   Food was good but it expensive. Decided to take my wife out for a date night (without our three kids) and fellow patrons had babies crying q a dog barking. Ceasar salad was good but small. I would not pay $6 for it again. Dinner meals (fried plater and crab cakes) were good, but overpriced. Our waiter hardly checked on us. My wife was waiting to ask for more tartar sauce but he never came to check. By the time he did, my wife finished her meal. The Google reviews were extremely high and we decided to go here based on them. I would never pay over $100 for a meal for two at this place again.

   We had not eaten here in a long time. Not sure why, especially since it was TERRIFIC! All 4 of us loved our meals. I had Maple Chicken and can't wait to go back and have it again.

   Food was great. Always worries about things being too crowded and slow but this place was working so hard to get us drink and food at a good pace. Our server Dillon was so great. Our new favorite South Port place! Oh and the blueberry cheese cake was unreal. Best cheesecake I’ve ever had.

    We have been here many times now and have found EACH visit amazing! Service is wonderful! Food is always fresh and the menu offers everyone something to enjoy! The view is wonderful- when the weather cooperates :) . Just a great, nice, friendly place to dine!

    We had an incredibly good dinner there last night! Everyone loved their food: burrata and beets, fried green tomatoes, mahi, scallops, salmon, crab cakes …! All outstanding!! To top it off, our waitress was as kind and gracious as could be! She leaned in and asked if we wanted to move because we were seated next to a loud, larger group and encouraged us to tell her if we wanted different sides with our entrees than what was listed. She said she wanted us to have exactly what we wanted!! Such a delightful night! Not cheap, but gosh, it a was worth it!! Can’t wait to come back again!

    Our experience with Edgewater is consistently positive. Last night our server was excellent- attentive (but not too attentive). She knows the menu inside out, and was very pleasant even when she got very busy. The food was delicious and the presentation was lovely. The dining room was comfortable, attractive and the noise level was very manageable. All of our meals were cooked to perfection and hot when served including the fried platter, the cioppino and blackened mahi.

    Food took over an hour to prepare. I got the special which was the Mahi. The fish was good but rice was undercooked and dry. Bok choy was very plain. Had gift certificate for $150. Was only able to use $125 because restaurant puts a 20% hold on the card????? whaat?

    My mom and I always enjoy dining on the patio at Edgewater 122 when we visit Southport, and it's so convenient to be able to make a reservation in advance. We love this restaurant's ambience, hospitality, and cuisine. We both tried the seaside Cobb salad this time, and it has become a new favorite menu item. Our sweet waitress, Haleigh, was attentive and efficient. We'll be back again soon!

    Such an amazing little spot! The appetizers were killer and the portion size is very generous across the menu. I didn’t feel like anything was overpriced as it all tasted amazing and of high quality! Our server was so nice and attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu and handled our party of 6 without missing a beat! I saw in some other reviews that this place can get really loud/crowded but we went at 5 for early dinner and it was perfect. Not too loud and had an amazing view of the water. Would definitely recommend! Personal favorites from the menu were the bread app, the hot pimento crab dip app, and the scallops as an entree. My mom and sister also raved about the lobster bisque!

    My husband and I were seated inside by the bar, which is what we requested. That room opened up to the kitchen, which was rather distracting during dinner. The view of the inlet is beautiful. The bartender came over, put down our menus and took our drink order. He went back to mixing drinks. Then he came over to take our order without telling us the specials, and we had to ask. He seemed in a hurry. He brought my husband’s martini over, which was delicious and that is the last we saw of him Another waiter brought our fried green tomatoes and tuna with seaweed appetizers. The green tomatoes were advertised with crab meat, but it was a minimal amount. They were over priced at $16 each. Then we had to ask the hostess to bring us water. She had another waiter do that. The waiter said she would bring us a pitcher but never did. Then another waiter brought our meal. My husband ordered the cioppino for $32. It was unlike any cioppino we have ever had. It had a thick gumbo-like sauce, and was very salty. I ordered the farroto which was delicious. The hostess came over and asked how our meal was, and we told her about the cioppino. She offered to bring something else, but we did not want to wait. We finished dinner and sat while we waited for our check, but no one ever came. We finally stopped the bartender who was taking drinks to another table and asked him for our check. We really never had an actual waiter the whole time, and it was not very enjoyable
