Outstanding food and service. Will alter almost any menu item to your palette! Highly recommend!
Overall great service and outstanding management. Made the evening a memorable experience , even with a few hiccups. Always seem to go above and beyond the dining experience. Thanks again for all the hard work
Trying to find something wrong with the service, food, atmosphere, comfort, etc., for this review. It's hard to get a 7pm reservation on Friday? If you are sitting in the section behind the hostess, it's a longer walk to the bathroom? Sometimes it feels like a long drive home because I'm so stuffed? It's hard to get your meal free because your order is always perfect? I feel like I'm reaching here, lol. Eddie V's is our "go-to" place; if you are going to spend that kind of money, why settle for less than perfect?
Service and food was great. Always is!
We had reservations and it took a while to get our table so I was not happy about that but everything else was great
This is usually our “go to” place. We went for a date night, the fish was over cooked. Purchased the Hong Kong style sea bass and the misoyaki halibut. The sea bass was tough and the halibut was completely dry. This is the first time this has ever been the case at this particular Eddie V’s. Usually the fish is cooked perfectly. Even the broth in the Hong Kong style sea bass was different. Not sure if there was a change in a few of the cooks.
We eat here a lot & it never disappoints. The food & service are always great!
My Filet Mignon was a little over cooked not much flavor. My husband ordered Sea Bass and was bland and no flavor. Appetizers were delicious. Service was great.
We really enjoyed our evening at Eddie V's. My only disappointment was that my husband's Chilean Bass was over cooked.
Excellent, the server was excellent, he was patient and very helpful...
Anniversary all great
Perfecte bediening en heerlijk eten. Hadden niet heel veel honger en kozen de zwaardvis. Geweldige steak met avocado en tomaat, afgemaakt met koriander. Top.
Panna cotta na en het was helemaal af.
Excellent food and service I would bring all my friends for a fabulous evening
The food is always delicious! If you have a special event, go here! They do it right and make you feel very special!
Fun date night but not a fan of TV’s with fine dining.
First time at Eddie V’s and we had a wonderful time and experience .. food was great, service was outstanding and we’ll definitely come back !!
Everything was great!
A bit pricy, but glitzy atmosphere, nice selection of food, great service. Great romantic or casual getaway.
Great night out. Definitely our favorite spot!
Always great food and service! Worth the money. Little dark but otherwise a great place and one of our favorites!
Never disappoints! Great food, great service, great ambiance! From start to finish. One of my favorite spots whether for happy hour, an nice dinner out or special occasions.
Food was excellent, as well as the service. Cocktails were perfect and the ambiance was just right.
Birthday and graduate
Couples date night with friends.
I had been to Wildfish for a industry happy hour but had never dinned there. Everything was excellent. Greg was super helpful and attentive and the food was excellent.
Even though this is Eddie V’s now it’s really just still Wildfish. Very high prices for the quality. I didn’t like Wildfish and nothing has really changed. Very pretentious and the food does not meet the expectations.
We had reservations and had to wait awhile for our table. Service and food was great.
The managing partner Chris invited us back for another experience since our last dinner was subpar. What a difference from last time. Chris and our waiter, Alex, were amazing. Service was prompt and friendly. Great food recommendations and the food was delicious. Thank you for inviting us back for another opportunity to see what the place is really about ... a marvelous dining experience. We will definitely be back!!!!
Wonderful selection of fish, lobster and oyster dishes combined with an extensive wine list make this restaurant well worth the prices. Service was also fast and friendly without being obtrusive or over-familiar. We were there for a family birthday celebration and all 7 of us commented on the quality of the food and service. We will be back in the future for other events.
Our food was good, I wouldn’t say great! My husband loved the raw oysters. It was a little too dark but it was quiet enough for conversation.
I don’t write reviews. But....we have eaten at 3 star Michelin restaurants and the food and service at Eddie V’s Wildfish in San Antonio were among the best we have experienced. Our server had been with the restaurant since its opening. She was very knowledgeable, helpful and seemed very proud and happy to be part of the restaurant. The chef and manager made a special point to stop by. Overall a wonderful evening.
We love it! Food was delicious as always! Great service!
Good food, good service, good ambience. Excellent overall!
Branzino was over cooked (dry) and very thin. Crab fried rice had too much soy sauce and butter that's all I could taste. Over powered crab and mushrooms. Crab corn chowder was good but needed just a bit more salt
Entire experience was great! Swordfish was prepared perfectly and the presentation was beautiful. All staff were friendly and fun. We had reservations and had no wait time. Highly recommend ! Don’t forget dessert. Godiva chocolate cake was worth the calories.
We love this restaurant. Its our favorite in San Antonio. I absolutely love the Lobster Bisque and Tuna Tartare. My girlfriend loves the variety of fresh oysters. The wait staff is always polite and respectful. Our favorite server by far is Alex who works at the oyster bar. Please send some appreciation his way. Keep up the good work and we will keep coming back.
Celebrated our anniversary here and the service and food were amazing as always!
Fabulous service, amazing food and attentive staff. I visited the Eddie v’s in Austin last year and made it a point to come to the San Antonio location when I heard there was one, it did not disappoint! For husband and I with a few cocktails our bill was $230 before tip so it is pricy, we had 2 appetizers, 5 cocktails from the bar, 2 entrees, a soup and a dessert. But, it was well worth it! We only go a few times a year due to the cost but I haven’t found better seafood in the city!
From the moment we walked in until we left it was a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter (who looked like Tony Parker) was knowledgeable, friendly, charming and a pro. We all had different types of seafood and it was prepared perfectly. The s’mores cake and bananas foster were both huge hits! It is definitely a winner!
