overly "foodie" oriented. Hearty, but not too much. Good good stuff. This latest meal was shared with 4 others not familiar with Edison's and they loved it (thank you for making us look good). Can't say enough good stuff about this place.
service was great. expensive for what you get and taste was mediocre at best. a bit noisy.
Phenomenal food. Great service!
Delicious food, friendly service, wonderful atmosphere! Had the Duck. ❤️❤️❤️
My wife and I were visiting Tampa and read good reviews about edison. We weren’t disappointed. The food and drinks were great, especially the potato-crusted oysters.
The restaurant is beautiful - although could have done without Guy's Grocery Games playing on the TVs throughout the restaurant... Lowered the high-class level they were trying to achieve. It's a little confusing when walking in since it appears the door is on the street but it's actually on the back side of the restaurant. Reservations for 6PM and didn't leave until about 8:30 - service was slow and not properly paced. Requested salads before entrees but they all arrived together. Server (who was also the bartender) struggled to engage with us as he was busy with other tables and the drink service. Food.... You can tell Edison is challenging themselves with their entire menu using a plethora of components with each dish but due to this, they don't come together really well. It fell flat for me overall and I wouldn't return.
This is a most excellent restaurant! The quality and presentation of the food is no less than outstanding. If you are hesitating...Do Not. The waitstaff is professional and thoughtfully playful with the guests....The drinks are top shelf and original
We wanted to try something different and to celebrate my birthday. The reviews made it seem like the place to be. However, our experience was awful! The waiter we had was very impatient, not very helpful, and it felt like he decided we were going to leave before we even knew we were going to leave.
We had a handful of questions about the menu which were met with distain and uneducated answers. Pushing forward we ordered the yellow leaf tuna as an appetizer to test their food. It was not impressive at all! Not worth the price. We left after paying for the appetizer, and went to a new location for dinner.
I would NOT recommend wasting your time or money on this restaurant!
Truly tasty and inspired meal. So glad we shared several plates and had a chance to try several items shout out fir the grilled octopus and tuna.
Fabulous meal and service as always and highly recommend!
Fantastic cocktails, food was just OK for the price.
Honestly the best meal we’ve had in months and months
Service was great!! , food was fenomenal. I really recommend it.
The cuisine was truly international. It had appetizing presentations and excellent taste.
Went for Easter brunch. The food is well crafted and the flavors are of good quality. Fairly priced for the decency of the flavor of food. The whole menu concept is wonderful. I have never been for dinner, but I expect the same goes for that too. Definitely give it a try if you’re looking to introduce some new flavors to your pallet!
The outside seating co
Easter brunch was fantastic. We’ve been here several times and always have a great experience.
Always a great experience, the food and service are top notch. The Red Snapper was delicious!
Outstanding every visit. Each dish is is a work of art.
Over complicated menu - under prepared and seasoned food. Awkward and rude waitress. Pretty much sums up our night.
Inventive menu and reasonable wine list. Cocktails were imaginative. Dessert selections fine but not as wowza as the menu. We ate outside so difficult to judge the ambiance but inside was packed with a very stylish crowd. When asked for advice about the wine our server admitted to no knowledge of whites and did not know who to ask. Big issue in a place that serves such wonderful food. Also no tea served here, what's with that? Not fine dining but definitely fascinating for oldsters. Youngsters will adore the vibe, the IG worthy food, and the prices.
Everything we tried was delicious and their desserts were fantastic
Outstanding steak tartare and Burata. Entrees were very good but scallops were a bit overlooked and I’d prefer a bit more starch.
Jillian, our server was excellent.
Fantastic dinner. Started with the Little Gem Salad. Fresh with a nice flavor profile with the dressing. For an entree I had the Seared Sable fish, which is now the best fish dish I've had in the entire Tampa Bay area. Seriously, I was blown away by it. Savory, cooked to perfection.
Last, I had their variation of a Moscow Mule and it was perfect.
Food could be better in terms o value for money.
This restaurant gives you ALL of the advantages and experience of fine dining in a casual and eclectic environment.
The cuisine is second to none in the bay area and the service is flawless.
Always enjoy Edison's. Food is fresh and well prepared; staff is friendly and efficient; and great social distancing inside and outside. Potato crusted oysters are always fabulous. It is such a pleasure to fine a great place to eat, especially with safety precautions implemented during the pandemic.
Got the oysters (cooked) as an app, and shared filet, scallops and red fish- all were lovely.
Our server was phenomenal with the wine pairings and a great time was had by all.
Very innovated and interesting
The fried oysters are a hit
We had a nice cheese board and then the red snapper which was very good abd an Asian style chicken.
The entrees were a bit complicated for us
Staff very nice
Restaurant is out of the way and I’m wondering why it wasn’t very busy on a Saturday night - I think it’s because of location
Only problem was a vodka drink I sent back because it tasted of just water - explanation was bar tender used a shaker with left over water from another drink
Very strange has never happened to me before
I would return but it would never be on my regular list
The food was fantastic! Was not impressed with the bartenders skills, had to send one drink back and the second drink wasn’t right either but kept it and just moved on. Paper menus which are fine especially with the ever-changing menu at this location however they slide them into cheap plastic sleeves that you have to remove the menu from to read anyway so not quite sure what the point is. Just seems a little cheesy.
Fantastic experience at Edison. The food and drinks were all impeccable as well as the service. Can’t wait to go again!
Diverse menu and drinks, that were all good. Sadly, I was not blown away. Would come back for drinks and apps.
Food was interesting and expertly prepared; service was outstanding.
Between the outstanding service and the food we could not have had a better dining experience in Tampa!
Good dinner and evening on the back deck.
