The steaks we ordered were amazing! The calamari appetizer was not good. The wine we got was great! Service excellent. Ambiance is also outstanding! Pretty satisfied with the overall experience!
Just a great place to go anytime or any occasion. Friendly staff and very accommodating.
Celebrating the engagement of my daughter
We order oysters, all of the dozen had no juice on it...
Its the only remark.
Steak was great
This was my husband and my first time here and we would not go back. After being sat, we waited over 20 minuets, no one ever came to our table so my husband had to go to the front desk. Finally, almost a half-hour later, someone cane to take our drink order. Then another waitress came over and said she was taking our table. This was the worst service we’ve ever had at a high end restaurant.. Our waitress was never around, other servers had to get things for us, she never checked to see if our food was good or if we needed anything. It was the longest, irritating 21/2 hour dinner.and we couldn’t wait to get out of there. After all that, you would at least think the food would be phenomenal but it was just good. The overall experience was very unsatisfactory and we will not be going back.
Everything was great. But the table next to us was so loud We couldn’t even Here each other talk.
Food was really good!
Bison Filet. BEST filet I have ever had... Have it with the onions and mushrooms.
Service is great. Bread is yummy. Don't forget - there is a great Happy Hour in the bar and they have a good bar menu too.
My wife and I went for our 5 year wedding anniversary. This was our first time at the restaurant. Our server Eddie was awesome! He really made it a wonderful experience. The drinks, dinner, and desert was all delicious and memorable. But honestly what set this place apart from the other “fancy” steak houses we’ve been to was our server Eddie. He really did pull the entire experience together with his friendly, dedicated, and expert service. I’d highly recommend this place for a special occasion (get the bone in bison or sea bass maxwell style)!
The food was excellent. The service was fine. Five of us dined. Surprised when they brought the bread there were four pieces. Oh well.....for the price, I would have expected more. Very nice interior design.
The food, service, prices and ambiance are excellent. They will endeavor to make any and all reasonable accommodations to your requests and you're treated like a "familiar" friend each time you dine with them at this location. Extensive and varied wine selections reasonably priced.
Far superior to Morton's in every respect, and equivalent to The Capitol Grill and Ruth's Chris, except a more "seasoned" waitstaff and little more pleasing decor than either.
Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable
Excellent Service, fantastic food, low key quiet evening. Wonderful!
Excellent meal and service! Waiter was very attentive.
We came for our wedding anniversary. We were seated right at our reservation time. Staff very friendly. Food was good--big portiions have to share. We did wait a little too long for our main entree and head Host did apologize even though we did not complain and dining room was not packed. Overall it was a good experience!
Service was outstanding. Fantastic dry aged bone in filet. Good wine selection. Will definitely be back. Be prepared to open the wallet. It's not cheap but definitely worth it.
Excellent food, excellent service, but be prepared to have an unlimited budget - it gets very pricey very quickly. We had a wonderful evening there celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and had a bit of a sticker shock but did not regret choosing Eddie Merlot’s as the place to celebrate such a special occasion.
We were seated promptly arriving at our reservation time. We found the entire team of Eddie Merlot's welcoming and were passionate to us having an enjoyable experience. Excellent food and service. This restaurant is good for any occasion. Bar beverages were well crafted and promptly delivered. Appetizer - Barbeque Shrimp were spectacular - entries Trio of Filet Mignon Medallions and the bison filet both prepared per order and excellent flavor - sides - Eddie’s Scalloped Potatoes were a work of art and cooked as well as they appeared. Dessert - OMG - Peanut Butter Cup & fresh coffee with Bailey's - we will be back !! And yes this restaurant can be in the expensive arena but your experience will be well worth it. thank you eddie merlot's for a memorable evening.
Have been to Eddie Merlot's several times before. As always, great service. Only comment /minor complaint would be that it would be great if their menu selections were more varied.
We have been to Eddie's several times and had wonderful meals. The ambience is exquisite and casual and the steaks, elk, bison were very good. Will be returning.
Excellent food and service . Our waiter was Eddie ,he and the rest of the team was very welcoming . The restaurant was kid friendly and ideal for any occasion .
