The ambiance made for an amazing Mother’s Day with the family. Unfortunately the food left much to be desired. If only you could eat with your eyes since everything looked wonderful. However the omelets were burned, there was no gravy for the mashed potatoes, there was no au jus for the beef and the food generally lacked seasoning and flavor. The winners were the shrimp cocktail and the chocolate cake. I’m glad we came but we will go to another venue for the next special occasion.

The crab cakes appetizer is too small, you only get 2, 50¢ size cakes & not enough sauce. We were not offered bread for the table. Room temp, in the side room to the North was too warm. When we exited that room to leave, it was so nice to enter the main space & cool down. Row space is too small between tables with desert/coffee carts running into my husbands chair. He had to get up & push his chair in a few times to allow them to get through. They just kept pushing the cart forward without paying attention & a spill could have easily happened if the tablecloth had caught on anything. They should have came in & moved our table back toward the window. There was an obnxiously loud group at another table in the room toward the back & unfortunatley our table of 4 could not carry on a conversation. I wish a staff member would have said something to address it. I requested a 2nd refill of ice tea. That took a while to arrive, but after I finished that & wanted a 3rd, I just gave up & didn't ask for another. Granted it was the day before Mother's day and it was busy, but we were celebrating my husbands 70th birthday and I so wanted a 5 star expereince but it didn't happen unfortunately.

We celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary and I just wasn't wowed like my past visits. Service was ok, but food arrived slow and wasn't really hot. Our desserts took even longer to arrive.

The carpaccio was bad,meat look like salami and the bread was extremely hard and we could not bite it The Seabass was bland. I’m probably needed more sauce. Definitely not worth the money. The bread service tasted microwaved.

Excellent all around. Our server was great but a little chatty for my tastes and she also was trying to give us space but maybe a little too much space between dinner and dessert. A great restaurant and we will be back for sure.

Felt like we were being rushed. Not having been to Eddie’s before, would have appreciated getting a chance to settle in a bit more. Several loud tables/talkers nearby was a drag.

The staff was amazing and awesomely professional and treated us with such kindness. Amazing customer trust. It was our 35th anniversary and wouldn’t want to have been at any other restaurant with any other staff than what we had at Eddie Merlot’s!!
