Edible Matters creates an approachable, honest food experience using high standards in product, training, and service. Our goal is providing responsibly sourced meals to the community and to be a leader and innovator in a new emerging Nova Scotia food scene. We want to push your boundaries and create new comforts, while providing variations of the comfort foods we have grown to love. We will be unique in experience and delivery of our product, while consciously choosing local and seasonal quality farmed products whenever possible. We very consciously chose the name of our brand from the outset. If it matters to our customers, it matters to em. We make it a priority to buy local and this way we help support our local economy and can provide fresh quality meats and vegetables. Our open kitchen allows the public to see how their food is being prepared and allows our kitchen staff to show off their trade.

We met another couple for dinner and took advantage of the date night menu offer. The waitress was fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. I had steak and it was quite enjoyable.

We had a wonderful experience! The restaurant was very beautiful and so quiet. I mis read the menu and they re made my food for me, which was very appreciated! Overall we loved our experience and will be back again. Recommend to anyone both meat and non meat eaters!

My family was there for the 4 o’clock sitting. We were a party of 6. Jill was our server and she was fantastic! I will recommend em to everyone! My sister and I have started going once a month and enjoy the lunch atmosphere! Food was fantastic as well. Was nice to have an early choice as we are not big on and staying up late to celebrate! We were home in our Jammie’s for 7:30

The brunch was great and our server a delight. My only suggestion would be to mark the gluten free options on the menu.

Food was fabulous. Service was exceptional. One of the members of our party did find a hair in their food this was quickly addressed & the food was replaced. I would have expected a bit of a discount on that but overall was a good experience.
