Eddie V’s – Wildfish – San Antonio
Great first visit! Our waiter was great and the food was delicious!
The service was superb and food was great with the exception of the sea bass—it was a much firmer than expected. Ambiance is loud but environment is still enjoyable. Something is lacking and I can’t pin point it. Color perhaps? Decor is a little bland but the food will keep me coming back!
Great service and delicious food! We will certainly return.
Service was fair..waitress a little too personal. 1/2 shell oysters were bland (out of season). King salmon was very good, a little sweet...somewhat small and overpriced. Lobster mashed potatoes were excellent.
Peach cobbler was ver good.
Thank you for making my girlfriend’s birthday amazing. This was a great memory!
The food is excellent, as usual. I have two comments:
I have to say that inside the restaurant the noise level was too high to us. So we decided to be seated outside. It was uncomfortable because of high temperature weather.
Other observation is that when we finish a meal they bring the new course without taking the empty dirty dishes away.
Excellent Date !!
Another exceptional dinning experience at Eddie V’s Wildfish! Dinning, service, and atmosphere are unparalleled. Not hard to understand why Eddie V’s Wildfish is my favorite restaurant!
Had a great night as usual at Eddy V’s. Food was delicious. Only problem was I did not receive the meal I ordered...I ordered tuna and got the sole. I kept the sole and it was delicious. Not a big deal, we all had a great night and enjoyed our dinner. Will definitely be back😉
I took my wife for her birthday celebration. We were greeted at the door and immediately my wife was greeted with a happy birthday wishes. The manager made his way to our table and also greeted us and told my wife happy birthday. My server Jesus was just awesome! He made sure our drinks were full and offered suggestions on the menu. My wife was beyond words as we tried several different appetizers. They truly made her evening special, even with a complimentary dessert that was delicious. I highly recommend Eddy V’s.
We shared the tuna sashimi appetizer which could be even better with thin crispy crackers and enjoyed our heirloom tomato and apple salads. The scallops were delicious and my husband was delighted with his Parmesan sole. The Rose wine was light and complemented our meal. Plus it was our anniversary so they went above and beyond- decorating our table with rose petals, a personal note, champagne and dessert trio. Thank you Eddy V’s!
First time eating at San Antonio location. The service and atmosphere were great I just don’t think the food was as good as I remember with Austin location. We had Chilean Sea Bass which is normally great but didn’t seem up to par. My son had 8oz filet which was a tad over cooked. Banana foster dessert was probably best thing I had all night. Not sure if this was a location thing, but for the money this visit wasn’t worth it for me.
One of the best restaurants in SAT, undoubtedly. Pricey but worth it
50th Anniversary. Jose took great care of us
I had a great experience at this place. The staff was amazing (specifically Debra, Greg and Steve). The food was delicious and so were the drinks. This place comes highly recommended.
We had to wait a while (15 minutes) before we got our table, I think they were not ready to start servicing but the bar; Is not a big deal, but they didn't let us know how long it would take, so we waited by the door, there is no place to wait, or seat, they didn't offer to wait in a table (outside) or anything else but "wait". Everything else was good, good service, nice place, Similar prices to other places in the same category.
We recently celebrated my wife's birthday at Eddie V's - Wildfish in San Antonio. Everything was super from the moment we walked in the door until we left. Service was top notch. The food was unbelievably good! Salads (Heirloom Tomato and Caesar's) - delicious! Entres (Misoyaki Halibut and Red Snapper) - delicious! Side order (Truffle Macaroni & Cheese) - delicious! Celebration Desert - delicious! The flavors incorporated into these food items were just scrumptious! Hats off to the chefs! This is one of the BEST restaurants in San Antonio.
Me and my wife have come twice to Eddie Vs and both times the food and service were outstanding!!Our sever Alex took care of us both times and I just say one of the best servers I have ever had at any restaurant!! And the food was out of this world from the Ahi Tuna to the Chowder soup and the Filet Oscar and the Parmesan Sole Fish was impeccable !!
We celebrate our anniversary st Wildfish every year and we are never disappointed!
Love this place... slight change on the jumbo shrimp presentation seemed smaller but same great flavor
Our waiter was very attentive and helpful, hats off to him
Noise was beyond acceptable, and despite requesting a table in a quiet area, we were placed in a booth near a party of 12. I have been here so many times for business and family, this was by far the worst. Food was decent, service was fine, but the level of noise and ambiance was not what I was looking for, given that i had again, asked for a quiet table for 3.
We love this restaurant and everything about it. The waitstaff is fun, helpful and professional. The fish and appetizers were delicious.
Great service along with the great food
We came in from out of town. We were running late for our reservation but called ahead and they were so nice. Our waiter, Jose Mendez was outstanding! Everything from the service, appetizers, cocktails, wine, dinner and desserts were the absolute best!
We had calamari and blue point oysters to start with our martinis. Parmesan crusted Sole and filet+lobster for entrees. Then a s'more for dessert. Pricey but so worth it! Can't wait to go back next time we are in San Antonio.
We went to celebrate my husband's 65th birthday. We used to love this place when it was Wildfish! The new menu is only okay as we are not oyster lovers. There were four of us and my Parmesan Sole was great. My husband's halibut was only okay, our daughter didn't care for her red fish, and my son-in-laws filet, ordered medium rare, was well done. Sadly, our crab fried rice was quite spicy which the men liked but the ladies not. And no, we didn't complain to the waitress. Our coffee refills were barely lukewarm so we had to wait for a new pot to be made. The waitress was very good and very nice. But honestly, although this has always been our favorite place for celebrations, I don't think we will return. For the price, which is outrageous in my opinion, we will probably not return or recommend as we used to.
Great food and service! Many seafood options and exceptional flexibility in kitchen with all my wife’s severe food allergies. Above and beyond!
It was a great experience. The seafood was great and the waiter was awesome. Definitely coming back
It was a pleasant evening and we ate outside. Most enjoyable
This place was great. Super attentive staff and very polite. Food was better then expected. Fancy feel but not crazy prices. Awesome dinner for 2 with wine and dessert for just under 200. Ask for the off menu flamed pineapple upside down cake!
Jacob was an amazing waiter, so helpful in knowing the menu and what to suggest for dinner. We will definitely be back.. the halibut was so good!
Great ambiance. Great food. We just both pick up the bizarre vibe of suburbia old fool drunks and "Spot the escort" type thing going on around the bar. As we drove away, we saw an older guy being escorted to his Uber by two managers. 'Not the perfect "night out" spot.
Food was excellent, although the two lobster tails was too much food. Next time we will share the lobster. The added touches for our anniversary was very nice.
The crab cakes are a favourite
Steak was done to perfection
Great place for steak and sea food
Excellent food, service and complete experience for my party of 12.
Quite simply, the food was equisite and the service was excellent.
Food is excellent. We got a waiter that ignored all his tables except for one who he pampered. We spent over $600 at our table and he ignored us most of the night. Served one person at our table then came back for others. Then brought appetizer after main course. Absolutely horrible waiter!
This is one of our favorite celebration restaurants. This visit on a Sunday evening was disappointing. Service was below what we have become accustomed to from this restaurant and I hope it was only a bad night.
Half of our party arrived a little late, so they were never given menus - we had to share.
Food took a long time to arrive between courses.
I ordered the soft shell crab special, but I was only brought half of my dinner with everyone else's meal and promised the other half later. It arrived much later after everyone else had finished their meals.
The service was impeccable. The food was fantastic. I had oysters that were fresh and delicious. My husband had the Texas redfish, also amazing. Definitely a special occasion place.
