Now well into our third decade in business, Eddington’s attributes the restaurant’s success to creating flavorful and creative meals consistently using the best of Huron County’s bounty.
Owner James Eddington states “we are so blessed to be living in such an agriculturally rich area of the world”.
Although the local food movement is really starting to take off, it has always been the driving force in Eddington’s kitchen. A menu that changes frequently, as each season inspires the delicacies our region has to offer.
Eddington’s occupies the original Carling homestead (built in the 1870’s). After two major renovations, an addition of the a new dining room and a serene outdoor backyard summer patio, the restaurant has a clean and modern look while maintaining its traditional and warm feel.

    Once again, we had wonderful meals on the beautiful patio. The trout was delicious as was the chicken with brie. We started with a garden salad to ensure we had space for an amazing dessert. The live music in the background was very pleasant and still allowed us to have a conversation. The staff is always very welcoming and professional. There are private dining rooms upstairs. I would love to have a close circle of friends come together for a private dining experience, one day. I highly recommend Eddingtons.

    As always, I enjoyed my dinner on the patio listening to the entertainment. A beautiful evening and the service and ambience was top notch. Love the new bathrooms and access to outside.

    When we arrived, we ordered a bottle of wine, and then a few minutes later our dinner order was taken. My husband's soup (which was delicious) arrived before anyone had brought us our wine. We ended up pouring our own wine. (While not a biggie, part of the reason I go out is to have someone take care of me for a change...) There was no bread or butter. Because I didn't order an appetizer, I sat for over an hour without food, or even anything to nibble on, as the mains were very slow to be presented. My salmon was badly overcooked. To their credit they did not charge me for it. The servers, while very pleasant, were completely disorganized. The music was lovely.
