Our server ASHLEY was EXCELLENT!
This was our second visit to the Eddie V's and we won't go back. After waiting over a half hour over our reservation time, we were finally seated. Then the wait began for our waiter, 15 minutes later we were finally attended to and acknowledged. Definitely NOT what you would expect at a nice higher end restaurant. It wasn't the waiters fault, they seemed to be extremely understaffed for the amount of tables. It was a very frustrating experience, the food took way too long between courses and the noise level was extremely high.
Amazing staff, fantastic atmosphere and great food! Loved meeting the new Managing Partner Trisha...
Nice experience, good food. Very expensive. Couldn't afford to do very often.
I would recommend for a special occasion only. Pricey.
Everything was good with the exception of one of the hostess she was really RUDE to me and my guest because everyone wasn’t there at once BUT MY WAITRESS MELISSA was awesome! Thank you for making my experience great because of you Melissa I will be back
We enjoyed Happy Hour and dinner in the lounge - great food, service and ambiance!
The Big Eddie is AMAZING. The poke has an unexpected curry flavor that I loved! Truly PRIME seafood away from the coast. Service was phenomenal. Mango mule was light and perfect accompaniment to seafood. Godiva chocolate cake was the cherry on top of a magnificent dinner!
It was a fantastic dinner. From the lobster bisque and corn and crab chowder to the sea bass, swordfish and lobster tails it was all wonderful. We also had cheddar potatoes, spinach and mushrooms with snap peas. Every bite was fantastic!
Everything was great except whoever packed my carryout containers spilled half of my crab fried rice in the bag and throw my banana Fosters dessert in the box like it was trash. None of my lids on my to-go containers were on tight. I should know something was wrong when the waiter brought the to-go bag to the table it had food grease stains on it.
The food is spectacular. Seafood prepared with care and precision. Best sea bass I ever had. Cocktails are creative and tasty. Great meal. Great place. Beautifully decorated. A bit loud.
Food was wonderful. Service was very slow and our server was not attentive.
Amazing staff! The ambiance was soft and romantic. My Salmon was dry but was quickly replaced by a more desirable piece upon my request, of course. Overall, it was a nice experience.
Jon was our server and was exquisite, along with his sidekick Moe
Our waitress was busy but would be with us shortly. No one gave us the Restaurant week menu. We had to request it like it was a secret. Our waitress was friendly and I really don’t blame her for the disaster of an evening. Service was slow. The server poured hot soup on my husbands shirt, legs and groin as well. He had to go to the men’s room and clean up. We did not have steak knives to cut our filets. The bus boy filled my ice tea up with water. Our waitress gave us some burn cream which was nice of her. Eventually the manager came over and asked if he was okay and then told us we could make out a report as they have insurance for this. He should have stepped in and offering to take care of the meal and perhaps giving us a coupon to return another evening to give them a second chance. Our waitress said she personally took care of the bill. The manager should have. I did not enjoy my meal and the added attention it brought was embarrassing to both of us. We were going to go out after dinner, but we had to go home as the chowder left a creamy residue on his shirt and pants. I might expect this to happen at a 2 star restaurant but not a 5 star restaurant. I took my husbands shirt and trousers to the cleaners.
Excellent service. The SeaBass was the best
The bone in Ribeye is the best in this area.
My dining experience at Eddie V's was spectacular! My party really had a good time!!
It was my bday
Debbie was great .. attentive, informative, good recommendations. The steaks, sword fish and salmon were delicious. The swordfish was moist and the mustard sauce on the salmon was delicious. A must try is the rice side dish. Enjoyed the evening and will be back
Loved everything.. the purple drink, crab and corn chowder soup, filet and omg the banana foster! Our server was amazing. The bad that night was very entertaining definitely want to come back to hear them again.
Always superb service, food, and drinks at Eddie V's in Troy. We've been numerous times, and have never had a bad experience. The management and waitstaff always bend over backwards to make sure you are treated well. And they usually have a great band playing in the bar area!
