All 3 of us were 1/2 way through our salads when the entrees came. Server wanted to take our yummy salads. We declined as we were enjoying our salads. Our entrees were taken away and put under heat lamps. And of course all the entrees were over cooked at this point. Waiter explained they have a new system to place orders to the kitchen. We will be back to try again.

Our server Kristen B. is very good and saw to our every need. She made the experience outstanding. The lobster and the steak were a very good complement to our birthday celebration

Food was very good and the drinks were good as well. The wait staff were better than what they delivered to the table. That's not say anything was bad but the price I have better food elsewhere. The clientele was a pretty big mix. The 16oz. steak was cooked right at medium rare but the cut was not not the best. Inconsistent tenderness and flavor throughout the steak. The salmon was cooked medium plus and it was very good. Filet was flaky but not dry still moist and full of flavor. Shared a creme brulee space was very good but it was not excellent. Overall it was a good dining experience but not the best in Fort Wayne.

Ehhh. I expected more for the price. You pay $100+ per person and the expectation is perfection. I shouldn’t have to wait on drinks, wait on food, wait on service. I’ll probably look elsewhere for my next special occasion.

Crab legs were good but a lot of work to peel eat. Many restaurants slice through the edges of the legs to make the meat more accessible. Waitress was not to accessible

Our waiter, Cory, was just phenomenal. Perfect blend of presence and service. This was a birthday dinner for my sister who had never been there before and she was very impressed with the whole experience. Almost all our food was amazing but we did feel that the taste of Bourbon was too strong in the creamed corn and was unable to finish it. We did not mention it at the time as it was such a small hiccup in the whole evening.

Berry White martinis and lemondrops were excellent! The salt block tuna was very good and nice presentation. The chop salad was 5 star as always (please don't ever change this). I had the blackened scallops. Those were very good along with the jalapeno creamed corn, but the potato cake was encrusted and I am GF so I couldn't eat that. My hubby ate it but he said he was just ok. He had the plank salmon and said it was very good as was the spinach, but the fingerling potatoes were barely cooked and had no spice or flavor. Neither one of us liked them. I humbly submit you need to improve your potatoes in both of these dishes.

The ambiance is amazing. The decor is absolutely beautiful, and the service is unbeatable. Most of all, the food is by far some of the best we've had, and we have been to many very nice restaurants.

Had to wait 45 minutes after our reservation time to get seated. Then another 15 minutes at the table until server showed up. Would've been nice to have been offered drinks as we waited.

We had a reservation for 7;00 in the bar room, nothing available and we waited until 7;30, and were seated in the main dinning room, which was ok, but we didn't like waiting until 7;30. Everything else went well.

Food, as always, was perfection! We came for our 15th wedding anniversary and unfortunately were seated right next to a large pillar. Food took longer than previous visits to come out, but I assume this was due to the place being rather busy.

E.M.’s is a fine dining experience with incredible food and a great atmosphere. The service could have been better, though.

Don’t expect to be seated right away - even with a reservation. We had a 7:15 reservation and waited until 8:00 to have our name called. It was very clear that their waiting staff was behind on seating customers. This is my only real gripe about the restaurant - if you allow customers to make a reservation, you should have a table *reserved* for them.

Our table was meant for two and wobbled back and forth a lot, we had to get an extra napkin to put under one of the legs to stabilize the table.

Once we were actually seated, it did not take long to be served our appetizers (which helped after the long wait to sit down).

The food was incredible. I had the 16 oz. aged New York Strip, and my date had the Blackened Scallops. I can’t speak for my date, but my steak was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was not overcrowded with seasoning or “addons”, and had a ton of flavor by itself. We also had the Mac & Cheese and Truffle Fries. The fries were incredible, but the m&c was nothing to phone home about.

For dessert, my date had the carrot cake and I had the triple chocolate cake. First of all - these slices were absolutely enormous. You should only get one piece and share it unless you want leftovers. My date’s cake was very good, but mine lacked much of the icing that the description offered, and the “chocolate sauce” they put on the top was more of a mocha sauce (which, if I had known about, I would have gotten something else). This aside, I was basically just eating cake with no icing on it. It was the only disappointing part about the meal.

The prices could be adjusted a bit, but I think the value was fair for the actual dining experience.

It was very loud inside the dining area, though I am honestly not sure why. The music was tasteful and but could have been quieter.

I would go back again.

It was amazing food and service. The issue for me was we had our reservation for 7:30 and had to wait probably 30 minutes or more to be seated. This is understandable a lot of people celebrating Valentine's Day on Saturday so I understand being busy. When they finally seated us it was at two top near the front and right in front of the kitchen door that would constantly stick and take the darkened lighting to a industrial bright white. Then we could hear staff yelling, banging what I assume was plates against trash cans to empty and yelling and joking. Then someone would get the door and then 30 seconds later someone else would come out and door stuck again. Then one of the waiters carrying a full tray on one side and the tray holder is other struck me accidently and kept going. After about 45 minutes one of the hostess came to ask us how everything was then she got a small taste of it and we explained the problem and she moved us 3 tables away. Then from their the evening was everything you expect from Eddie Merlot's simply amazing.

Salad plates were still on our table when entree came. In fact, I had to take my salad plate away for the server to set my entree plate down and handed it to her. Salad dressing boats were left on the table through the entire meal. My wife should have been served first and wasn't. My filet, not only was more rare than Medium Well should have been, but was barely warm when served. Certainly not the dinner I anticipated for the price I paid.

I’ve been to Eddie Merlot‘s several times but never this location. We were seated in an area where there was so much waiter and waitress traffic I almost got hit in the head with it tray many times. After complaining they finally moved us, but I felt like that I was being harassed afterwards by the waitstaff. They seated some new people in the original seats that we were in, there was a tray that got spilled right by the lady and it almost hit her. This is a Valentines celebration that turned sour quickly. Don’t see us ever eating at this location again

Be sure to call if your going to be late for your reservation. They took our names off the reservation list. We was 20 minutes late. They did get us a table after we was told there was no more tables. The lady taking names and managing the reservation was rude but everyone else was great. The food is awesome they time the courses perfectly. It's a wonderful experience.

We waited an hour and 20 minutes for our entrees. With almost 30 minutes in between appetizer and soup and salad. No apologies from anyone. We watched as we were one of the only people left in our seating area and still without our food. Our glasses were repetitvely left empty and we asked other servers multiple times for refills. This was our first time here and we definitely prefer baker street now. Baker street has our food (filet mignon entrees) out within half an hour and is just as good. We won’t be back. I was disappointed.

Just average. For being one of the best, it was, average, at best! The waitress was top notch, but, the bar took 20 minutes to get our drinks to us. Then, we ordered the $100 table side steak. It came out undercooked and then came out completely dry. The dining room is really dated from the 90s and offers no modern ambiance. We won’t be back and will stick with the much better locally owned options.

Every meal we have had here has been above expectations. Wonderful steaks and the Eddie Merlot Anniversary wine is our favorite! This is our special occasion restaurant for date night and we never regret our choice!
