Different from ones in San Diego.
Salty not fresh. Soup is supposed to be hot.
Great food & Exceptional service made for a wonderful night at Eddie V's
From the amuse bouche at the beginning to complimentary champagne to the scrumptious complimentary dessert served at the end, it all combined to a most wonderful evening.
We sat near the bar in a booth next to a really good jazz style band, but the music was never loud enough to disrupt our meal.
Would definitely recommend and revisit
My Mom and Boyfriend had an amazing night of fun, laughs and the best services. Isidora is amazing!
Excellent service, delicious food, great ambience. Actually one of the few steak/seafood place where you can have a conversation. Britney was our server and she treated us so well. Highly recommend it!
Good seafood and steak place in Prudential Center. Nicely designed space. Nice jazz combo in bar.
A bit noisy where we were sitting - difficult to converse across the table. Otherwise, a wonderful experience!
Great addition to the Boston dining scene. Wonderful seafood and steaks and very attentive service. Valet parking is very appreciated.
Wait staff and hosts seemed very preoccupied. Forgot we were waiting to be seated after checking in. Forgot our drinks after ordered and had to be reminded by random employee we flagged down. Didn’t checkin much until I pointed out bottle cap left in my drink. After that they finally asked how we were doing. Didn’t seem too busy so not sure why service was so sloppy. Probably won’t go again.
Unfortunately the service was terrible. Very disappointed since we were celebrating a 40th wedding anniversary. I had called a couple of times to remind them of the occasion, hoping they’d put in the extra effort.
We had been to Eddie V’s in LaJolla and decided to try this new Boston addition before a symphony concert. The food was excellent, lots of variety, superb seafood. Service was efficient and courteous. What we really appreciated was relative quiet. The previous restaurant on the site (Towne) had deafening sound. This was a pleasant surprise.
Expensive but appropriate for quality and ambience. On the whole, good experience.
A very bad experience. An important business lunch was not enjoyable due to the lack of service and the slow food delivery. We told our waiter that we were in a time crunch since he asked about our schedule. Even with this information, we only got our soup after waiting for almost an hour, and the soup was rather luke warm or even cold. Since we never got our entrees, we had to leave the restsurant. It would take a really good experience to offset this visit. I will not select this restuarant if i have other choices.
The food was great and two thumbs up to the manger who took care of us with a little issue We had.
Food was great. We had lobster tacos, beet & burrata salad, and ahi tartare. The maverick cocktail is great. Dinner was sea bass and and a ribeye with lobster mashed potatoes and crab fried rice. Shaina our server was very attentive!
The food was amazing and the service was very good as well. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to many people
We visited on a Monday night 9pm and were pleasantly surprised to learn they were celebrating Prohibition with food teasers (on the house) and craft drinks. All well prepared and delicious. The service was excellent, (Shaina, I believe the name of our server), professional but yet easy to get along, converse and laugh. Overall a good experience. I also learned they have been in business only since early 2019 which may have explained a bit of a slower service coming from the bar or maybe the unexpected Monday rush.
One recommendation, noise control. Throughout the course of our visit we counted up to six occasions where plates, glass, bottles and including the basket of clean utensils by the hostess area were dropped accidentally or not. It was unsettling at times.
All said, dinner was very good. We plan on returning. For this visit we had seafood dishes
Drinks didn’t come out as was advertised online. Entree I ordered should have bokchoy but it looked like it had spinach instead. Dessert s’mores was cold after our server warned us it would be hot. Took forever to get meals out. Entire meal from start to finish was 2 hours and 30 minutes. I had to flag down the hostess to grab my check because I was ready to get out of there.
Very unprofessional at all levels. The table where I was seated had a chair I had to wipe clean myself. I had two waiters within two minutes asking me the same questions. Service from busboys through managers need training. Entre was served with my salad. When I tried to comment on this the waiter tried to make it seem like this is what I had requested. When I complained to management they charged me for the entre I never ate.
And perhaps most telling of all, I received e-mail confirmation that I had dined, had the points awarded, and then when I complained to the manager, my reservation was suddenly marked as a no-show in the system to avoid a bad review. I had to call OpenTable to resolve the issue.
We sat in the bar area, so noise was do to live music.
Was a beautiful restaurant with high-quality food but unfortunately my steak wasn’t cooked properly and took a long time to come back out. The service started out amazing but by mid dinner declined. As it was my birthday and was a special occasion and we were visiting from out of town ended up being a bit of a disappointment. I would’ve thought for a high-end steakhouse that they would’ve taken my steak off The bill but they didn’t do that. They said I got a free dessert because it was my birthday but from my experience eating at other high-end restaurants it was only OK.
