Eddie Merlot's has created one of the hottest concepts today; the wine bar provides more than 75 wines by the glass and a very extensive reserve wine collection by the bottle. The bar is stocked with all of the finest spirits and after dinner cordials and Cognacs. The food was good. My ribeye was delicious. However, the service was below par. The appetizers and the main courses took a very long time to be served!

Sometimes you just catch a place on a bad night.
We have dined her often and always had great service and food.
this time however it was not up to par.
It started small with asking for extra butter that never came. Then we waited 10-15 minutes for our second glass of wine with empty glasses.
Finally one of our meals was the salmon with barbecue sauce and we asked for it to be served without the sauce. It came layered in sauce.
It took 10-15 minutes for the new meal to arrive while we all shared our meals with my wife who was without.

The place was not crowded at all on a Sunday night but it was apparent that our waiter had other tables that were more important.

We will be back and we will sit at the bar where we know the service is exceptional.

Unbelievably delicious food. The staff is great, well versed in their wines, and incredibly friendly. My wife and I went for our 29th anniversary and when we were seated, they gave us a Happy Anniversary card...was such a nice touch. Nothing is overlooked at Eddie Merlot's.

Went for the Easter brunch...really fantastic. Really excellent food, and to have it in a buffet setting was something special. Service was definitely better than average, staff was uniformly helpful and welcoming.

My husband and I attended the Easter brunch. The selections were wonderful, tasty and well presented. Servers kept food items full/available, and cleared off plates as needed. Nice option was the never ending mimosas for a $3 upcharge. As always, Eddie Merlot's does not disappoint!

Value and food were great. The only thing missing was drawn butter for the crab legs. We requested some and we were told it was not available because the crab was cold. Mounds of butter was used for the bananas Foster. We didn’t feel it was an unreasonable request.

The Easter Brunch was FANTASTIC! Everything that was eaten by me, my wife and daughter was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!! We consider Eddie Merlot's the best holiday brunch sight in the Northern Suburbs!!!!!!

Second less than favorable experience in a row. For some reason, they do not do well with holidays. We came for Easter and before that for Valentines Day. Easter was not as bad as Valentines Day but close. Everything on my plate was luke warm to cold by the time I sat down to eat. Carver gave me a very small portion of fillet mignon, because I wanted it well done. Downhill from there. Bloody Mary had tomato juice, vodka, celery and 1 olive. That's it. Bloody Mary's have turned into an art form on the North Shore. Not here. My surprise with both occasions is that normally this is a spectacular restaurant. Every time we have come for regular dinner the food is amazing. As is the service. So strike two for us, will not repeat for a holiday.

This is our 2nd Easter that we have had brunch at Eddie Merlot's. Out seating location was great, our waiter was great, as was the food. It is very pricey, but we love the food and the options that are available for Easter. It's perfect for our family. I only have one complaint, and that is that when we sat in the lobby area to wait for all our family to arrive, my husband was hit hard in the head by a large sign that was on an easel. A waiter ran out to move the chair in front of the sign and readjust the sign and easel, but took some time to ask if my husband was ok. I really felt like more attention should have been given to him to apologize and see that he was truly ok, as he was hit very hard. Thank God he was ok and that the sign didn't land on one of my grandchildren, as the outcome would have certainly been different.

Went for Easter Brunch with the family. The spread they had was top notch. Servers were very attentive. We were very impressed as we have been to many Easter Brunches over the years and this one was by far at the top of the list. We will definitely be going again next year.

Chose Eddie Merlot's for our restaurant week selection this year, as we try to visit different restaurants as much as possible. Our experience was very good. The selections on the prix fixe menu were excellent as well as the service. A very large wine room stocks a wide variety of wines that would satisfy everyone. We looked over the regular menu as well, and plan to return in the near future to sample some of the other cuisine from this menu too.

Very expensive for what you get. The cooking method tasted like the steak was right off a backyard grill, i.e., tasted like something I could do myself. Conversely, the flavor profile at Ruth's Chris or Fleming's (two suburban steak houses) is truly unique, and comes across much more professional.

Service was also sub-par. Our (finished) appetizer plates were left on the table for fifteen minutes. The waiter never filled our wine glasses, nor water. Lastly, our reservations were very early in the evening, yet they gave us a terrible table in an empty dinning. I will not be returning.

The food was exceptional. The Prime aged ribeye was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The waiter was a bit too enthusiastic to the point of seeming fake, but she was attentive. The ice cream was also delicious.

Eddie's has become one of our favorite Restaurants, and continues to deliver consistent quality, taste, and service.

We arrived 30 minutes early and took advantage of a few of their signature cocktails in the bar.
Keith was an excellent server (as usual), and the Wagyu Steaks are among the best cut of beef that we have ever eaten. They were cooked perfectly. The wine list at Eddie is also excellent, albeit at a very generous markup relative to Binny's or Liquor Barn pricing. The carrot cake was so generously portioned, that our party of three had difficulty finishing it.

Delicious meal. We had different salads, Caesar and burrata (yum!) and steaks (filet trio was superb) and it was all good. Our server was attentive and friendly. The manager was very nice but stopped by our table more times than necessary. We were happy customers so that was perplexing. Will be back again.

This was our second time at the Lincolnshire location and the service both times was fantastic! The calamari appetizer was not the best as there was a lot of breading and not the best flavor, next time we will stick up the tuna tartare! Everything else was fabulous. The Yellowfin Tuna and the Sea Bass were great and good size, nice salad, tasty Brussels sprouts and best part was the free birthday(Hubby's b-day) creme brûlée! We were stuffed but wanted to lick the bowl!
