None of our food arrived on time. Our entire table ate at a different times. The cheese and meat tray was almost the last to arrive and nothing on it had to be cooked. (very confusing) I could understand if the place was packed but at the time we ordered our food there was only a few tables occupied. So not sure what was happening in the kitchen. 3 of our glasses were dirty and there was something floating in my drink. Our server was attentive but nothing he could do about the wait on the food. The portions were small as the menu indicated which left us hungry and let down.
We sat outside next to live music. Performer was great! Drinks were made well and strong. Our appetizer never came out but our wonderful server was quick to make it right! Will be back.
Food was outstanding for a light dinner and drinks. We sat outside in the enclosed area. It was a little noisy with the music and conversation but tolerable.
Drinks were great! Food was weird! The potato purée was literally instant mashed potatoes, the tomato jam was spaghetti sauce. It all tasted like it was something you’d throw together when you need to go grocery shopping. 😵💫
food sucks but it’s a cute place
Took 15mins for the waiter to take our drink order.. I incredibly slow service. Sub-par tapas quality.
Our waitress was fantastic! The food and drinks were great as well. It was a really great place, and it was beautiful outside on the patio.
We waited at our table for quite some time. They brought us water and I ordered a drink from the bar which took 15 minutes to arrive. We had to have our waiter hunted down twice even though I could see him from across the bar watching TV and talking to other employees. The food is very small quantity but very delicious.
Overpriced small amount of food. One and probably only visit.
Great pick for a night out. The service, food, and overall experience was amazing.
Food was awesome….wouldn’t go if you were really hungry!!! Service that night wasn’t poor.
Great vibe, cool venue, but the food was uninspired. The buns for the beef sliders were dry, the charcuterie was average at best. The pork nachos were excellent. The drink prices are more in line with Atlanta. Menu needs some work,
Service was terrible - we waited 10 minutes before a server came to our table, then he came back twice and left before we could order a starter.
My son and his girlfriend used the reservation and they had a wonderful time! They were treated so kindly and absolutely loved the food and the experience.
Wonderful views and very comfortable. Great music and good food. Fun place.
Amazing. I did lose my wallet it was a small blue wristlet but I don’t hold the restaurant accountable so. If anyone’s seen it let me know
Great service, nice space, yummy food. Will be going back.
Had a great time holding a birthday event there for our daughter. The adults had one table in the covered area a “safe” distance away from a picnic table of teenagers- lol. The staff helped me plan how this could work over the phone a few days beforehand. They kept the cake cool until we were ready to serve it. We even got the band to sing happy birthday! Everyone had a great time!
The space is amazing. The energy, music, and outside seating was really enjoyable. The food tasted good, but lobster and mayo served on a two-bite bun, and 5 small pieces of potato with onion and mayo for $18.00, was not worthy of being called a Lobster Roll. The 3 shrimp grilled prefectly, and topped the salad.
Great music and wonderful service! Love the outdoor games and seating.
The waitress was amazing. She told us when we sat down that it was more of a tapas place. I feel like that should be advertised. Not something you tell someone when they are already there. We were told the plates were meant to get several items to share. The portions were so small there’s no sharing. The guacamole was brown. I asked for something fresh, they brought out more guacamole that was brown and said the spices they use make it brown. The slides were raw and the blue crab dip tasted like air freshener. The Imaginary Friend drink was described as as a sweet strawberry drink. It tasted like pine tree. The atmosphere outside looked great but we were placed inside. Won’t be back.
We have been to Edgar's Grille and enjoyed the food there and Edgar Above Broad has a better ambience. I love the location of the restaurant. Food was fine, but be aware that they are of a smaller portion. Great for large group where everyone can share the different things on the menu.
Love this place for the atmosphere
First time here, atmosphere was great and they had live music, which was fantastic. I would not recommend coming here for dinner.. just drinks and apps, unless you want to experience small portions of decently prepared food at a higher price. Portions are smaller, which normally I don't mind, but as far taste, quality and options, it wasn't spectacular or worth the price. Environment is great for cocktails and light dining, but be prepared to either eat before eat after.
So where do I begin. Let's start with the restaurant layout. This is by far one of the coolest and trendy restaurant layouts in the CSRA. The oversize checker board and corn hole games. The look over Broad Street is definitely nice.
Now let's talk about the food! Nope! Let's not.
The food was subpar at best. I had the jerk chicken with coconut rice and peas. I ordered two orders because the waiter said they were small plates. My wife ordered scallops, which was a really small plate. Though it wasn't under the small plate list.
They have to do better! To have the name Edgars in comparison to the food from the other one on Washington Rd is night and day according to my wife.
I was truly disappointed. Especially it being my wife's birthday. My hope is when we try again some day, the food will be better and have more flavor and do something more on portion size. Small plates that are good, people can live with the price, but bad tasting small plates just makes you mad!..LOL 😂 If I were gonna give it a score 2 out of 5 stars!
Didn't realize food portions were so small compared to the price. Drinks were great!
Atmosphere was amazing, food and service was not.
The food and drinks were good, but the music was so loud we could barely keep up a conversation.
Weird tapas style menu/ plating. Food is definitely overpriced but tasty.
The tapas plates were largely pretty good, but the service and atmosphere were what made the experience. Our server was fantastic and the outdoor setting and live music just made the whole experience great.
Very expensive food and you get very little to eat and I was not impressed with the food at all the meat and cheese platter Was so skimpy it was ridiculous the lobster roll which was the expensive the lobster was good the roll it wasn’t very good again very very expensive and very little food
1st time at Edgars Over Broad. Had not realized most selections were small plates. Wife and I are not large eaters so didn't concern us. Food was excellent, I recommend to anyone but might want to review the online menu first.
The restaurant was nice and clean. Our waitress was very friendly. The food was a little hit and miss. Some plates were very good while others were not very good. They had live music at 7pm, unfortunately we left just prior. The plates were a bit pricey for the portion you received.
Everything was amazing, I would highly recommend this place. Thank you the great service as well.
The food was very good but the portions were very small and expensive. The waiter forgot to turn in our order for our entree and asked us if we were ready for check and brought desert before we got our entree. When I asked to speak to the manager, she just said she was sorry and would get our food out as quickly as possible.
It was my first time there and possibly my last.
Wait staff were excellent as is the venue. We didn’t know it was a tapas restaurant as we didn’t see it noted on the menu online or in print. Spent $18 on a lobster roll and got literally cut in half a roll with lobster and it had a weird taste, not like a traditional lobster roll. Crab dip needs work. I make better. Steak was about 4 oz and also was around $16! Good flavor though. Overall food was so so and we won’t be going back.
The food and drinks here were all wonderful! This place is a hidden gem!
The food was not impressive…the waiter spilled a drink on me at the table did not try to clean it up…..I was just asked if I was ok and when I said no he just laughed and left the table.
My favorite place to go, unfortunately last night, the service wasn’t the best.
Wanting to try rooftop dining for fun change. We loved the ambiance, and even for late July, they kept it fairly cool outside. The food, except for the nachos, was not good.Pork sliders way
too spiced and Waygu beef overdone. Server took forever to take our drink order and even longer bringing them. Then my least favorite for wine service, ESPECIALLY sparkling wine, wide-bottom stemless glasses. It’s hot, your hand is hot. That is a no no. I graduated culinary school and worked in our school’s restaurant. We never sat down to chat with diners while other diners were waiting for food or drink. Average food and poor service. Hostess was great.
