Good was very fair
Meat was all over cooked- ordered medium was well
Crab meat was shredded not lump
Potatoes cold and over cooked
Ceased salad was served with shredded romaine?
We had dinner outside on the patio and it was perfect! Out waiter Gordon was terrific!
I can’t think of one thing our server, Gordon, could improve upon. The food and service was so good that we’re returning in two weeks. The only complaint would be the noise level. The people at the table next to us were extremely loud. In Europe the Americans are known for being too loud and I agree with that sentiment. However, the food was excellent as well as the service. We will return many times. Our new favorite restaurant.
Another great meal at Eddie’s. Great selection of wines by the glass - try the Quilt Cabernet, it was excellent. This time I had the bison ribeye, which was phenomenal.
Waiter was great and helped us pick the right type of steak. Food was delicious!
Service and surroundings were excellent. Staff knowledgeable. I am not a beef eater therefore did not appreciate the food as much as someone else may have. Sea bass was tasty and cocktails were spot on.
We had a great meal and the service was pretty good. The appetizers and sides were great and the steaks were all cooked perfectly. The desserts were great as well. Best meal we had been to in a long time!
I ordered the wagyu ribeye and couldn’t tell the difference between that and a 20 dollar Kroger ribeye. I’ve watched tons of tv and was really looking forward to it, but had grizzle in it and wasn’t as tender as I believed a 100 dollar steak to be. Oh well
Lovely dinner in bar area which was a bit loud. Service was excellent but I had a hard time grabbing the waiter so we could pay the bill and make it to our show. I will budget more time next time.
Wonderful as usual
Excellent food ambiance and service. Kelly wS our server and she was phenomenal
Excellent steak and fish dinners. Good Happy Hour.
Excellent service, excellent food. Beautiful restaurant with a kind and attentive professional staff, perfect for a special occasion, business meal or happy hour. Stop by to see Mike at the bar, he can make a cocktail for any taste.
Thank you for wowing our guests with coffee.
Dinner as always was amazing even though we went simple with the filet Del Mar and a bison filet. Mac n cheese and Brussels are always perfect sides. Anything with bacon is amazing. The cinnamon bun alamode is always a good finisher to share.
Our Anniversary Celebration at Eddie Merlot's was wonderful. We loved every moment of our dining experience.
Food is always great as is the service. The decor...please tell them it's not 1987
Had another wonderful dinner here, steaks were done to perfection and the sweet potato soufflé was outstanding!
Our waiter Armindo was outstanding and attended well to our needs even making a special cocktail request that was done perfectly!
This was the first time we visited and were extremely impressed with the service and food. Best steak we have had in the city!
My wife enjoyed her meal but I made the mistake of beli
Food is always delicious. Top notch service by Pat.
Quite enjoyable as always! Highly recommended! We are never disappointed when we dine at Eddie Merlot's!
Excellent food excellent waitstaff beautiful atmosphere portions were large perfect place for a special occasion
Great atmosphere..and fantastic service! We will definitely be back!!
Food was very good. Busy night so the service was a little slow, but that was okay as it gave us time to talk and people watch at the Arts Festival.
The food was very good for the most part. Medium steak was a bit overcooked, but it wasn't a big deal. The waiter was very nice, but he paid a lot more attention to a larger table, so since there were only two of us we were put on a back burner. We had to wait for quite a while to place our orders while other table (that had already received their food) was getting all of his attention. I do understand that that table offered a much higher tip potential, but there has to be a middle ground where everyone gets a reasonable amount of attention.
I took my sister to dinner and a show for her birthday. It was a great evening. Dinner was spectacular.
I took my boyfriend there for his birthday and it was both of our first time at the restaurant. The food was amazing and he said it was the best steak of his entire life! The lobster Mac n cheese was so flavorful and creamy. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was perfect. We really can’t say enough fabulous this about our entire experience and cannot wait to go back again!!!
Tera is terrific!
Wonderful food, excellent staff, friendly and helpful service! We travel to Pittsburgh often and will be back!!!
The food and service were outstanding. I've dined here many times for lunch and dinner and this past visit did not disappoint.
First time we dined on the Bar side and we loved it! Low key atmosphere and great service.
I have to say our server was more then great and the food was very good....however, ambiance is extremely important too. I requested outdoor dining for my party of 6 in my reservation. We were seated, on a beautiful evening, inside, at a table behind the entrance/hostess desk, in a DARK section of the restaurant. When I asked why we were being sat in the dark and not outside I was told there were no tables to accommodate 6 people...humm, I made a reservation a few days ago...you folks cant plan ahead. The restaurant has a huge section with large windows, you would have thought that if that were true, management would have made the effort to reserve our party a table in the " windowed " area at the least...but no, we sat on a beautiful evening in a dark section of the restaurant. Food was not that great that I would choose to stay and dine in the dark again when there are so many great alfresco options in Pittsburgh. I only reserved at Eddie Merlo because it was close to our venue...the Arts Festival...I'll walk the extra block to the Market Square restaurants next time.
Wonderful place to spend your Birthday. It was my second visit.
Eddie Merlot's use to be very good but I was disappointed by the quality of food I received. I had a seafood cobb salad and the lobster was very soggy and mushy. The signature bread before the entrée was not warm.
My wife ordered 7 oz filet medium rare plus but she felt it was over cooked plus she order bernaise sauce and this time it came already on meat every time in the past it was brought on the side
We ate at Eddie Merlot' for the first time about two months ago and had a delicious dinner. I was really looking forward to eating there again. I was very disappointed. The food was awful. The salmon was under cooked and the salad was scrubby. I can't believe we had two such different experiences at the same restaurant. I hope Saturday was just an off night for them. We spent $130 for a meal we didn't enjoy. I won't be returning any time soon.
Tha ‘All you can eat King Crab Legs’ was a great meal to celebrate our Anniversary. The Crab Legs were delicious and plentiful. However, our idea of King Crab Legs was not the same as Eddie Merlot’s. They were on the small side, however, you can eat as many as you want. The Scalloped potatoes were outstanding! Fresh bread was delicious. And the Cinnamon Roll with vanilla ice cream was a delicious way to end the meal. We each had a flight of red wines, which was pretty good for the price. Service was spotty! As the evening got busier, we did hardly saw our waiter. A Manager finally took our dessert order and had our table cleared. We were in no hurry, but we did sit around for awhile. The Restaurant is beautiful and despite being crowded, the noise level was low. We enjoyed the evening and would go back and try a Steak!
90 th birthday. All went splendidly.
Gordon always makes us feel special.
Came back after an aweful Xmas eve dinner there and we couldn’t have been treated better. Staff was amazing and absolutely made up for the prior experience.
I do think the steaks have a ways to go to compete with Ruth’s Chris tho.
Value is the true grade. Simply wasn’t there. Seated someone in our anniversary reservation after telling us to wait at the bar. Just an accident but should be noted. Food over priced. Good but not anywhere near what’s expected in that price range. We had a decent time but not by the means of the establishment.
