If overpriced, small portions are your idea of a nice dinner, eat here. $44 sea bass was about a 3oz filet over a few thinly sliced carrots. Filet special was soaked in a salty sauce ruining the flavor of the beef. Good wine list but was way overpriced compared with restaurants in the area. We will not return.
My husband and I eat out quite often but this is our first time to Eddie's, we we're pleasantly surprised. Everything from the bar, waiting for our reservation, to our wait staff, dinner - which was absolutely excellent - and atmosphere. We were so happy we tried here instead one of our old stand-bys and will definitely be coming back.
Food was delicious! Sat close to the kitchen and near a column. Not optimal seating but meal and service were good.
Went to celebrate an anniversary. The service was impeccable. The steaks excellent, sea bass ok, and side dishes very good. It was pricey. Teen and tween grandchildren were treated like adults. That was very much appreciate. We would dine there agan, but definitely for a special occasion.
The night for my wife and I was as close to perfect as you can get. Starting with our wait staff Aaron and Deshaun we were put at ease and comfortably educated on the menu and drink options . The filet wantons were amazingly flavorful and beautifully presented. My wife enjoyed the Berry White martini while we finished our app and anticipated the crab and corn chowder which did not disappoint. The fresh bread had the perfect soft middle and outer crunchy crust. I was impressed both with the cooking and flavor of my bourbon ribeye.....flavor that made you want to eat slowly to enjoy the complex taste. My wife had high praise for her entree of Arctic Char. It Was rich but balanced and again prepared to perfection.Our side dishes were not just an accompaniment but a compliment to the meal. Thanks again for the friendly attentive service and thanks to all at Eddie Merlot’s for a great night of dining. See you soon!
The food was mediocre and overpriced, but the service was excellent.
Very disappointed starting with the waiter trying to "upsale" and seeming disappointed when we did not want to spend $99.00 on the recommendation to not buying a $200 bottle of wine. Food was very disappointing and would say I get a better steak at Outback! My second time here and I will not be back too many great restaurants in Louisville to dine at this restaurant.
I loved this place. The steak and Mac and cheese was out of this world. The service was exceptional. We tried the steak combo of the Fillet mignon and the New York strip. Totally worth it!
Our group attended a training session in Louisville. Some of our group was meeting for the first time!! We had a blast. Our server Lindsey Wilerson was just amazing!! She was energetic, enthusiastic, knew the menu and all the options we could choose, she even recommended specific dishes after she got to know us and spoke to us. She was very attentive and kind. Chris Coorts the Head Chef came out to greet us as Lindsey told her what a wonderful group we were. She was so sweet and appreciated our compliments on her food!! It was just amazing.. the entire experience was wonderful. And to top it off it was Valentines Day.. even though we were not with our significant others.. our group of ladies were embraced by all that served us that evening and made it so enjoyable. I can't thank you enough for the time and effort that was put into making us feel very special!! Very good overall. Once we were seated there was confusion along the staff about who would be serving our table. We had a bit of a wait to order based on this confusion. My wife’s steak (filet) was a bit overdone and flat. To be fair, she ordered it medium well and did not want it butterflied, so it is difficult to get this done with just a slight link center.
My wife and I tried it for valentine's day. Food was excellent, and Jacob provided top tier service. The restaurant itself has a great art-deco theme to it, but all those hard surfaces do make sound carry. If you have the opportunity - the booths around the edges make conversation easier than a table in the middle. Other than some quibbles with the background noise, there's very little to criticize here.
Great and good food. Wine was excellent as well. Can't wait to go again!!!

Went to Eddie Merlot's in Louisville for an early Valentine's dinner with the wife. Went on a Sunday evening, so it was not crowded at all, no wait. Was escorted quickly to our table.
Waitress was nice enough and admitted she was new. Tried a taste of a sweet wine, but wasn't sweet enough for my wife, so we both just drank water. Ordered the NY strip steak dinner for two, table side with two sides. They actually finish the steaks with a peppercorn sauce at your table, so that was entertaining. The flavor was good, but sadly the steak was disappointing. There was a considerable amount of fat and gristle with both of them. Side dishes were OK, but nothing special. Bread ended up arriving to the table after the steaks and the side dishes were delivered, so don't understand why it was delayed. We did split the carrot cake for dessert and it was amazing.
Final check with tip was $120. There was an unexplained up charge for one of the side dishes we ordered, which was a surprise to us. In summary, we didn't feel the experience met our expectations, based on the quality of the NY strip steaks we received at the price we paid. I would not recommend.
Overall, the staff in this place lacks the attention to detail to make it a great steakhouse. During our visit: 1) Fruit flies buzzing table when we were seated and during meal. 2) Server seemed somewhat disinterested overall. 3) They were out of Malbec on the night we were there. Unreal. 4) Steak (ribeye) was okay, but not what I was expecting. Not as good as Ruth's Chris, definitely nowhere near Jeff Ruby's steaks. 5) Bill came with a brochure for joining their "platinum club". Opened the brochure to find it had been drawn all over by some previous customer, which just sends a message of complete lack of attention to detail.
