Excellent corner table, great wine and good food. I ordered mid rare for my 8 oz filet but it came well done. They made a new one for me. The steak of my wife and friends were spot on.
The food was absolutely amazing! The service was exquisite and the atmosphere was very elegant. I cannot wait to go back!
Good food , great service what more can you ask for!
We come to Eddie Merlots often and always enjoy our meal. This particular night that we visited, they had a few larger parties in their party rooms. While our waiter was very attentive, we could tell they were struggling to keep up with these extra parties. We ordered and our salads came out right away. Our main dishes took quite a while and when they finally arrived, they were incorrect. Two of us ordered the salmon and subbed out broccoli instead of the spinach. We got spinach and mashed potatoes (which we didn't ask for). The dish is supposed to come with fingerling potatoes. The waiter got us the broccoli right away, but our fingerling potatoes came out after we were already done eating. While he apologized and brought us a free dessert for the mistake, I would have expected a manager to come over given the error. We will continue to go back because of the good food, but know they still seem to be struggling. We hope they stay open unlike some other restaurants who have been affected with the pandemic. I always feel safe eating at Eddie Merlots and glad they are following the mask mandate.
Great food, a little pricey, but nice option for a special night out.
Really enjoyed our visit! Great atmosphere, food was so good and our server was great!
Waitress was great.
We enjoyed our dinner and our server was great. We are looking forward to returning.
We love the Eddie Merlot and feel fortunate to live in the neighborhood. We've been there many times since it opened and unfortunate our experience last evening wasn't as satisfying as previous ones. We went last night to celebrate our anniversary. I understand the restaurant industry in general is very short staffed at this time. In fact, our waiter Luis worked as hard as he could in terms of servicing his numerous tables.
With this being said, given the fact that the restaurant is upscale and more expensive, I would had preferred it if they didn't accept as many reservations and instead put their effort into providing guests an experience we have come to know and expect.
I addressed our disappointment with one of the managers who was attentive to my concerns. She truly tried to best to compensate us for the experience we had.
Waitress Isabella was excellent.
She had too many tables, long wait for entree, appetizers and cocktails very good. Garden salad was expected. Baked potatoes skin over cooked and well in advance- hard to cut through skin, wild mushrooms were not all wild mushrooms, tomatoes were squishy,
Steak was very favorable , warm but not hot, rested too long.
High end steak restaurant should profess high end service and food and being critiqued against pre pandemic and peers.
New York strip steaks were ok tasting but very tough, hard to cut, and hard to chew. Disappointing. Eddie Merlot needs to find a different meat supplier. Definitely not a fine dining experience.
The ambiance was lovely, the appetizers were very good. BUT- my NY strip was completely overcooked. I sent it back and it came back almost blue-rare. I wasn’t going to send it back again. I took a few bites and plan to grill it up at home. When you are paying $60 for a cut of meat and things like Sous Vide exist, allowing for a perfectly-temperatured steak to simply be seared and plated, there’s just no excuse for a mistake, especially 2 mistakes! They are a STEAK HOUSE- you just shouldn’t eff up what you’re known for. I don’t mind paying high prices for good food but this meal was overpriced, and that just leaves a bad taste in one’s mouth.
Overall average. Eddie Merlot's was very busy on a Saturday night. They were short staffed and the service was average. Unfortunately, the waygu ribeye was very undercooked. The steak was taken off of our bill, which was very nice. Then another was steak was brought and it was also incorrect. The appetizers were very good.
it was cold inside the place. Slot of people kept their jackets on.
The generous portion of spicy shrimp appetizer was delicious. The Yellowfin Tuna and Filet were both excellent. Servers were attentive, room was very pleasant - sat by a fireplace. Overall, wonderful meal and experience.
The French onion soup was the best we’ve ever had, the filets were terrific, particularly the Wagyu. It was extremely tender and juicy. Everything was very good.
The food was good. House salad was very basic; shredded Lettuce, 2 slices of cucumber, a few tomatoes. Grilled romaine looked good and rhe creamy herb dressing was delicious. Steak was very tender but comes with nothing. The gluten free menu had many of the same options but no sauces. We got the bbq shrimp app on gluten free since one of our diners needed that. Don't bother ordering it if you have to get the gluten free. The chef should take some time to come up with some tasty gluten free options. Service was accurate, but the waitress was not friendly. Front desk staff was friendly upon entering.
Keith our server was great Food excellent. Great ambiance.
Food was decent but I think Wildfire down the street is much better taste.
Amazing food and service! The French filet with foie gras was outstanding. Will definitely be back soon!
Eddie Merlot’s is always our local go to for a good dinner and wine.
Anniversary. Always a great dining experience !
Great evening, service was fabulous, food was perfect!
Beautiful! Loved the decor. It was very busy when we first arrived, but still good service. Excellent appetizers and food.
When making the reservation I asked for a table in the lounge. When we got there, there were no tables in the lounge and a 45 min wait for a table. We opted to sit at the bar. Would have preferred a table.
It was a wonderful experience as three couples were celebrating our 50th Anniversaries! Thanks
Thank you for a memorable evening.
Server was excellent!
Food was delicious!
Not rushed at all and able relax and celebrate our anniversary!
Went here on a date night with my hubby. He had the bison and I had sea bass. We both really enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was very clean and the tables were nicely spaced out. Our server, David, was fantastic!
Very disappointed in the staff as they neglected to communicate a very special request that I discussed when making the reservation for 7 people and even after going over the special request upon arrival.
Consistently excellent food and service. Great menu selection and presentation complimented by a very good wine list. The atmosphere is comfortable and enjoyable.
Not a good and knowledgeable waiter. Waiter went thru the motions of taking care of us.Expensive. It was not a "value" meal and we were not looking for one. Very disappointing.
Food was of low quality and not we’ll prepared. Don’t think we will be going back.
Eddie Merlot’s did a real nice job accommodating our group of 8 last night. The server was thoughtful enough to let the group know exactly the timing of the food for each course. They set us up in a private area which was great for our medium size group.
Eddie Merlot’s is a great restaurant with many delicious beef choices on the menu. One dish may surprise you—the filet potstickers—but they were excellent! Overall, the food/drinks are a bit pricey, but worth it.
Celebrated my dads 87th birthday!
Great food,service and overall experience.
Attentive, professional service and outstanding food. We had yellowfin tuna and the prime ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection and flavor. Crab cake appetizer just right for two with corn relish and light sauce.
Very good food. Service was slow but we didn’t feel rushed. They had a 20th Birthday menu but one item was unavailable and they didn’t have a substitute. Overall great environment, comfortable chairs, very nice people
Filet was cooked to perfection. Got a few sides which were all so good. Husband got the sea bass. He didn’t care for it; very oily and small.