Hostess need some work for sure. Otherwise every thing was great
I love the ambiance of this place – the tables were a bit close together so people had to squeeze around us and we were pretty much touching the large table beside us..not a huge deal though. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The lobster tacos were amazing and the bacon wrapped filet was cooked perfectly. My partner finished the sea bass in 3 minutes lol. Service was great!
Overall our meal was good, not excellent; just disappointing because we were eating at Eddie V's. . The service was good but we were not offered refills on our water until the end of our meal. Three members of our party ordered filet and all loved it. One person ordered salmon and the salmon was dry and tasteless. The waiter and manager did visit our table but the person eating the salmon chose not to complain about it. Appetizers, salads, soups and desserts were delicious.
Beat service ever as always we love reasturant week
Our waiter James was amazing. The attention to detail from greeting us with our name to personalizing the meal was awesome. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, the visits from all staff- bussers to management was a wonderful dining experience. Thank you for a lovey spontaneous dinner out!
Not at all the service experience I expect for fine dining and at that price point. I will not be returning. We had a reservation for a large party, yet were forced to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Hostesses were not very accommodating. We were there for a special occasion dinner and I had flowers delivered to serve as centerpiece (I called ahead for that to be noted in reservation notes) but staff struggled to find them and them and then placed them on the table still in the packaging! I had jumbo shrimp which were so coated in bread crumbs that I couldn't really enjoy them...completely overdone. My crab rice was dry. The bread on the table was hard. Our lemon drop drinks were far too syrupy tasting and sweet...did not taste like they were made with fresh juices. Valet took a long time to retrieve our cars (for a lot that is literally right next to the restaurant). Again, I do not plan to return. There are far too many other great fine dining restaurants in the area that better cater to my expectations.
We had a wonderful time celebrating my husband’s birthday. The food and service was amazing. We got a complimentary desert and card for the special occasion.
Very beautiful place! Server was fantastic as was the bus boys! All staff was was very attentive to all needs and the food was exceptional! Highly recommend!
Our first two trips here were great. This time however was lacking. Under cooked steaks, lack of attention from service to timing when we were on a constraint, no acknowledgement for my daughters birthday. Underwhelming overall.
New home purchase
The service was outstanding, our server was excellent. Food was very good.
The only issue was the parking. The bulk parking lot was designated for valet parking, which was nearly empty. We needed to park across the street.
We were here to celebrate my husbands birthday! As usual the food and service was AWESOME!. This is a great restaurant for celebrations.
Service was slow and once some drinks came beers were warm, one flat and they were out of an ingredient for two cocktails. 8 people were there 7 got water..highly salted food and side dish was incorrect. Overall over priced for what we experienced. Disappointing.
Made reservations and still had to wait 30 minutes. Besides that they were still accommodating. My filet migon was over cooked. I just expected more
Waitress and manager were great, food was served cold and some items were not described accurately on the menu and tasted bad, soup tasted of fish oil side dish was spicy with no warning on menu. Steak described as cool in the center was cold everywhere sea bass portion small. Not what we expected, they gave us some of our money back , but that was not really a consolation for a special night disappointment.
Amazing isn’t the word!
We were celebrating a birthday. We had a party of 10 and it was everyone’s first time. The server was very professional, engaging, knowledgeable, and attentive.
The management introduced themselves and checked in on our table to ensure that all was well. Very pleasant. There were a couple meal issues but they were quickly resolved.
We may have found one of new favorite restaurants.
One of my absolute favorite spots! Our server, Phil, was EXCEPTIONAL. My sister loved her extra cold, extra dirty martini, and my THREE glasses of Prisoner were perfection. (And yes, I Uber'd home) For a change, I did not get my fave ribeye, I went with the parmesan-encrusted sole, and it was amazing. Great atmosphere, attractive crowd, lively but not too loud. I am usually in the lounge area and enjoy live music. I was in the dining room, and didn't hear the music; assuming it was happening and that it was fabulous as always. Looking forward to summers on the patio!
The wait staff is fantastic and the food is superb.