Our server, Jim, was a delight as usual! This guy knows professionalism and is truly knowledgeable about wine, food and cocktails. You won’t go without if Jim is your server. Tableside filet for two is second to none! Wow!
Our son recently moved to Pittsburgh and we decided to have Easter dinner near him. Eddie Merlot's was the perfect fit for all of us. Dad got his French Onion Soup, Grandma got her Scallops, I got my Filet Mignon, and our son got his Ribeye. All were done to perfection but perhaps the biggest surprise, was the incredible salad offerings that go well beyond the norm. I had their Merlot Iceberg salad that was topped with cherrywood bacon, chopped eggs, gorgonzola crumbles, and the tastiest tomatoes I've had in a long time, all with an excellent bleu cheese dressing. Absolute perfection! Seriously their salads are a meal in themselves. My husband also commented that the French Onion soup was some of the best he'd ever had and that's saying a lot considering he's sampled several French Onion soups through the years in some of the finest dining establishments across the U.S. and in Europe. In all, Eddie Merlot's made for a very enjoyable and satisfying Easter dinner for us all. We'll be back again.
This is our third year having Easter brunch at Eddie Merlot's - they wow'd us so much that they stole our usual reservation from the Grand Concourse, no easy task! We dine here regularly and have come to expect high quality in every aspect.
The Easter brunch menu has always been fantastic, and this year they exceeded expectations with some new additions. Our 9 and 11 year olds feasted on their offerings, especially the lamb. They called everything they tried 'perfection' We wholeheartedly agreed.
Easter brunch was really good. The only thing we noticed is the good is unsalted.
We came here for Easter brunch and will probably be back again next year. There was a very wide variety of food at a number of different stations. We liked everything, and the lamb (carving station) was a particular favorite. The servers were attentive with drinks, removing plates, and answers to our questions. We never felt crowded or rushed, in spite of the capacity crowd.
We had a great experience at the Easter Brunch. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, as always!
Easter brunch was excellent! Food was changed out frequently on the buffet table, so always fresh and hot. Wait staff was great! So was the bottomless mimosas!
Easter brunch was amazing!! We will be back next year for sure! The price was average for a holiday brunch but the food selection was wonderful well worth it!!
The Easter Brunch options were extensive. Unfortunately, many of the entrees were cold -maybe the turnover for the buffet was not quick enough and most of the hot foods were tasty but would have been great if the temperature was warmer. Both quiche and frittata were barely warm, french fries were cold and the same for the lamb chops. The displays were beautiful and the staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The cold seafood options and salads were delicious.
I would not hesitate to visit again for a served meal.
The Easter Buffet at Eddie Merlot's is absolutely fabulous!! The selection and attention to detail is bar none. Thank you, EM for a wonderful Easter.
Food and service was outstanding.
Outstanding brunch for Easter. So many different foods and desserts. Eddie Merlots service was amazing and can’t wait for Mother’s Day brunch
Wonderful service, terrific food and great atmosphere.
Shenna is fantastic!!!!!
Absolutely perfection from start by Colleen, service by Eddie,Sara,Christy, meal prepared by the chef all way to finish. Fiance' wanted shrimp scampi over pasta, which is not on nenu, but chef fixed it,plus 1 togo. Talk about AWESOME service Keep up the great job!
Had a wonderful evening food was excellent and our server Eddie was the best.
The food is priced to be special and did not live up to meeting expectations. Had bone in filet and lobster tail. The filet was average and the lobster dry and tasteless. Service was good and we do not complain about our meal, although we saw others complaining about their meals. Unfortunately we will not return for dinner.
Enjoyed Dinner, food was great and service as well. Thank you for a great birthday dinner.
Had a great experience from start to finish. My wife and dined there for our 11th anniversary. The moment we arrived we were greeted with a Happy Anniversary from the hostess and an Anniversary card signed by the staff. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. Our food was absolutely perfect. We were also surprised with a complimentary creme brûlée.
Great place to celebrate an anniversary.
Birthday evening out.