25 mins to get a drink and then when we finally got them they were horrible. The appetizers were so incredibly full of salt and lacking flavor we declined to order our entrees. This place is an overpriced Long John Silvers and you’d be better off at Atlantic Fish or Legals.
Food good. Service mediocre. Waiters and staff inexperienced. Dropped dishes and desserts three times. Asked if wanted leisurely dinner yet rushed us. For money spent will not be back.
Atmospher & server were nice. Kitchen must have had a problem w/ an unusual delay in entree prep.
We went on a Sunday evening - so it was a bit quiet, very easy to hear each other.,
My friend and I had a great meal at Eddie V's Boston. Everything was really outstanding, especially the staff. The decor is lovely too. The prices are on the high side, which we knew before we went. I totally recommend this restaurant for any kind of celebration, large or small.
our waiter was not very attentive to our needs and when asking about gluten free items he was annoyed by the questions. shrimp came out mushy and was not good but was taken off the ticket which was appreciated, but very unimpressed by the service. won’t be going back
Visiting my daughter in Boston and took the family out to Eddie V's. While it was not an inexpensive meal, it was excellent. Our server was fantastic and extremely attentive to our every need. Three of us had fish and 2 steak. Everything came out perfectly and the taste was excellent. Also had Brussels sprouts on the side as well as the lobster mashed potatoes (which i highly recommend). We did not realize until the waiter told us that it is owned by the same company that runs Capital Grill (which we also think is quite good.
Great food, friendly service. Ambience was great
This is a review for a later visit at the same restaurant, which the restaurant deliberately cancelled in order to avoid a bad review.
This is a solid choice. Excellent chow and service. Cocktails tonight were perfectly made. Fantastic warm bread w butter. Loved my corn and crab chowder... wife enjoyed her sliced ahi tuna. Filet mignon perfectly cooked an excellent. Served a flaming warm butter cake for dessert w/ice cream.... amazing!
This was my first time at Eddie V and the service was outstanding. I was celebrating my birthday and from the moment the young lady walking me to my table it was superb. I requested to be seating at a booth and without hesitation it was done with a smile in her face trying to rearrange the set up that was made for my birthday. Then came Mikayla who was outstanding. She brought a glass of champagne while I was waiting for my friends. She was friendly, attentive and amazing. Because we waited a little bit, the dining room manager brought us complimentary appetizers. We already planning on coming back and start telling everyone about this memorable night for my birthday. The foods were delicious, our cosmos were one of the best and we dine out every month. Eddie V is one of my favorite place now.
Do not hesitate to dine here. My wife and I celebrated our 35th anniversary while in Boston. Chose Eddie V's because of its menu. We sat at table in the bar and enjoyed listening to the live Jazz Trio. The food was excellent from the appetizers thru the entree and then desert! Can't wait to try the location in Chicago! Thank you Eddie V's for a wonderful celebration!!!!
The South African lobster tail was the star of the night
Excellent service and food
Terrible food ... great service
This location opened pretty recently. We went for an early dinner on a weekday. It was pretty quiet except for the live music in the bar. Had kung pao calamari and fried rice for appetizers. Both were very good. The fried rice is cooked in butter (not the typical sesame oil that I usually have it with). Entrees were also good had the seared tuna and shrimp main dishes. Food and wine is a little on the pricey side, but it was all very good.
The best thing about our dinner was our server Britney. She was attentive, personable and made our first time at Eddie V's a great one.
Both the service and food were poor.
Went to Eddie V's to celebrate an anniversary. The staff set up our booth very tastefully that acknolwedged our celebration. Paul was our server, and he was excellent - very attentive and helpful with menu and drink recomemendations. Our meals were delicious, the atmosphere was great for conversation because we could hear each other! We would definitely go back to Eddie V's again.
Our server was poor. Inattentive, focused on other things, etc. The food was just okay. Huge servings though. I guess that's good if you need large quantities of calories. Very loud. They have music in the bar that they pipe into the dining area.
My wife and I enjoyed our dinner there before the BSO concert. It was our first visit to this relatively new restaurant. Each of us ordered tuna tartare. It was very nice. She then enjoyed her branzino special. We hope it will become a regular item. My bone-in ribeye was very delicious too. Notably, while the restaurant was almost full, it was not noisy and we were able to enjoy our conversation. Our server Paul Jenseth was efficient and very very nice. We will request his table when we return.
Their food is AMAZING! I have yet to have a bad dish there. My faves are the Halibut, the Chilean Seabass, the lobster mashed potatoes and the grilled asparagus. If you decide to treat yourself, the bananas foster flambe is the way to go! Sit at the bar if you would like to enjoy a lively atmosphere with live music, or in the dining room for a more intimate experience. Bon apetit!
